I just ordered this detector after watching tons of videos, including yours. I have not seen ONE bad review on it yet. I have two Bounty Hunter detectors which I call "entry level" machines. My Simplex will arrive Friday. Can't wait. Thanks.

I bought one too....and fond 4 coins in the dark.....5 feet out my door in my yard....where I have used a Garrett Detector all over it. These detectors are amazing
I just upgraded from my BH Tracker IV. Bought this on pre-order, and was waiting for a full review. This has everything I wanted to know. I feel so much more comfortable using it now. Thanks so much for the video! I can't wait to take it out tomorrow! EDIT: I would love to see you review it in freshwater, like a river. That's where I'll be doing most of my hunting. I'm curious to see how it does underwater. Until then, I'm gonna hit the banks, parks, and pastures. Thanks again!
That is quite the upgrade. You will be thrilled it I think. I'll have plenty of water videos coming in the spring and summer. Getting a wet-suit and all that good stuff. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Just purchased this machine yesterday, and wow! What a phenomenal detector, it is so light, clean looking, the display screen is amazing, easy to see even in the sunlight, the buttons on the display screen are fantastic, the build quality feels like it should have cost double the amount its on the market for, very happy!
It could easily be sold for $500 and still fly off the shelves. Just 5 years back it likely would have been in the $650-700 range. NoktaMakro hit a grand slam for sure.
Brand new to this. Considered a few models. Watched this video and bought one on Amazon. With Headphones & free shipping $339. Excellent, clear, practical video. Keep up the great work.
Best video I've seen on this unit. Very thorough. I was glad to see that you do not have to use the wireless headphone. Other videos I watched never mentioned the dongle option. I will be ordering it now fo sure. New sub.

You should build the ultimate test bed to you're liking. I think a neat example would be with freshly dug coins that still are dirty and uncleaned but you know what they are. I really have not seen that one.
Correct. Field and Beach will both provide superior depth compared to Park mode - which increases recovery speed and separation (at depth cost). Appreciate the kinds words!

@@thehuntergt I guess park mode will be the one for very trashy areas then. Again, this helps a lot, thanks!

If that person needed a pinpointer and digging tool as well...yes as that add $100. If the budget was just for the detector - I might recommend the Minelab Vanquish 540 Pro Pack.

Great review and I'm going to get one. Only problem I had with the review is you never did a beach mode and I live on the beach and will probably only be using it on the beach. I know you said the beach mode was only one tone but still would have been cool. Thank you for your great review,.
Appreciate you watching. Yeah I didn't do beach mode or all-metal as some of my videos get pretty long in the tooth. I do know there are some other tests with it in beach mode online...Gigmaster being one of them.
It won't be replacing my Anfibio or Kruzer, but a great backup and loaner for sure. Somebody just entering the hobby will feel great. Thanks for watching.
As a beginner who hasn't bought a metal detector yet, is the field, park and beach modes just a preset discrimination modes? Also, at 17:54, how do you know which black boxes mean what (for different metals), as in how did you know the first box was iron, and what are the rest? That's the part i don't understand. Hope that makes sense!
For the most part - yes. However, the park mode will also increase recovery speed. Field and beach will be slightly deeper because of this. The manual goes over where each ID lands on the conductivity scale. Iron-foil-nickel-zinc-copper-silver...etc. Each box is 5 points wide, so it is just remembering where it lands. I've reviewed over 50 detectors so it comes naturally. Keep at it...you will be a veteran in no time.
No worries. It is the less expensive buy...and I feel you do get more for your $$ with the Simplex. Just my opinion. I'm sure a Nox owner would say otherwise.
Great video, how about a look at that Nokta-MAKRO pack detector. I believe it's called IMPACT. I'd love to see a comparison of these two models. While the Simplex+ is all water proof, the IMPACT looks like it might have better balance.
Just wondering you can discriminate iron right? That’s the eliminate setting you showed earlier in the video? Seems like a dumb question really curious because there is a lot of iron in the corn fields I go through and would like to take. Out all together
Yes for sure I still recommend it. Price to performance king in my opinion. It can detect gold for sure...check out the SP24 and SP22 coil reviews I did for it.
Is there any difference with the machines with the 2 price points? Is the price difference only because of headphones? And since the headphones are wireless can you use and pair any wireless earpods?
I just bought one from my friend who got it through you and I don’t have instructions this helped a lot . I guess I’ll need todo an update ? He used it 15 times and it’s been sitting for about 4 months lol I’m off to try it 😎
It seems the plastic latches on these units are fragile and break easily. Mine was broken before assembly and first use. A manufacturer rep seemed to intimate this was a common problem, telling me he was trying to figure out the source of the broken units. Seems I wasn't the only one with this issue.
Sorry to hear that. Hope you can get it sorted. NoktaMakro is usually fantastic with repairs under warranty. I personally have never heard a single comment or post anywhere else about the latches being fragile or failing. Not saying it does not happen on a few of them (all products have random failures) - but it is not a problem on a larger scale that I am aware of.
I am now a Nokta-MAKRO dealer. Contact me via email at thehuntergt@gmail.com to get pricing and info on all detectors - coils - accessories.
Hello Hunter, do any of the other nokta makro coils work with the simplex. Also do you know if they will be selling any smaller coils for the simplex?

Awesome review buddy. Cany wait for mine to arrive.
Hopefully not long now.
OK sorry about the confusing comment what mean nokta simplex is it a better buy then equinox 800? I value your opinion👍
No worries. It is the less expensive buy...and I feel you do get more for your $$ with the Simplex. Just my opinion. I'm sure a Nox owner would say otherwise.
This machine is revolutionary for its price and features. I bet this will sell even better than the ace 250 or atpro when it first came out
It sells very well, that is for sure.
Thanks this has convinced me on buying one great vid
Glad to hear...thanks for watching.
Excellent best review yet of this detector everything I needed to know definitely buying one
Thank you for the kind words. It really is a great detector for the price.

Excellent video. Many thanks for your helpful effort. Much appreciated.
My pleasure. Thanks for watching.
Do you recomend this machine I’m doing all around hunting including beach?
For the price...yes. It is not the best beach hunter being single-freq...but it is very capable...and many people find gold in salt water with it.
Getting one, for sure.
Would have liked to purchase it from you - but the shipping is just too expensive.
/Anders, from Sweden
No worries Anders. I agree - you would be crazy to pay shipping from here to there.
What would you choose between this and a Goldfinder pro, for gold prospecting in creeks, foothills, mountains? cheers
Excellent video, thank you sir.
Thanks for watching!
Great video, how about a look at that Nokta-MAKRO pack detector. I believe it's called IMPACT. I'd love to see a comparison of these two models. While the Simplex+ is all water proof, the IMPACT looks like it might have better balance.
Thanks David. I will be asking for them to send me one for review soon. Looks to be awesome for the price.
Good informative video
Just wondering you can discriminate iron right? That’s the eliminate setting you showed earlier in the video? Seems like a dumb question really curious because there is a lot of iron in the corn fields I go through and would like to take. Out all together
Yes you sure can... or you can make it so iron is lower volume as well...or even muted.
Do you still recommend this detector in 2020? What is it best for detecting? Can it detect gold?
Yes for sure I still recommend it. Price to performance king in my opinion. It can detect gold for sure...check out the SP24 and SP22 coil reviews I did for it.
@@thehuntergt ok thank you
Great film my friend!
Thank you sir!
Great review man ! Really, Thanks for posting!
Is there any difference with the machines with the 2 price points? Is the price difference only because of headphones? And since the headphones are wireless can you use and pair any wireless earpods?
Same machine. Price because of headphones in the only difference. You must use the NoktaMakro headphones to pair wireless.
Effectiveness for small gold targets in bedrock crevices?
It does decent. Check the SP24 and SP22 coil reviews I did for it (review playlist). I test some pretty small gold there.
@@thehuntergt Nice. I will check out your coil reviews. Thank you for making these videos.
I just bought one from my friend who got it through you and I don’t have instructions this helped a lot . I guess I’ll need todo an update ? He used it 15 times and it’s been sitting for about 4 months lol I’m off to try it 😎
Superb video..
I do not like the tones but
this thing can and will rock the boat from time to time
It may sink a few boats as well!
TheHunterGT
As long as it aint my boat 😁
Great video Hunter. Top notch!
Thank you Jason!
