The hardest part about life weaver is gonna be your teammates knowing the tempo with a LW in the team and how their play style needs to be to maximize his effectiveness because otherwise you’ll just have a very useless support. So to all the LW players out there in comp, it’s ok to swap if you see your team not know how to play with a LW!
People are sleeping on this character a lot. To me this is a high skilled character were you get the best of out of it according to your experience and knowledge of the game. I just had to purchase the BP due to him, coming from Dota 2 and Apex his skills and mindset are totally different from any other support we have in Overwatch 2. Thanks for the video, it really helped me.
The problem with LW is that even if you play out of your mind with him, chances are you would have gotten the same amount or even more value with another character with much less effort. I honestly don't see why picking LW over Bap would ever be a good idea. Lamp can save multiple characters, including you, bap can heal multiple targets at once and faster. LW has the platform but it's not that useful most of the time. To top it all off, Bap can deal tons of damage. In my Opinion, LW should do more damage/have less spread on his weapon. He has to be played from a distance so he can pull his teammates into safety, but at that range his weapon deals close to 0 damage. All supports can deal damage from far away except for Moira who has excellent escape abilities and brig who is tanky, which allows them to be closer to the enemy. LW's abilities end up relying too much on communication and team coordination to get good value, whereas for other heroes you can get good value just by playing well. Maybe there's an argument to be made for LW when playing with a stacked team.
6 months later. !00% high skill cap hero. People will laugh anytime you tell them that, but those are the same toxic players who are hard stuck and think Junk Rat requires skill. lol
A fun character combo is Lifeweaver with Symmetra. When you use a Tree Of Life, Sym can attach her turrets to the upper regions of the tree. The lighting and particle effects of the tree are very distracting and it’s hard for the enemy to figure out where the turrets are.
Mostly I use life girp to either pull people to protect them , pull people to higher places to heal them quickly or pull someone where I need them (E.g) pulling the rhein onto the point during overtime before I die(which he then leaves causing us to lose .
I play him very carefully because there are times when you pull people at the inappropriate time. I think they should give healing to his pull and maybe damage buff when on the platform. His abilities are too situational to justify
As someone who only has 2 hours of gameplay, one month of experience on OW, and barely watching this video winning pretty much 95% games solo queue -- I can atone that he's good where's he's at. I would love to see buffs if possible, but I get 10k heals minimum and more than Mercy ngl
What a beautiful character. I wonder if he’s seen as low carry potential partially because he’s so utility based. The metal brackets are full of players who obsess over the scoreboard and don’t pay attention to space control and utility so it’s probably hard to synergize with them. I also wonder if the general player base is playing him too focused on straight heal and poking and don’t realize that the key utility plays are more important in bringing home the win.
his healing is about 65 hps when charging to full, not including reloading, it it takes 0.5 seconds to reach 32.5 would it not be exactly the same hps regardless of charge?
i hope they re-work his heals and ult. i have 10 hours played on him, im an ana main and i went from plat 2 to gold 5 ever since i started playing him. he has a potential of being good if they re-work or buff him. but sadly he does lack compared to other supports. hell, brig is better than him and that pains to admit lol
I feel like there's some sort of weird algorithm with LW and ranked. I was Diamond before Lifeweaver came out. I primarily played Moira, Ana, or Kiriko. I climbed out of Gold to get up to Diamond 4. Lifeweaver comes out and immediately just felt his kit. I consistently have 18k+ heals and almost the highest healing in the game by a large margin. I make insane pulls/lifts to save from ults and deaths. Over the course of month, I have dropped one or two ranks every set of wins and dropped to Gold 5 before I decided to go back to maining the ones before and instantly jumped up several ranks. I don't understand the ranking in this game and what it decides is a great game.
Hrs really good at getting the most out of characters like Doom, Queen Hog Genji weaker characters that can use the pull as part if their kit. If you don't have dive characters he's not as good and it's hard to use him on control maps I find most success with him on payload and push. He's a fun character.
He actually has an underated tool that very few players utilize to its fullest potential where if you're in a spawn room you can just swap to a better hero 😮
I don't really like Weaver. In high elo you can amplify the positioning game of your team a lot and influence the dynamic of a fight. But in low elo where nobody really knows what anybody is up to, and people run down the same path all day long it's really frustrating to play him. He doesn't have the engage potential of other supports.
I'm confused how is his dps n heals bad , if you play him like PC bap then sure but if I don't use DPS I get 25k to 30k heals a game avg , my highest was 38k . Most of the time the issue is DPS , I'll go a 30k heal game and DPS will be at 2k each ,maybe 13n7 if I'm lucky in diamond one . Also anyone else dealing with really bad throwers here recently like doom or ball v Ram or genji n Hanzo vs literally any character with a gun .
He's a very difficult healer. Tbh, i hate how he is so defenceless...... like...... how to support dps who go out of sight. Honest, it all depend on the team. If team play is good with good teamwork and timing, sure. Otherwise this lifeweaver is damn useless. He can't even defend himself.
Low heal / slow heal high dmg if you are able to hit which is almost imposible projectiles are so slow , size of tank . Hero is awful . No potential to carry , like for example zen . Lifeweaver was made to quick just to add new support hero in my opinion . Also for me he gives the worst feeling playing him ..( Main supp high GM )

No
I paid $10 but I’ll let my ego die and switch for the win lol
My go to switch is usually my old main Kiri, of Lucio.
That really shouldn’t be how the character works..
@@EchoRUclips it’s how Ana works, if your team is just going around corners and dying because they aren’t in los, as Ana you have to switch

I had 24k healing/7k dmg as a lw on my last, quite dynamic match and inmust say - playing him stressfull but also so much fun!

Ive been putting the platform under trapped teammates to save them. Always gets a thank you

The Sigma Ult Counter is a huge tip ty
Thank you for the tips! Went from bronze to gold with your help. Soon i'll limb higher
This was great info!
Saw some good Ground Dashes that helped a lot. Original settings seem to have a slight advantage with that tbh
You can also block the dmg from junkrat and dva ultimate if you time the life grip correctly
Hello what is your lifeweaver cross hair settings?

I knew LW was going to be so op after using him for 1 day. I now main him and continue to get better everyday. Great video btw

does lifeweavers volley reload when you heal??? for me it reloads when you throw out 2 petals
Yea

Thx for the tips
Your a tough broo sheesh amazing gameplay
It’s also easy to pull people off point at the end I had that happened to me and we lost.
As a LW player, just know that about 25% of pulls you rage at are actually good (atleast in my experience)
Why release tips when he's getting changed around and getting some nice buffs and reworks? No hate, just wondering 🙂
Most, if not all of these tips are still applicable.
The only tip that still can’t be applied is the damage reload one, everything else still applies
He's using video with the changes - he's just using the original settings.
He actually has an underated tool that very few players utilize to its fullest potential where if you're in a spawn room you can just swap to a better hero 😮

You prolly main Moira
@@magicschoolbus4450 i mained Lucio in top 500 / GM
But I no longer play the game

Let me get this straight he said he has about 20+ hours on lifeweaver and he said in both overwatch 1 and 2 how is that possible

Does charging heal or holding onto full charged heal slow down LW's walking speed?
Holding onto a full charge slows him down, but he moves normally while it charges

Wtf you were talking about Life Weaver for nearly nine minutes and didn’t ONCE mention his chest!! 😡😡
~~but nice video dude ❤
One month later we are eagerly awaiting the rework of LW and “Blizzard” has effectively killed OW2 interest outside of us diehards… Sadge.

The only lifeweaver player I will not think is throwing is #PazShagger
Step 1: press H
