I haven't posted a tips and tricks video in a while - This is my personal Top 5 Tips for any beginner detectorist.. If you have any of your favourite tips and tricks.. please post them in the comments! Take it easy
Just unboxed my Simplex+ and completely new to the hobby! Really looking forward to getting to know the machine and the hobby. This video was very helpful and I will plan on checking out more of your content. I really like how you stated the tip, and then showed the tip in the field. Well done! Thank you!
Massive pleasure, im glad this helped you! Once you understand what the machine is telling you, you will have loads of success! Enjoy and good luck! Leon
You are right these tips make a HUGE difference. Helped me a lot , thank you. in one hunt these tips took my detecting from a complete mess to partially well targeted. I actually found things. 3 coins, a bullet casing and what looks like a modern brass buckle for a horses harness.
Really happy that this helped you. As a experienced detectorist I feel I have to share these tips to help grow the hobby. Keep on going, and the good stuff will come💪💪
Going out for the first time on a rally, but it is also the first time metal detecting. I bought a Simplex. I thought your video was very good and I hope I can use what you have showed us. Many thanks.👍👍😉
I never leave comments on videos... Your a absolute legend 🙌 👏 and I must thank you!! Thank you so much! I have saved this video and already watched it twice! This video has helped me more than anything or anyone else! Looking forward to more videos on the simplex. Thank you and God bless you 🙏
Just had my Legend delivered today and as a beginner I have been scouring RUclips for advice.... As soon as I am assembled I am heading straight into the garden and will learn as much as possible before heading out into the real world lol. So much great advice here thank you very much 👍
Many thanks for your tips. I sold my first detector after a couple of months, because i just didn't understand it and digged everything. These tips help a lot and convinced me that i should buy one back again.
Thank you very much very good video I just purchased a Symplex recently and I’m trying to learn how to use it and every other video says to turn the iron volume down but after watching yours I could hear the difference from it being turned down and being turned up, I was able to distinguish the difference so good job keep it up.
Hi George, its a massive pleasure. Im glad you found this video helpful. Thats the difference between an experienced user and other detectorists. I will keep on sharing my tips and tricks to you help you all. Take it easy
Lekker tips broer! Thanks, I will definitely work on applying a few of these - especially to lift the coil higher to identify trash signals. I was toying with the idea of turning iron volume down but now I won't! Nice meeting you... will keep an eye out for your content!
You are 100% correct. I am glad you enjoy these videos, and I appreciate comments like these. Motivates us to carry on doing what we're doing. Take it easy🇿🇦🇿🇦
Just ran a cross this video. You’re information is awesome. You explained everything very well. I am looking to purchase my first metal detector and start this new hobby. I am thinking about the Garrett AT Pro, the Fisher F-22, or the tektronics. What do you suggest?
+Draven Watson Thank you for the comment. Those are all very well know machines and you wont regret using them. Depending on your budget and where you hunting. Also look into the XP series of machines. Amazing machines
Tip 2 I get, that iron grunt when you move your coil back is a good indicator. But what if the coin is side up in the ground? Would you still get a constant ID?
No not necessarily, the technique is not fool proof, but the cgances of you finding coins on edge will be much less than flat or semi flat in the ground. This is a technique you add to your detecting arsenal going forward
Thanks for watching. I see the beach as a dirty park.. so apply the same when hunting the dry sand. In wet sand, you would need to manually ground balance to zero, back down with your gain 1 or 2 notches and you should be good. Also, if you have the SP24 coil, it works much better in the wet sand and salt water than the standard coil.
I agree, but this also comes with time. Spending time getting to know the tones is vital. Once your ear is in tune its easy to pick up the good from the bad. Thanks for commenting
+Lee haha im sorry. Look eventually you will develope your own style and setup your machine the way that works for you. whether you put iron on 1 or 3, make sure that you can hear the iron.. thats the important part. You need to take advantage of ALL the information the machine is giving you to make a decision on digging or not. Spending time on digging less holes with more quality targets. Good luck
@@barrychuckle5565 If you are referring to notching out certain target ID's (VDI Numbers) then yes. Dont notch. You will have to spend atleast a 100 hours on the machine to get to a point where you confidently know which VDI ranges relate to what targets.
@@ZARRPSMETALDETECTINGSA yes, that's what I meant. Thanks so much for replying and thanks for your great video - it's a stand out in a sea of not so great ones!
Best tip do not buy a detector! Unless you like listening to junk beeps all day long. You want to find money? Pickup aluminum cans and you will find paper money!!
Stop buying this brand .I’m not sure the quality is not good or I’m just bad luck . Mine stop working after digging for 4 times . The worst thing is the poor after service. There is only one guy who’s in charge in the service. How and How long it’s going to be fixed all depending on his mood.Mine detector started not working in June . Until now July 28 it’s still not fixed. Warning! Think about the after service before you buy it unless you want to have headaches after one month warranty expired.
I can tell you that Nokta Makro has a fantastic aftersales service, I have never had an issue with them, and they have always tried to figure out the issue when one arrises. Maybe it was just your bad luck. In any case, don't comment on a user guide video to complain or badmouth a brand. You can do that in your personal capacity.

Thanks for your tips but I haven't seen anyone do a video on finding a gold nugget whit that simple x
Its a pleasure. You wont find that. The Simplex is not made for prospecting. At 12khz frequency, if its a large nugget, you would pick it up.
I can always tell the coins I can hear the sizzle or laser sound when I pull back on the coil
I agree, but this also comes with time. Spending time getting to know the tones is vital. Once your ear is in tune its easy to pick up the good from the bad. Thanks for commenting
Is that ok if I use any kind of adapter to charge simplex detector
Hi Noah, no. I would recommend that you only use a cable dedicated to charge the Simplex. As for using any USB adapter.. That should be fine.
Like a USB adapter for iPhone
Should work fine
does this aply for version 2.76?
100% will work for version 2.76
who won the mi6 pin pointer ?
A guy called Edwin Spratley
Well done.
