Just a heads up, Spain (not the islands) is going through a time of hostility towards tourist. It has to do with the cost of living, people buying up homes, and locals having a hard time buying property.
I have been visiting for over 20 years and finally moved about 5 years ago....found my tribe and loving it. Knowing cultural norms( for example, lack of personal space, staring just for the sake of it) and speaking the language are a huge benefit. One thing I always tell people...you are on vacation and we are living our day to day, so not everyday or every one is going to be sunshine and rainbows when you want them to be but I have no doubt you understand. Enjoy!!!
I had the worst experience in Madrid, Spain. I am dark skinned and people treated me differently than my lighter skinned friends I was traveling with. It should be expected since the Spanish enforced colorism throughout Latin America and the Caribbean.
Yep. I have light brown skin, and I speak Spanish. I dealt with so much racism in Madrid! It was ridiculous. But in Sevilla and Barcelona, I had no issues. No one treated me differently.
@@itsjasminegiselleYou’re soo nice! So even the TV show Elite they are VERY normalizing of gay teen's, literally explicit sex scenes of gay guys in the show yet this last season it was VERY obvious the treatment of black people. One of the characters speficially was an immigrant but the treatment due to his skin tone and remarks gave a clear image of mistreatment of black Spainards. A vlogger I watch had a bad experience at the airport in Spain and she said she has always hated visiting thier as an expat. I read peoples comments on that video and even black locals of Spain were saying its bad. One guy said a "black Spainard is treated worse than a white German guy"....which gives good perspective and insight. I love Spain, I’ve been there 3 times, once was completely alone, but I have realized that while watching shows from Spain that they deal with some race issues that seem very outdated to those of us from North America. I watched that season of Elite so I know what you mean. But Spain is a country that I feel very comfortable travelling to, like I don’t know if the people are the most warm in the world but I’m from Canada so my standards are different lol. And as for safety, I think as long as you watch your belongings that’s the main worry you would have, petty theft

I’m surprised that gay man said it’s difficult being gay in the UK, the Uk is not exactly Alabama 😂. Many cities celebrate gay pride and the rainbow flag is everywhere. Being homophobic in the UK is also a hate crime. Also there are well known gay districts in cities such as London, Manchester and Brighton. It could be argued that gay people are more protected than black people in the UK.
@@itsjasminegiselle no I’m not gay, but I find a lot gay people like to equate their struggles with that of black people. That’s why I said I’m surprised, cos a few weeks ago black and brown people where being targeted by racist mobs in the UK. That would NEVER happen to gay people in the UK!

Giiiirrrrlllll Amanda was cool but child we need a translator 😂😂😂
I’m surprised that gay man said it’s difficult being gay in the UK, the Uk is not exactly Alabama 😂. Many cities celebrate gay pride and the rainbow flag is everywhere. Being homophobic in the UK is also a hate crime. Also there are well known gay districts in cities such as London, Manchester and Brighton. It could be argued that gay people are more protected than black people in the UK.
Are you gay?
@@itsjasminegiselle no I’m not gay, but I find a lot gay people like to equate their struggles with that of black people. That’s why I said I’m surprised, cos a few weeks ago black and brown people where being targeted by racist mobs in the UK. That would NEVER happen to gay people in the UK!
Love your hair. Can you please do a tutorial?
Oh wow! 😮 You actually talked with the locals this time! 🎉 Google translate is still cringe but good 4 you. 😅
You need a translator that automatically translates what she is saying vice versa. The brand pocket talk is good.
I will definitely look into this!! Thank youuuu

Ooh sure will. I see it’s similar to a mall though. Is there a specific store inside?
@@itsjasminegisellehi 👋🏾 if you head to the cake and food department it’s in there it has walnuts on the top with creamed walnut dressing 😋 let us know in your next video what cakes you find in there …. ❤ enjoy 🎉loving your vlogs…. Will you be going to Siam water park ?
Please order some sort of instant translator device. They have ines that also DONT NEED WiFi. Then could you please do a video using it. 🙏🏻🌻❤️ Enjoy yourself

Be safe out there, baby girl. I know you're a free spirited person, but the weirdos are plentiful these days. Happy for the videos, though.
New to watching your content. 🤗 Curious to know why you sit at the front of a taxi. Is it for safety?
