    The ability to throw barrel bombs down from the air is super useful for applying blights in Rampage. All of those fire/thunder/water barrel bombs that drop don't have to be placed by a gate before the wave starts. You can hold onto them and when you see a lot of monsters clumped together, just wirebug over them and spike the barrel bomb down onto them and you can apply waterblight, thunderblight, or fireblight to every monster you catch in the explosion.

      A better way is Just putting your first aid med+ in the radial wheel. As long as you don't have any in your inventory but have the crafting materials for it, it will auto craft and consume the item. It is useful if you only want first aid med+ crafted only when you want use them. That way you don't have leftovers after a hunt. Also works with other items as well.

    Tip for farming materials: Hitting a monster with another monsters attack when wyvern riding forces it to drop up to three items. If there's a fight between monsters and the one that loses that fight wasn't the one you want to ride, you can launch it into your target monster the same way you can launch it into walls, which will make the target monster rideable and dismount you from the monster you're currently sitting on.

    A Rampage specific tip from me is use Blast weapons in Rampages. Everytime any monster is afflicted with a status condition you get 50 points which levels you up a lot faster and almost guarantees maximum rewards from Rampages so it's highly recommended you create a Teostra Dual Blades set just for Rampages because Dual Blades apply Blast the most often and Teostra Soul gives you a slightly better Blast proc chance. This will ensure you're leveling up the absolute fastest you can which not only makes your Rampages faster and even easier but you're rewards are tied to your level at the end of the Rampage which can still let you get full rewards even if you miss a quest like say the RNG dependent Villager repel quest. Makes Rampages far more tolerable since you have to do less of them overall.

      The fast consumption is the best part because you use it with Wide Range builds and you no longer need to bring Speed Eating. One of my friends heard me talking with my fiance about Rise and decided he'd buy it. I was worried he would hate it and have wasted his money so I've been playing a bit more support to save him from endless carting. I'm not babysitting him with healing, but needless to say Rathian was his first wall. Good tips! Gotta' note also that gathering from a zinogre, especially an apex, is a bigger deal than just some bugs (which are already good for filling in zinogre point values for equipment or selling for stacks of zenny), too; you can also get shockfur/electrofur and apex shockshells from them.
    Also, fireblight from the red vents is nice, but I like waterblight from the blue ones more. Waterblight increases the HZVs (hitzone values) of all parts, which means greater damage, but also means that Weakness Exploit can trigger where it otherwise wouldn't, thus a lot more damage and, thanks to Master's Touch, a lot less sharpness loss. It's a great time to break otherwise resilient parts, like bazel or apex rathalos wings, basarios tails, and more.
    Mushrooms are really efficient for Motley Mix because you get a fairly high yield of the item that you were going to combine them into, herbal medicine, and more dango tickets than you can spend! Using points on raw meat is fine and all, but gathering shrooms is certainly already on the to-do list, and it basically ensures that you never have to pay for a meal and suffer low skill activation chances.

    For killed monsters, at the 10-second countdown, go to the map screen and ready to fast travel to your base, then try to listen to the "Shamizen" (the Japanese guitar-like instrument) in the victory music. As you hear the first tone, proceed to fast travel. For number 9, I've found out another Wirebug technique that I've seen almost no-one use, although it might be a little situational.
    If you're out of Wirebugs and still want to climb up a wall from the ground, you don't have to wait for a recharge! All you have to do is do a wire fall maneuver like you would do *with* wirebugs, and do that right against a wall. While you won't jump very high, you will still latch on to the wall and climb up as if you had used a wirebug!

    • @SodaNaranja

    • @equinox-XVI
      @equinox-XVI 2 года назад +3

      In my experience, I found that every way to climb a wall in rise is:
      - Any wirebug move into a wall, including wirefall from the ground
      - The "no wirebugs" animation (like you said)
      - Jumping off a palamute into a wall will result in a wall climb (like the first reply said)
      But what's more interesting to me is the ways in which you can *avoid* climbing a wall:
      - Jumps from ledges will not climb walls
      - Midair dodging will also never climb walls. This also applies to dodging out of a midair stop.
      Keeping track of when the hunter will and will not climb walls has allowed me to have a lot more control that I would otherwise in way more scenarios than usual.

    To add on to the different Wiredash options, the best Wiredash is ZL, A by far.
    It travels directly forward at the highest speed, in relation to _the angle of the hunter's footing._ stand on a tree trunk or the top of a cliff and use the Lateral Wiredash, you'll be ZOOMING.

    • @KARLOSPCgame
      @KARLOSPCgame 2 года назад +1

      To add to this, the wiredash you can do in the air is the longer distance version you do when you do Wiredash A on the ground
      So if you are near a ledge is better to jump then A then Airdash then Wiredash upward

    • @equinox-XVI
      @equinox-XVI 2 года назад

      I remember there is a specific spot in Flooded Forest that I love to abuse this. It's a tree near a ledge and when you horizontal wiredash off it's base, it send you flying with tons of air space to keep the momentum.

    For the "quest-ending" animation thing tgat is faster while in the air: you can actually teleport to base camp right before tge timer runs out and it at least feels like it is even faster as it basically doesn't even finish drawing "Quest Competed"-Stamp. But even if its not faster I recommend trying just because ot Looks funny.

    One thing I haven’t found anyone say in guides but I found out for myself - while riding a monster, heavy attacks will often be part of a two or three heavy attack chain if you keep attacking and don’t dodge cancel out of it. That way if you manage to catch the other monster off guard, you can deal a lot of damage quickly, including during the window for the finisher.

    For tip 10 you can also put your argosy to farm Popfishes so you transform them into Gourmet Fish, which heals all of the red gauge and keeps healing even more for a minute or so.
    From this you get one of the best healing items on the game and also Dango Tickets.

    Funny story about the rampage skill transfer.
    I noticed that for the insect glaive, there was a weapon tree that resulted in a lot of glaives with kinsect level 8. Leading into that tree was a glaive with the kinsect level boost skill. I thought that if I got that skill and then upgraded it all the way down the tree, I would unlock some secret level 9 kinsect.
    Sadly, that did not happen. It gets capped at level 8 and cant be increased any further.
    On the bright side, there was one glaive in the tree that ended at kinsect level 7, so it was useful for that one. But for the rest, it just became a wasted rampage skill.

    Also, if you use the second one while standing on a slanted area, try doing it while going uphill (like a tiny rock in Lava Caverns for example) - you would go _much_ farther than the other two wiredashes

It also seems to work with standing on destroyable structures, like the buildings in area 9 of the Shrine Ruins and the pillars in the arena.
