    Dude sorry to call you dude lol. This is by far the best vid i seen on my new detector i never detected before i got it at a garage sale for 25 bucks lol yes, 25 bucks and it has the blue tooth head phones they sold it so cheap because they lost the charging cable i grabbed one on Amazon for 22 bucks so I'm into this detector for 47 bucks how did i do lol your a great teacher and you do it with humor thanks i will watch this vid s lot so when it goes from whatever views to over a million that will be me learning i have a cheap shovel and a cheap pin pointer coming i will upgrade the pinpointer if i actually go out and use this.. i know I'm not gonna go out tomorrow and find a gold ring..i know it's gonna be junk and pennies and maybe a quarter . I just hope i have fun.... Thanks for not planting things to make it look awesome. I know it's not a bad detector but it's it really worth the 47 dollars im into it. Oh by the way they said they got it for their son and he never used it he lost the charging cable lol

    Great video for hunters new to the Simplex! I am on the Texas Gulf coast and I use mine at the beach (dry and wet sand and in the water) all the time! I think it depends on how much mineralisation is in the sand. Some people hate it at the beach and others love it. It works for me where I am. I got the Simplex because it was affordable. The sp24 coil also helps a lot. Thanks for sharing!

    Nice video, you may want to consider swapping out the plastic lower shaft for the carbon fibre one which is available. It lightens it up and the CF shaft doesn't have bend to it which makes it feel less noodley when sweeping.

    Why is it not good in wet sand? I’m in Florida and was using mine on the beach, noticed that it would go off often in the wet sand and I’d dig a hole maybe a ft deep and it would STILL be going off. Is there a reason why?

    • @MontereyMagnetMan
      @MontereyMagnetMan  Год назад +2

      I think because it’s a single frequency machine, and whatever that frequency is, reacts with the minerals in the sand or water. I’ve had decent luck using all metal mode, 0 ground balance, and sensitivity around half.

  • @WTXMD-jq1qs

    Okay so if you are looking at getting your next detector and wanted to cover the wet and dry sand, Legend?

    • @MontereyMagnetMan
      @MontereyMagnetMan  Год назад +1

      Yea I ended up going with the legend, I’m liking it so far. Also the Minelab Vanquish 440 is good for the beach as long as you don’t submerge it.

I’m watching the Notka Detection company video for the next generation Simplex HOLY CHIT now there is more to look at . Anyway perhaps I’ll just jump and get the newest Simplex Ultra! Anyway for right now I’ll have to stick with my Bounty Hunter Pro which has been a beast at finding coins at the local lake beach area, and all the junk in my backyard lol!

  • @jacobfigdor307
    @jacobfigdor307 Год назад +1

    I bought it not long ago and plan to use it more at the beach. Is it really not suitable for the beach? Will it work in dry sand on the beach? And what about wet sand?

    • @MontereyMagnetMan
      @MontereyMagnetMan  Год назад

      It falses pretty bad in the wet sand. Dry sand is ok. But any machine that isn’t simultaneous multi-frequency is going to have the same issue

    • @MontereyMagnetMan
