Waiting for the bow tutorial before I pick it up again, as soon as I heard about the piercing versus spread shot types I got confused, I enjoyed bow in world but am not sure how different or similar they are
Spread is basically power shot from world, less range but there are more arrows. Pierce makes the arrow ... Pierce through the target and will hit them multiple times, meaning it's really good against big/long targets but terrible against smaller ones. Rapid is more consistent damage on a focused area Playstyle is pretty similar you do charging sidesteps shots but instead this time you can do two power shots instead of one
The 2nd power shot has a way longer windup/down animation so its usually more effective to get to the highest charge level and do a single powershot -> sidestep to keep the charge level and repeat the loop.
All this of elemental and power bows and am sat here thinking the Chaotic Rapture of the Chaos tree is the bee’s knees of bows as it can use ever phial and even has poison + and para +, with 180 raw, 0% affinity, and 2 lvl 1 slots, I just prefer being able to punish a monster with status i guess haha
im not sure why raw power is so popular... ive been playing for 10 years and i always go for elemental weakness if i can otherwise i go for raw. i never really looked into the meta so maybe thats why lol
You notice though that they are all rarity 6 not lower end. Not a great selection if you are trying to rank up and figuring out which bow to use or build. That would be a useful guide. Some suggestions on that would be good.
3:25 Needs to be mentioned but brutal strike is NOT worth it at all, it has a 20-25% chance of triggering on negative affinity hits couple that with only 20% negative affinity and you get the chance of it triggering to be 5% at most ,which is ridiculously low. (granted it does bring the hit to 150% of it's normal power)
Honestly a CRIME you didnt mention the Bishaten bow. I know its not the best one numbers wise, but it looks so good and that affinity arc can really come in clutch for team play
how about the sinister blow? it has high raw, high blast, has power coating and close+ coating, has lvl2 and lvl1 slot, attack3 ramp up skill, and IT LOOKS GOOD!
I tend to really like the recovery bows since they let me throw out a bit of support for my friends in between attacks. Kinda sad that none of the recovery arc shot bows made the list
@ArekkkzGaming I'm not sure I understand why the Prominence II Bow over Weaver of Flame II. Given that both have Power coating and WoF has higher potential Fire. I know the raw for WoF even with affinity is lower but could you tell me why Prominence still?
I just ended up using the rapid rampage bow for fire, water and dragon, kadachi for electric and heavens glaze for ice. Spread requires me to be a bit too close for my liking and pierce is too situational
I've been carrying bishaten bow since I could get it. Haven't unlocked High Rank but in Low rank finishing up the village quests it has been a monster, para+ and poison+, with power has been very easy to use and pierce destroys most monsters. @@Polopollo75 Oh, I see. Yeah, sadly, there is no reset option for that, that I know of. I don't know if it helps to address or offset your troubles, but in the Gyroscope settings, if you scroll down a bit, there is a setting to separately turn on/off gyro for hunting installations (such as ballistae) as well as their sensitivity. Perhaps turning up the horizontal sensitivity will make it easier to aim with small movements so you won't need to turn your controller so far. Or alternatively you could turn off gyro aim for installations and rely only on stick-aiming for those, while retaining motion for Bows/Bowguns?
Otherwise, I'm afraid I'm out of ideas.
Atm with airal aim and rampage bow I am doing 130 with rapid 5 per arrow in training area. Love this iteration of bow.
Do keep in mind that the training puppet has really high percentage hitzones so youll never reach these numbers in a real fight where the highest hitzones are about 60%. But yeah nevertheless the rampage bow is really good especially for water and dragon element where we dont have a solid rapid option.
@@kevinkraus7999 in the text I said that. Plus atm true the dragon raw on the rampage bow is a bit to low to be the go to dragon bow. Why I wounder what we will have in dlc. My bow outside of training still hits 70-80 damage per arrow and that's with airal aim skill.
All the bows in the bnahabra trees, they all have the recovery arc shot.
Bow was my favorite weapon in 3U and GU, but it's too changed in Rise for my liking and I hate that.
the change is good tho
Curious, why the Tobi bow over the Zinogre for Thunder?
No mention of Water, Blast or Dragon Bows?
I know the video title is the top 5 bows, but I figured there would be honorable mentions of the other element types 🥺
Cool, but if you want to show off the cool design you should have had a scene where you just hold the weapon and show of the design
Waiting for the bow tutorial before I pick it up again, as soon as I heard about the piercing versus spread shot types I got confused, I enjoyed bow in world but am not sure how different or similar they are
Lmao I agree!
Spread is basically power shot from world, less range but there are more arrows. Pierce makes the arrow ... Pierce through the target and will hit them multiple times, meaning it's really good against big/long targets but terrible against smaller ones. Rapid is more consistent damage on a focused area
Playstyle is pretty similar you do charging sidesteps shots but instead this time you can do two power shots instead of one
@@Senayoshy that clears up allot! Thank you!
Looking forward to a bow guide Also. Thanks for the video.
im not sure why raw power is so popular... ive been playing for 10 years and i always go for elemental weakness if i can otherwise i go for raw. i never really looked into the meta so maybe thats why lol
Im trying to go for the heralds battlebow, is that bow any good? I'm now looking at the anja bow in comparison which one Is better damage wise?
Hey love your videos! Can we please get a hammer build set. Top 3 hammers!? Love ya
Top 5 bow skins to layer onto your rampage bows
What the best low rank rapid? Current Im on 5 stars Village quest
You notice though that they are all rarity 6 not lower end. Not a great selection if you are trying to rank up and figuring out which bow to use or build. That would be a useful guide. Some suggestions on that would be good.
Currently I like Rajangs bow - decent lightning damage + piercing. Magnamalo is not happy :)

Needs to be mentioned but brutal strike is NOT worth it at all, it has a 20-25% chance of triggering on negative affinity hits couple that with only 20% negative affinity and you get the chance of it triggering to be 5% at most ,which is ridiculously low. (granted it does bring the hit to 150% of it's normal power)
Honestly a CRIME you didnt mention the Bishaten bow. I know its not the best one numbers wise, but it looks so good and that affinity arc can really come in clutch for team play
Now that they upgraded rampage bow in 2.0. There is no more question which ones are best. I can't stomach any more rampage tho T.T
How’s the Magnamalo bow?
Heralds battle bow is pretty cool
Which skills should I focus on for those Bows that aren’t elemental? Critical Boost? Attack Boost?
how about the sinister blow? it has high raw, high blast, has power coating and close+ coating, has lvl2 and lvl1 slot, attack3 ramp up skill, and IT LOOKS GOOD!
I'm surprised that the arachnid silverstring isn't in this simply for it's consistency. reliability put everything in your path to sleep in 4 hits
I just got comfortable with now again I need this 🥰
im gonna cast my vote on the arachnid silverstring bow
How do you get that 4th charge slot??
I tend to really like the recovery bows since they let me throw out a bit of support for my friends in between attacks. Kinda sad that none of the recovery arc shot bows made the list
Use the Rampage Bow and put recovery as the arc shot. The Rampage bows are fully customizable because they have multiple Rampage Skill slots.
I don't even use bows I just like your videos haha
Are bows viable weapon for killing new enemies comapred to lets say long swords (time needed to kill mostly - is it similiar) ?
well would you look at that. arekkz already doing some content on "the pea shooter". i knew it wouldnt be too long before you came around lol.
Please make armor set builds!
I like the rampage bow, but I also like the Bishatin bow.
I've been carrying bishaten bow since I could get it. Haven't unlocked High Rank but in Low rank finishing up the village quests it has been a monster, para+ and poison+, with power has been very easy to use and pierce destroys most monsters. Only bad thing is the first 2 charge levels not being pierce screw you a bit on the optimal range. That's why I've been eyeing the Nargacuga bow
thanks for the video
Didn’t even mention the Kelbi Slingshot. For shame. :P lol
I like they get ride of blast coating for Kelbi Bow nice easter egg from the Dev XD
What about sinister soulpiercer 👌🏻
Mango Bow, maybe? It is a beast and has good blast, making it a good general purpose bow. It deserved a mention for sure 🤷🏾♂️
