We live in a senior apt. And our windows face a very busy street sirens 24/7. We have no t.v. And my peace is a cup of coffee early 5:30 a.m. I am so thankful for an hour to myself. Ray gets up at 8 a.m. And I do a some reading etc. love your videos 🦋
When there is no sun and there's rain coming down on my vehicle.I'll lock my door and just listen to the beautiful sound of rain Falling on my roof of my car. It's so calming. It can put you to sleep if you're very stressed out.Even just listening to the beautiful sound of rain on your rooftop.
All excellent suggestions Joshua, when smelling the roses, I find deadheading them and all flowers past their best to be very relaxing. Gardening has so many benefits and did you know that immersing your hands in the soil, is a natural stress reliever and anti depressant? Being exposed to microbes in the soil can also build up immunity, We may think that we are nurturing the garden, but infact, it’s the garden that is nurturing us, mind body and soul, Best wishes, Lisa
Just having a roof over my head and a bed to sleep in and food in my Refrigerator makes me feel grateful. Because when I look around the world and I see what's going on.How many people who are losing their homes? How many people have no place to lay their head? How many people are struggling to bring food on their table for their Family. That alone is enough for me to stop and reflect. And thank god but for what I have and for what I can give others. Today, I saw a homeless young man and he was way down with bunch of bottles. And and he was exhausted and he was tired and he was dirty. I just felt sorry for him.And he fell off his bike as he was walking it and I couldn't help but go over and help him up.And even though his hands were filthy I. Knew I could wash my hands.I knew I could use hand sanitizer I asked him if he was okay. He says I'm okay. I'm just tired and I asked him what happened. And he told me that he had this brand new phone stolenand I listen to his story and I didn't have much to give but I went into a Subway. Sandwich restaurant and I got him something that was enough to take the hunger away. I had some spare bus passes that were given to me and I directed him to a phone number. That would help him find a place to rent. He just lost his grandmother and he started opening up to me and I wasn't there to judge him.I was just there to help him. And they wouldn't let him go inside and use to wash him but I convinced them if he could only wash his hands so he could eatand they agreed with that. I only could spend half an hour.I thought at least show him some compassion and do what you can to get him some sort of help and direct them to the proper authorities. He was very grateful just for that. So his gratitude was totally different than my gratitude or your gratitude. He fell asleep on the table. And I was afraid that they were gonna kick him out of the sandwich restaurant. But I had no control over that. They could see how I was treating him and they could see that he was no danger and that he was very polite to everybody and thankful. So I left and had to go do my stuff and I drove by a half an hour later and he was still sitting in there and they didn't kick him out. That was something that made me grateful.Because I was able do what jesus tells what to do to love your neighbor.
I love just lying down on my bed with my cat purring beside me and staring out at the sky through the velux. I feel so much gratitude for the peace and quiet 💖😺
Love these ideas! I practice quite a few of them already. When my girls were little and I felt like we needed a couple minutes of peace, I would have them sit quietly next to me on the couch and we would listen to the sounds of the house. 😊
Bravo ! My own no. 21: Have a cry-day. As a complement to a gratitude moment or diary, I set aside pockets of moment where I let myself get awash with grief. I then offer all the grief to my Creator and pray for discernment, courage, and acceptance. I find these moments very rejuvenating afterwards and, curiously, helps develop and maintain Empathy. Try a cry-day 😊
Amazing because when you're grounded, your blood gets immediately thinner, and your blood pressure falls. Then the sun is what your skin's cholesterol uses to make vitamin D. This is excellent for your body. 😊
Yes, you are totally right.Stretching is so good for you. Limber you up so that you do not do damage to cold muscles It helps get rid of toxins and audi your muscles. Yes, reading is so good.Even if it's only for five or ten minutes it gets your mind off of what was bothering you and sort of gets you back to where you should be just that little bit helps. Yes isn't that nice to look at your family pictures and bring back happy moments.
Thank you for all the wholesome recommendations to take time and enjoy life, Mr. Becker! God is soo merciful and we have soo many blessings to count daily! 🕊️✨
Thank you, Josh! I am on my way to build again some strong habits using small steps, your input is very helpful also cleanliness and simplicity of your message is so powerful!
A walk: I do this every day, twice. I don't use a phone or earphones. I use the time to "meditate" as well as possible with traffic or other noise thinking about my day, my relationships and nature, birds etc. I try to get 10,000 steps a day, but if I don't -no worries.
These are wonderful ideas, Joshua, and nearly all of them I practise already. But unfortunately only in my free time. On my average workday I forget about all of this because of the work. It is not good and I'm totally stressed out most every day. Now I will place a note on my desk to think about that and just call it "Remind Joshua" 😃 Thank you so much for reminding👍 and greetings from Germany 😊
A friend of mine is just translating an ancient script from Tibetan into Dutch. It is about so and so many (I have forgotten the exact number) ways to meditate. One way is to just look into the sky for a while.
There may be 20 ways to find a moment of peace, but there’s only one way to find a lifetime of peace Jesus is the way the truth and the life!! he is the prince of peace! Amen!
It’s a very good List to live by,making the time is the problem for a lot of people. But it’s a necessity in life so Stress won’t build up in our daily lives. Stop making your life sooo busy and Smell the Roses .🌹🙏🏻🙂
Agree with most.. except "car".. I do the OPPOSITE.. i use music to "cover up" the car motor etc noise, the traffic noise, the city noise etc so I don't get agitated and stressed.
I think it's important to play some Really nice.Easy music while you're traveling as long as it's not too loud to drown out the terrible honking and traffic and road rage
Did you know that a lot of flower fragrances have now disappeared, especially those in a garden centre....it makes me feel so sad when I've stopped to sniff a rose whilst I'm walking out, and no fragrance....so sad😢 .....
Ha ha. Omg. No kidding. The world is getting soooo loud. At least I haven’t moved and quite decided yet. But I def think going “semi rural” is a pretty good idea. A sweet spot between the annoying burbs vs too far out in the boonies. Lol. I wound up doing the “taking time in the car” on my own Bcuz once I’m in the door it’s cat mom time and the house begging to be cleaned etc…and here we go. Bcuz it was always hurry and get ready for work. Be at work. Run the errands. Then go home and deal with “the fur kids” and all their messes. (And food harassment as I call it lol). So something had to give. That was my “decompress” time.
There is if you seek it. Look around for the good and be the good. It will come back to you. I believe there is still much good and beauty in our world❤

If I feel myself getting anxious after spending too much time on social media or watching the news, I read Psalm 37. It’s like a breath of fresh air!

Needed this.

I think for getting a peace thinking of previous success and enjoyable memory is one of them.
I love to drive with no music. It gives me time to think or just relax.
I do some of these but need to do them more often. You're a blessing, Joshua.

Joshua, your video is the last one I watch today, one that calms me down.
I discarded my TV over a year ago 😊
You discarded the hell a vision. I did that for 7 years now.

Set a 5 min timer & take a nap. ❤
I'd like to take a moment even just 45 minutes and remind myself how little I am in comparison to the universe.
Be still, and know that "I am god."
How can you do this if you’re married to a “stress-a-phonic,” someone who wants the stress, and needs it?
Sit quietly & pet your cat. ❤
