Today received my new sp24. Also tested in a lake. It really goes deep and is very sensitive. Easier to locate the target then the big coil. Let's see how it works on relic soil. For now I like it very much and compared with the minelab cool it's much more cheaper. By the way.... Thanks for the test. It's very good
I picked up one of those coils for my Nokta simplex I got back in March. My machine cranked on full sensitive is not as sensitive as yours when it comes to air dust. I hope I didn’t get a counterfeit coil! Update a day later. I did a coin test on park mode 1 with maxed sensitivity. All coins stopped being picked up at 9” on the air test.
Finally a channel where I learned so much I got the simplex and the anfibio multi and I had a hard time with it finally starting to find coins before it was just pull tabs and cans lol
I still dig a lot of cans we have a permission to an 1842 fairground and there is so many cans and pull tabs and a ton of clad coins so far my friend did get a old silver ring today I am very new in this and the anfibio has been a pretty steep learning curve but it's getting better every time we go out still have to find a silver with any of the machines
Thank you so much for the video. I do have 2.78 and I hope I get pretty good results. Being a beginner,I like less chatter. Did try 77. Too much chatter.
Really nice John! Can't wait for your next video for the sp22! Its actually the first video I see with actual separation tests for this coil. I am still hesitant to which one I'm gonna pick. Since I detect on iron infested sites quite often... I think I'm gonna go with the 9.5x5 eliptical one... Lets see how the two compares to each others.
Just picked up an SP24 this afternoon. Also bought the carbon fiber bottom shaft. Took it in the backyard and immediately found a pull tab and i was happy! Why was i happy? Because it pinpointed perfectly. I dug a smaller than usual plug and it was RIGHT in the middle.
@@thehuntergt yea not really finding anything good its very find gold i got to drive like 3 hours one day to umpqua or someplace good my buddy gave me that sluice its good sluice i had to sell my gold kruzer kinda bummed but this corona thing has made it little tuff and i had to buy new tires have u been to visit oregon lately
I have 2.78 and the stock 11 inch Dd coil. Which of the coils would be best all around for a novice? I hear this coil in the video is best? Thanks for any input you may have buddy!
Hey John, Question on my simplex plus which I bought from you...I have version 2.78...and I am thinking of getting the Sp24 elliptical coil..is that just as good a match as the 2.77??? You say it will work but will it work just as good with 2.78 If I wanted to could I load 2.77 or will it throw me for a looper..since I'm still learning this machine. Thanks!
Ive narrowed my search to between the legend and the simplex, Im willing to pay more for the legend if its that much better in spots with polluted with lots of iron. I need a waterproof machine too, seems I cant do any better than the legend. I would think the legend would be a noticable advantage over the simplex in heavy iron right? just a more stable machine overall
Do you think the SP 24 coil is better than the stock coil overall? It seems more stable and obviously easier for separation but I’ve heard the VDI numbers are more stable
The legend would be better for small gold than the simplex hey? man kind of wishing I bought my detector from you, if the third attempt to order one is denied again. You ever throw in a free stash pouch? lol hopefully the order fine this time, been stressful, one of the big vendors
Question... I bought my Simplex when it 1st came out and never updated the firmware.... Should I update it or what do you recommend? What exactly is the difference, I know there will be 2 park modes but what else? Does it help with depth at all??
Great review, as always John. I hope that you and your clan are all well my friend. My Wednesday evenings are crap without your live stream.
Thanks for this review. I absolutely love this machine.

Thanks Jimmy...stay tuned! Always have loved this coil size...especially on the F19 and T2. I see it spending plenty of time on the Simplex shaft.
Very impressive! I really like that Simplex and the new coil!
It is the good stuff for sure.

Seems to do the trick in iron...for sure an improvement over the stock coil.
cant wait to see the other coil vid good review as always
Thanks Neil. Good job on that gold prospecting lately.

Great review Hunter!
Thanks my friend!
I love this coil!!! Its what i use 90% of the time.
It rarely comes off mine.
Good depth and separation and a really good price!
Yeah the price point is really nice, and the performance is there too.

Awesome!!! Still using my Simplex and Tek-Point pinpointer!!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 Maybe one day I will get this new coil tho....lol ☺️
I will be having a live stream giveaway for one when they release. Stay tuned!

Hi. Do the various Simplex+ coils from Nokta come from the factory with the search coil scuff protector covers already installed?
Yes they sure do.
Love the opening tune
Shred on my friend.
Nice I am so excited to use this coil!
Great coil...really improves the separation.
Superb! Thanks so much, really helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Very nicely done John. If you ever need a tester for a detector I would like to volunteer LOL
lol...If only they left that decision up to me!
Great review! As always.
Thanks!
pretty good depth ...coil looks beefy looks like it could take a little beating on rocks..will be looking for the round coil review ..
Yeah it is built really well like everything else they make. SP22 coming tomorrow!

I can't find 2.77 on nokta website....do you have a copy
I do not sorry. A shame they took it off. Forcing people to use the inferior update is ridiculous.
How much depth is lost by going to the sp24 over the 11 in stock coil?
A few inches. It will still hit 6-7-8 inches on most coin sized objects no problem.
Great review mate :)
Thank you, very kind.
@@thehuntergt i will get one of those coils, bit lighter and i like that shape

I've not noticed any ID stability increases with it. It will handle EMI better being a smaller antenna. I do prefer it on a personal level yes.
Great video sir. Which coil do I need for coin shooting? I can't find a buy page or code for SP22/24.
They are both great coinshooting coils. No buy page or codes. Use the contact form on website - or email me at thehuntergt@gmail.com to order.
Thanks. How is recovery and separation performance at depth?
The deeper it goes...the worse it gets...like most detectors.
@@thehuntergt infantryman, John
Hi GT Hunter when will those coils be available.
Not sure yet...should be very soon as buy codes and pricing is already set.
Sir good day......example an object have size of 40x40 cm...is thus coil can detect in 1 m...thank you
So that 15X15 inches....it "might" hit it at a meter....I would not be surprised.
Can this coil be purchased as a package with the unit? Instead of the standard coil?
The spring promotion has the coil included for free. Wireless model only.
Hey great video. Have a question? If I buy a simplex today 9/11/20 will I have the 2.78 up date on a new simplex? Thanks
Sorry just saw this. To answer - yes - all new manufactured Simplex are the latest update.
first coils with CM name and not inches! haha they are really cool coils
Yup...all NoktaMakro coils go my CM instead of inches.
thanks
What's with the coil cover, is it suppose to be removed prior to using?
It is to prevent scuffing the bottom side in rocky terrain - and should be left on.
Is there a difference between the Simplex+ and Simplex?
Nope.

To use the sp24 or sp22 you should update to version 2.7*
The 2.7X series brings extra depth...Park 2 which has a better tone break...and a threshold adjustment for All-Metal mode...and backlight adjustments.
@@peterspeets9950 ok. I hope to get that soon...lol
@@thehuntergt thanks buddy!!! I'll update it ASAP then!!!
@@thehuntergt I didnt think it had more depth just more adjustment.? I run my 2.68v at max sensitivity. Slightly noisy but I can live with that.
This one i like!!!
Yeah this coil is pretty nice. For sure improves it in iron.
So this new coil loses depth?
Compared to the stock 11-inch round...yes.
@@thehuntergt why would someone want the new coils then?
@@theedgar1959 They separate trash better than larger coils...and better around bushes and tight spots.
I want to buy one!!!
Email me or your favorite dealer to get on the list!

Indeed!
it makes a "chicken" noise when hit the coin. I like that. is very accurent
