Seriously, If I had the choice again (and $) to go with a Minelab or a Simplex+ for the second metal detector I ever bought, it's a no brainer! I started out detecting field, so I always used "field mode"...MISTAKE! Go with "All Metal Mode" and listen to your machine closely while following along with the numerical display. I increased my finds by at least 5 fold and depth you can get out of the machine on "All Metal" is insane. I've dug colonial coppers that sounded like they were 2" down and were really 14" down with this mode. YO HAVE TO KNOW YOUR MACHINE! Take your time to get used to all the different settings, nuances, issues, and great things about the machine, and you won't believe what you start pulling out of the ground. I've detected side-by-side with Minilabs' and in almost every case I've ended up with WAY more GOOD finds than my buddies using their 1K machines. Simplex+ is the way to go!

Awesome review. I started with a Whites years ago and had some great finds with that. I recently purchased the Simplex and I'm waiting for it to be delivered. Can't wait to start using it.
Thanks for explaining the settings. Im just south of Pittsburgh and my Simplex + should be here tomorrow. Not sure where to start detecting, other than my backyard!
I just found my 10th gold ring of the year in Central Texas using the Simplex+ in park mode 2 near Full power no discrimination locked on a solid 21 mid tone in 1 inch of soil.
You did an excellent job on how well the Nokta Makro Simplex+ preforms. The quarter at 10 inches deep doesn't give you an ID but those are the ones I like to dig because of the depth.
Also a PA resident myself, I am looking to get one of these to complement my Nox 600, and also to have a detector for someone else to use to detect with me. Love those stable VDI's, which is the Nox's biggest downfall.
I am glad I found this. I have a Garrett pin pointer I’ve been using with an old Whites Prizm 2 and did not have any interference. The Simplex+ just hates it no matter the frequency. F1 is best but it’s still annoying. However I got a pin pointer with the Simplex+ WHP package. So I popped the battery in it and no interference. 👍 I did not know what the different frequency’s were used for. Thanks

Thanks for this info. I’m new, only been detecting about 4 months. Started BH Tracker IV, got it used in box with headphones, manual like new $40. Did well once I figured it out. Found quite a bit in a local park & at OCNJ. Then wanted VDI and more features, snagged a ACE 400 for $168 used great shape with headphones from a dealer. Hasn’t worked out as well for me as I thought, plus I really wanted a Simplex. Was watching Marketplace and couldn’t pass up a like new in the box Nokta Makro Simplex + for $150. Luckily I was first to show up with cash. Came with a Pinpointer too. I’m on a tight budget so I’ll probably have to sell the ACE 400 to replace the $150, though I’d like to keep it as a backup. I’ll probably end up with the BH as the backup. I wrote down your ID numbers for reference. What does a clad penny ring up at? How about a gold ring? Does the Simplex have an option of dual tones, low for ferrous and high for silver? Glad I found your channel. Where in PA was the soil sand, or were you in NJ? Thanks, Dave In Wyomissing PA. BTW, what is your major in?
Perfect timing, I just got mine a week ago. I "simply" can't use it, as our heat index is hovering around 100° daily. I'm too old to deal with such temps, so I just keep taking it out of the closet and adjusting the Velcro I added to the shaft. 🤪
Also, the instructions that come with the machine are separated by each feature, and are all explained clearly enough that even I could understand them while I set my Simplex up for the first time. I had an ancient analog Minelab from the 80's that, while it did the job, it was certainly dated, and often failed to detect the obvious. The Nokta featured not only plenty of screen notifications, but the ergonomics turned out to be very comfortable, with no tendency to twist or roll over in my hand. I live near the coast, so the beach feature really appealed to me, along with my town having numerous parks and family recreation areas to have fun in. Thanks for the review and use instruction. Well done.
Excellent Video. Enjoyed it very much. I bought the Simplex WHP a couple years ago but never really used it. After watching your video, guess i,ll use it more this coming spring
Great video. Thanks. I'm a beginner with a Simplex. I plan to hunt the banks of the Mississippi River. Its packed silt/sand/clay mixture. Its not difficult digging but not so simple as typical beach sand. Should I use Beach mode or Park 1/2? I've only taken it out once in the yard. I'm sure its trashy with fishing gear but there's lots of history there. Its an old closed Lock system.
thanks I tried to put in everything I would want to see in a review. I was surprised by the whites to. I even tested before filming and tried changing the settings to have it preform better with no luck.
Hello Brad from Atlanta Georgia I love your presentation the Simplex Plus you did an extraordinary video that nobody else is done all of these people that are older I don't think they understand they don't show you the automatic and manual ground balance but your video has detail and everything they have now made in software a new version I think it's 7.62 for the Simplex plus So when you buy a new one it'll come with the new version you may have to ask him to send you the new version so thank you anyway thank you my friend you did a great video really enjoyed it keep making those videos
Your review is the most informative I've watched. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. I plan on purchasing one. I'm new to metal detecting so any knowledge about the simplex is greatly appreciated thanks. Keep digging.
Interesting the differences between detecting in the US vs the UK. Here in the UK, you can be confident that nearly all areas have had people living in them, dropping iron all over the place for 1000 years or more. That has its pros and cons!
This is a great video. Thank you for showing us the different features. I just got a Simplex and haven't had the chance to explore with hit but now I want to get out there after seeing this. Thank you! Stay safe :)
The simplex is the next detector i will be purchasing. Started out with a whites eagle spectrum and a tesoro silver sabre 2(which i still have both and use often) then bought the whites dfx which i didnt like at all and sold very quickly. It looks like the simplex detects at depths that nothing i've ever owned would even come close to. My only concern about the simplex is with the battery, i've read that it is inaccesible and requires a return to the factory to replace(hope that isn't true and would be a real pain if that is the case) Look forward to owning the simplex and trying it out....great review!
Great video.Really appreciate it have watched it several times as I've been out of it for awhile. Dusting of my simplex plus and getting a refresher course. One question. I'm embarrassed to ask but..how do I know what version I have? I think it is the 2.77. but not sure. I never uploaded anything just using it out of the box. Bought it about 3 years ago when they first came out. Thanks!
I recently purchased the Simplex+ and it is a very capable machine. The MXT is also a great machine and there is no way that you set it up for maximum depth because it is one of the deepest machines that I have ever owned. No way my MXT would miss an 8 or 10 inch deep quarter. Something isn't right !!
If anyone else has a simplex today with the newer updates it now features a mute button on the bottom far left (: so just mute it quick before you go to pinpoint if chatter remains while pinpointer is on
Great review!! I have been looking at a lot of reviews and almost got a mxt all pro until I seen your review. You sold me on the simplex+, I’ll be getting one soon.
Really good video. I've been watching a ton of reviews lately because I'm looking to buy an entry level device. The features & bang for the buck with the Simplex seems unmatched. Your run through of all the settings was very helpful.
Like your video, and will probably be ordering a Simplex + because of it. The one thing I would have liked to have you tell us was, like you did with the Simplex +, what settings you set up for the MXT and the 400. Did you have settings tweaked for maximum depth? BTW, you refer to the MXT several times as a MTX. Until you showed all 3 detectors in the video, you had me googling White's MTX as I'd never heard of a MTX :)
Before finding this well made/informative video, I had already ordered this detector-its arriving tomorrow. I'll be referring back to this as I learn to use it.-John

I'm in my 20s and the heat is keeping me inside! 100 is just too hot. But ivd been doing some water detecting which has been a nice change
@@1894Outdoors I hear you, brother....looking at the forecast, it may be another week or more before I get to try out the new machine.
Well done.
I just ordered mine today so excited
My wife and I love our simplex,we both got one.
I love mine!
Great vid. Getting my Simplex tomorrow and cant wait to jump in.
You will love it! Come back and let me know how you like it
Going backyard hunting today. Do you have a Facebook page?
MTX? LOL - Just ribbin'' ya! EXCELLENT vid! Wish I knew how it performs in bad dirt???
Thanks for the review. I just ordered mine. Can't wait to swing it.
Your welcome! You will love the simplex!
It's my 4th machine but it's the first that I've been really excited to receive. Haven't had a machine in over a year and I'm stoked.
@@woodguy76 well when you get it and head out come back and let me know what you find
@@1894Outdoors I definitely will. I live in a great area called Templeton, MA. Very old community. Im researching some spots now.
Nice video I just got mine and updated it. Waiting for the pouring rain to stop and get out there. Thanks for a great video
Thanks! Good luck when you get out
Really impressed with your concise review on this unit. It's one that Im looking into purchasing , thanks.
That was a great review, showing different machines. Was surprised the White didn't do better.
thanks I tried to put in everything I would want to see in a review.
I'm glad you enjoyed the video and found it helpful! You can update the simplex to the new update really easily online! Thankf for watching the video
Your review is the most informative I've watched. Thank you for sharing your experience and knowledge. I plan on purchasing one. I'm new to metal detecting so any knowledge about the simplex is greatly appreciated thanks. Keep digging.
Thank you for such a clear and helpful video. I've just bought one and about to get to grips with it here in the UK.
An excellent review. All details covered well. Great watch and great job.👍
Thank you! I love the machine and wanted to update my initial review
I just bought it, and i love it, found 160 year coin on my first 10 meter 😀
Just started md watched this review, buying a simplex tomorrow ty from jules ipswich england 👍👍👍
Thanks for watching! You live in an amazing place to metal detect I'm really jealous
@@1894Outdoors ty , well if you ever want to come across the pond and do some over here in suffolk let me know buddie .... julian 👍👍
Interesting the differences between detecting in the US vs the UK. Here in the UK, you can be confident that nearly all areas have had people living in them, dropping iron all over the place for 1000 years or more. That has its pros and cons!
Yea there are some very clean areas in the US where there is literally nothing
This is a great video. Thank you for showing us the different features. I just got a Simplex and haven't had the chance to explore with hit but now I want to get out there after seeing this. Thank you! Stay safe :)
I'm glad you enjoyed the video! Get out there and see what you can find. Make sure to come back and tell me what you dig up!
I enjoyed your video on simplex thanks for sharing your time and knowledge
Best explanation of the various settings I have seen. Great video, thank you.
Thanks!
Subscribed and thanks bud for the great video . I just bought a pair of Simplex's for my wife and I and now we'll have a much better time of it !
Just got my simplex and the video was a great help
that's great to hear I'm glad to help! any more questions feel free to
leave a comment
I recently purchased the Simplex+ and it is a very capable machine. The MXT is also a great machine and there is no way that you set it up for maximum depth because it is one of the deepest machines that I have ever owned. No way my MXT would miss an 8 or 10 inch deep quarter. Something isn't right !!
My thoughts exactly. My M6 or a MXT will not miss a 10" quarter.
Hello good day watching from Philippines, sir I just want to know how deep is tha detection of this detector thanks.
Peace, thank you for this video. I want to know the wave that indicates gold.
I love that I just found you. I am seriously looking at getting this detector and helps me make up my mind.
I'm glad I could help! thanks for watching :)
The simplex is still awesome.
@@sirkyoj1 got that right!
Ladies That like a metal detector are awesome
If anyone else has a simplex today with the newer updates it now features a mute button on the bottom far left (: so just mute it quick before you go to pinpoint if chatter remains while pinpointer is on
Awesome video, i just purchased a simplex+and found this video to be very helpful..thank you
Much love from Michigan
Great review!! I have been looking at a lot of reviews and almost got a mxt all pro until I seen your review. You sold me on the simplex+, I’ll be getting one soon.
That's awesome if you want a great deal check out metaldetectingstuff.com. I buy everything off Wayne and he is a great guy
Make sure you check out my most recent video to it goes over the new updates which make some great changes
Great video thank you! Superb. Getting my Simplex as soon as possible 👍🏻
You will love it! Happy Hunting and thanks for watching :)
Thank you for this great video Brad. i just got the Simplex and am excited to give it a try. First detector! This was very helpful!
So happy I could help! Enjoy :)
Before finding this well made/informative video, I had already ordered this detector-its arriving tomorrow. I'll be referring back to this as I learn to use it.-John
Thank you so much for this video. This is my first metal detector and this video explained a lot. Looking forward to more videos. Now just have to find a place to use it besides my back yard
I'm glad I could help! After the pandemic is over get over and ask! After the first time it gets easier. I'm going to be putting a video up about how I go about asking and finding my permissions.
1894 Outdoors looking forward to it thanks
What kind of pinpointer was it that you mentioned? I just want to know how to spell it so that I can google it. Thanks. Great helpful video. We just bought the Simplex+
