This. Video. Is. THEE BEST!!! It may take longer but what the heck?! This is the most comphrehensive bow build guide ive seen, and i've watched a LOT of hours worth of bow builds.
Nice video again! I’m new and been looking around for a Blast/status bow build for Rampages. Or even pros and cons of using Teostra, Magnamalo. Thanks to anyone with thoughts or resources! Looking forward to more of your builds!
I would suggest you to watch Retrou's vid on Attack Boost vs CritB for Rise for you further build videos. Your last Rakna set will benefit more with AttkB rather than Cb because its raw is below 180. You can test it and see for yourself. Other than that good job.
nah, i can't get atk 4 on rakna setup using the same skills. so, you're suggesting atk 2 + 1 cb would be more dmg? nope. not against the dummy where only raw is the main factor since cb/atk dont effect element. using speedrun buffs, the cb3 no atk would deal more dmg, which yes, i have tested this and saw for myself. atk got 103 - 128 to the head. the cb3 got 108 - 134. it has less atk, TILL you use buffs and stuff like herculean draw, which should be factored in a speedrun scenario. without them, sure, the atk one might edge out for casual play. Not even peak performance 3 can beat out cb3, which got 107 - 130 with everything up. granted, non-crits it'll edge out, but rakna build gets 100% crit after cat buffs soo, it'll lose based off rng, and the cb3 isn't conditional like peak. i look at numbers i see, not by data or equations too much. NOW, cammy 45 hitzone is only the head, so, technically, YES, the peak/atk setups may in fact do more overall dmg since wex shouldn't proc against those non-45 parts(like its tail), nullifying the critboost outside of cat/nat crit. that would have been a better argument for your case. to which even then, the peak is just the best route, least in multiplayer against cammy/almudron, but have to run at least 1 heal cat solo as healing with potions will be dps loss.
@@PWARGaming I was not expecting a reply let alone a detailed and thorough one therefore much appreciate you taking the time to respond. I was just pointing out that breakpoints do exist depending on true raw when it comes to attck7 vs cb3 setups and vice versa. I am quite certain you also are a fan of negokami and his runs, the guys batshit crazy with the weapon and from his setup against chammy you can see he ops for peak3 and attk2 instead of wex 3 and cb3 . I was only stating that with the rakna bow building for attack benefits more than cb. I suggested the vid because it didn't reach a wide audience, and I found the information shared valuable and thought it may have flew below your radar, and for someone that takes the time to do all the calcs for his build videos it would be helpful.
I like the tigrex bow for general purpose because it doesn't need bcp and has exhaust/para/sleep which is great for party hunt. Not the fastest but the damage isn't terrible as long as you have a cat with the crit buff and use the support arrow.
I was doing some tests on the training dummy with this build. Having all fire attack decos with might seed, demon powder, and power coating on, I can do 124 damage on my shots. Removing all 5 fire decos drops my damage to 122. Only 2 damage difference. Removing 2 fire decos drops my damage to 123. A 1 damage difference. At that point, wouldn’t stam thief 3 with reload speed 2 be better than fire attack because of the negligible damage boost fire decos give?
Am i just too stupid or is there still a water3 role on the bow and lightning as stats (2:45)? I never used rampage weapons and i might be totally wrong, thats why im asking ^^ Edit: nvm i guess its just me beeing to stupid. If i got it right you swap element depending on the fight
Do you also have a showcase for the sets where you don't need the God-Talisman? Like what do You need at least, or am I missing it? Because I'm not willing to spend an unfathomable amount of time resetting for that thing
I melded a Con 3, Stamina Drain 1, 3-2-0 talisman the other day. rolling that felt like a mandatory obligation from the gods to pick up bow. I haven't played bow since mh3u and Im having a hard time keeping my aim on weak spots between dodging.
Best I have is a bubbly dance+2 normal up +2 which means I can get to wex-3, elemnt +3, con/surge +2 crisis+3 is that good for rapid rampage for now or do I use my con+3 1 lvl1 charm?
By any chance, do you guys know if the Scoomer Method still works or it's been updated to the point that it no longer exists? I would try it but I already filled my slots up by accident.
good point. either or i would say. the para would proc faster but usually still once a fight, and the heavy strike will contribute to faster ko and possibly 2-3 kos a fight alongside your A.powershot.

I'd really like to get into bow more but I find it annyoing that all the good builds so heavily rely on Elements. If there was a 'one fits all' kind of thing I'd probably play the weapon a lot more than I do now. EDIT: Is the Chameleos Bow only viable for rampages or does it work at least decent for the Rest as well?
Hi there! The way bows work (like dual blades) means that you won't get the most damage out of them unless you build for element and use the right bow for the right kind of monster. Raw just doesn't compare in terms of damage. But there's one exception to this rule - Chammy's Raw Spread bow! From what I've read and studied, it manages to exceed Elemental spread in terms of damage. But Rapid and Pierce? No such luck. Bow is incredibly match-up dependent, so you do have to understand the monster, its hitzones, and which type of bow works best for it. But even if you do play with the Spread bow, you aren't seeing the 2 other types of bows, which will limit what you can do with the weapon. In fact, Spread is likely the weakest option of the 3 bow types at the time I write this. My recommendation? Give the Chammy bow a try with the understanding you're only seeing a small portion of what the bow has to offer. If you like what you see, keep going. Maybe you'll become obsessed like me and eventually have the full collection of Rampage Rapid and Pierce bows. Good luck!
@@its1027 thanks for the detailed answer man! I had tried to build a rampage bow around raw but wasn't getting any satisfying results with it. I'm going to try out the Chammy bow and see how that one holds up. Though it will probably never be my main weapon, the bow looks so fun to play in the hands of people who use it well and I wanted to get at least somewhat decent with it. Thanks again and happy hunting :)
