1. Its better to have one good friend then a ten of average ones. 2. Choose friends very wise, because they build influence on you and change you in a way you don't realize. 3. If you want success but don't know how to get there. Find person who done this and follow his footsteps, and don't be afraid to ask for help and guidance, they once were just like you. 4. You do not fail if you messed up, you fail when you stop trying. 5. Failure is a stepping stone for success. 6. If you get a no, that's fine. Shake it off and move one because that no made you one step closed to the yes that you seek. 7. Read self help books, they will enrich you in a ways you never thought possible. 8. Surround your self with people you want to be like in next 5-10 years. 9. If you change your mind the way you think, you will change the course of your life. It's imminent. 10. If you are not going to plan your life, someone is gonna plan it for you.
@keithyoutube Not having time is the worst kind of complain ever. How does one have so much wealth and the other does not. Everyone have 24 hours in a day its what you do with these hours that count. For sure you can't just work 24/7 you're human, you need sleep you need eat you need to be entertained otherwise you loose your mind. If you have time to watch RUclips, you have time. It's the priorities my friend. If I don't have time but want to accomplish anything you set it up for priority right? Because you care about it and you need it, its important. You look at your day and see where you waist time so you find time, and find money and find people to make it happen. Its a choice, do you gonna watch sport this evening or you're going to do something. So many people try to escape hard reality by drinking, drugs or making them self uselessly busy like watching tv because they for one, don't believe in them self that they can do it in a first place or they just make them self occupied to make up some complain to don't do it. Mostly fear of failure plays part in this. In this case you need to work on yourself, read self help books. Read books recommended by entrepreneurs, hopefully you'll have enough brain to do it and if you wont find time for that you done for it. You are prisoner of your own mind, no one can help if you don't want it. Anyway i could go on and on, I shaped my mind like a this and its gradually changed my life so i know this. Sorry for a long text lol

The first part of your sentence sounds nice,, just what everyone like to hear, especially insecure people with lots of flaws. The truth is that everyone is NOT okay the way they are and they need to change or improve themselves. To tell idiots that they are okay the way they are will not make them or anyone else any favors. Very true, my sister works at a place where she gets a lot of judgment not just from her bosses, but from her co workers all because she has tattoos even though she keeps them hidden which says a lot right there about appearance, and she's a hard worker. Pretty much, unless you're working at Hot Topic, Guitar Center, or any place like that, no one would want to hire someone with tattoos unless they are very well hidden..
They are not talking about people being treated better due to favoritism, they are talking about holding someone to a different standard because he/she have issues in his/her life...Your boss doesn't care what happens outside of work...He/she expects you to be on time and able to do what is required of you while you are at work...It doesn't mean some people are not liked more, treated better, etc...
One time I was doing a project for one of the VP's and was waiting to see him to get his opinion between two different drafts I had made. While I was waiting, the CEO wandered by and asked what I was up to. I showed him the drafts and made mention of making two because the VP was rather vague on his parameters. When I did see the VP I told him nothing about this so I always wondered how the meeting went when he showed the CEO what "he" had created.
@@permanentmakeuplosangeles That goes two ways. Meaning if upper management also recognizes your talent and tries to promote you out of your bosses domain you boss could and probably will sabotage that promotion to keep you right there feeding them ideas. False how? So everyone could be a professional basketball player? Everyone could be a nuclear physicist? I know plenty of people who would love to be either of those, but they were born with physical or mental limitations that make it impossible.
Anti- Matter no it’s actually impossible for that to be the case with everyone on earth-think about it if someone is always better for everyone on earth than someone must be at the top of that category and you may be at the top of something
This is golden advice. Awesome video. I would add: “Be friendly to everyone, but know that not everyone is your friend.” Honoring boundaries helps a lot.
Another harsh truth: "Nobody really cares about your opinion, especially if it doesn't align with their own." Humans can be fickle creatures, and many of the beliefs held by people are based on either faith (religion) or blind trust (politics) an opinion is simply a thought and doesn't really require a belief or fact to make it real in a person's mind. Your thoughts are important to you, but if someone else doesn't believe it then it's simply a difference of opinion. Many people bounce ideas off others expecting positive/constructive feedback. Unfortunately, most of the feedback given (especially with social media) is either nonconstructive or negative, but most of what they say is also a "thought" or an "opinion" so those don't matter in the long run.

Indeed. I work in I.T. and I can tell you that 90% of what I learned in tech school (not college) is now useless after only about 5 years. Sadly, it's the same story (if not worse) for college students going into this industry. They'll spend 4 or more years studying for a degree that's outdated, if not completely worthless, before they even graduate. I.T. moves so fast, you have to study like you're in college all the time just to stay relevant. I thought I would like the challenge (before I got into this industry I had a job that barely taxed my brain power and was therefore low paying), but it turns out it's just frustrating.
if you attend a decent one youll at least learn the basics. and aside from that the environment is a lot like the society outside of school, so its kinda like practice before going out into the real world
As a long time workhorse of anywhere I've ever worked, I've learned a couple things. 1) If it'll take less than 5 min extra of your time, just do it and don't really ask for anything. It'll help your boss think favorably of you if you want to climb the ladder. 2) Say no sometimes - even if you don't mind too much. This way they bargain a bit with you. When they know that your time outside of work is important to you, they will make working extra worthwhile. 3) See what perks you can get instead for extra work - THIS IS IMPORTANT. When I was in high school/college I worked Fast Food (I was full time for most of the job). I would work an extra hour or two (paid of course) to help them finish a To-Do list. I would cover shifts for my coworkers - even the 4am shifts. In exchange, I could wear headphones when I was staying late (or very early) to do something, they would frequently buy my lunch, I also got priority for time-off requests. 4) If you are trying to climb the ladder, and your boss knows you are a workhorse, TELL them that you want to move up in the company. As a workhorse, they might not want to promote you. If you are the best at your job and you work extra - why should they? To them, you fit that spot perfectly. TELL them you want a promotion - that you are doing these extra tasks so that you understand the job - and give them a time frame. If they can't at least put you in a training program for a promotion within your time frame - or within reason - find a new job. Apply for a new job and use those experiences to beef up that resume.
Number 1 is so true. If you truly understand this fact you will never be sad again. We, humans, always tend to look out for something that will appear out of nothing and makes us happy. But there is no such thing. True happiness is in us all the time, it just waits for being found.
I'm also 89.......Let's make this year special........I'm going to make it something I've never tried before. Thanks GOD I'm not married and don't have kids so I can enjoy my peaceful and simple life
27 but I look like I am 16 or younger it is so annoying to get dates my age!! An the overtime is right on point. I came into work 2 hours early if my boss needed help. Well I didn't get paid for it.. I can tell you that. It actually started turning me into a workaholic. So I decided " Hey I take a 3 hour bus trip to my job, come in 2 hours earlier than need, I am going to relax till my shift starts" When your the overachiever at work, people will walk all over you. I can't tell you how many times I had to come in at 7 am and stay till 6 pm miss my bus and wait to get home at 8:20 pm. So overachievers DO NOT BE SHY TO PUT YOUR FOOT DOWN with people you think are taking advantage of you. I learned that the hard way this effected my mental and physical health paid terribly for it. There was once one day my health got so bad I felt dizzy and I couldn't hold myself up no matter how much water I drank or food I ate. This was really bad cause I was a preschool teacher and needed to be alert at all time, so I had to get someone to cover me. Not a fun experience!
Because they think "doing the right thing" is an obligation/moral duty (meaning you were cohered into doing it, even if you didn't realized it ) while "doing the wrong thing" was an egotistical choice you chose to do because you're going to get some form of pleasure by doing it, and the only reason those types of people remember that is either because it hurted them in some way, or they're envious that you had the "courage " to do that in that situation while they wouldn't do it if they were in that situation simply because of some moral obligation that they would have that would impede them from doing it, basically those people have "guilty problems", and think the only profit they would gain from not doing something is being able to judge people who do those things, so basically avoid those types of people.

@Dawn Isola I am not talking about older man like 70+. I am talking men like 30-50 they are definitely musculine, knows more and more mature than a 20 year old.
Age 51 here. From my own experience, I agree with most of this. I disagree about sacrifices being unappreciated, at least universally. While volunteering to make a sacrifice for someone you're not close with may go unappreciated, the rule changes with close friends. Part of how I define a friend is when someone is willing to either take a risk for you or make a sacrifice for you. In my own experience, my sacrifices, when carefully chosen, are greatly appreciated, and I greatly appreciate sacrifices made for me. As for the truths about employment, you're spot on. I got reminded of this when, for three years, I opted out of entrepreneurship in favor of the safety of a regular job.
Mark Twain said it best: “When I was 17 I thought my dad was the dumbest person in the world. Then, when I turned 21, I was amazed how smart he became in just 4 years.”
Baileywick from Sofia the First once said: “A job well done is celebration enough” I know not many people like that show, but I agree with that quote. The best feeling is finally finishing something you really wanted to get done. You don’t need any award. The feeling of a project being over is rewarding. Until the next project lol🤣
Totally agree with this list, though about number 7, I've been that person who continually turned down invites to social gatherings. I would just make up some excuse as a reason I couldn't attend. The real reason was my depression. Looking back on that time, I regret not being honest with my friends and letting them know what I was dealing with and the real reason I kept saying I couldn't go. If this sounds like you, I encourage you to open up to your friends about what you're going through if you feel like you can trust them with your personal business.
Life has no inherent, divinely assigned purpose or destiny. You define your purpose and existence. You make your own choices. Outcomes are a complex dynamic of your own choice and factors beyond your control.
One of the harshest truths that I think most people don't think about is that no matter what you do - diet, exercise, etc... - we are all going to die at some point in our lives. None of us get out of here alive.
I'm a grand 64 and loving this channel! Another hard truth is that you can't get time back. So if your manager calls you on your day off from work and it's not mandatory to come in and you could spend time with your kiddos say no to that boss! Children grow up so fast and that little extra bit of money won't mean that much later on. Really it won't-but the memories of your kids will. A hard lesson I've learned.
Isaac Bakan Well A, it's a cartoon. And B. Obviously what someone finds attractive will vary by individual. Of course 30 year olds look great! That's still young. But some don't, just as some 20 year olds don't. Take care of yourself at any age and you'll be alright.
As a healthy normal man we men will always choose younger women because of their fertility. They have less baggage and hopefully no kids. That's a fact. If you like older women more, Isaac - you may have unresolved mommy-issues that you need to work at with the help of a therapist. Good luck;
@@roserevancroix2308 lol, well then bad news for older men cause as young fertile normal women we women always choose young fertile healthy men over an older man out of his physical and reproductive prime unless the women have daddy issues. If you are nice to someone then that must mean that you did something wrong and you are trying to make up for it, right? What if I just want to be nice? If you feel like being nice to someone then they just get suspicious...it’s hard to even be nice to people now. An even more depressing harsh truth is that it seems like it only our favorite foods that aren’t as good warmed up...☹️
The most important truth is NR 1. Relationships arent the key to happiness. I see this so many times, people who just broke up go into relationships between 1-6 months, they feel unhappy with themselves unless they have social proof of a ''significant other'', first find out how to have fun on your own, then youl find your partner. 99% of people wont get this (or think they know themselves), but the ones that really do are so much further in life and will get a lot more out of it. Divorces rises in popularity as it is more social accapteble and people realize they actually dont fit with the other after many years, 50 years a go people married in their small social circle and only divorced when something should have gone horribly wrong to do so. My parents are happy and married for 40+ years, but both say: They didnt marry the love of their life... Interesting huh? They went into a relationship when mom 20 dad 26! and both have different dreams they did not meet, however they can live with eachother enough to have 4 happy healthy kids who have famillys of their own - I dont think they took the same path a second try.
most wonderful video i saw on RUclips.. #1 deserves the top list as most of the people thinks that whatever you are doing to make yourself better is actually trying to make your partner jealous or something negative.. making friends, socializing or any other thing doesnt mean that one has lost interest in other.. be positive and stay optimistic.. peace
I do not agree with .6 I do help people when I can and maybe not all do something back but lots do show appreciation even though its just by bringin over a thank you pie or flowers or something. It not my experiance that people dont appreciate it when you help them.
People dont appreciate your help or sacrifice WHEN NOT ASKED. People who ask you for help will almost always appreciate you but do the same exact thing before they ask you and BOOM, they do not care and rather feel irritated. My motto would be to only help when asked or when the person is physically incapable of asking(like in an accident or fainted)
I'm single I'm okay, I don't have a lot of friends I'm okay. Until I start noticing how happy other people look and people telling me what I need. I start to feel bad about it. I worry about job interviews and bosses but it sounds to me they don't care about the people working for them. That's why I wish I could be my own boss so I don't have to worry about that.
Looks can be deceiving! Some ppl put on a show! Don't assume their happy bc their smiling! We compare ourselves to others too much! Be content whether your married or single just B!

"Don't judge a book by it's cover" I understand the sentiment behind this old saying, but in the saying does not break down to well in all reality. When we are looking for a book that might be interesting to us, the cover of that book is usually the first thing that draws our attention and indicates a general idea of what the contents of that book will be.
Always be on time and not just for work. Showing up on time shows that you care about whatever it is you are doing. If you go to work and mistakenly burn down the building, the first thing a manager looks at about you is ALWAYS attendance.

It's hard that I've just realized for a while that you can trust no one. I don't like to be that cautious so that I don't get harmed but from now I will be looking to have a deeper insight of the person I meet. I also think that everythink is a matter of experience.

5. Failure is a stepping stone for success.

NO! It depends on management darling. Whomever is part of management is usually going to dictate the culture at your job, for better or for worst.

As for number 3 your boss is more likely just deciding how your good idea can be turned around to make it look like his and take the credit.
that's actually a good thing let him/her take the credit because they will grow dependent on you for ideas and wont want to lose you
One time I was doing a project for one of the VP's and was waiting to see him to get his opinion between two different drafts I had made. While I was waiting, the CEO wandered by and asked what I was up to. I showed him the drafts and made mention of making two because the VP was rather vague on his parameters. When I did see the VP I told him nothing about this so I always wondered how the meeting went when he showed the CEO what "he" had created.
@@permanentmakeuplosangeles Uuuh... no. Bosses lay down people all the time after taking credit for their ideas.
@@permanentmakeuplosangeles That goes two ways. Meaning if upper management also recognizes your talent and tries to promote you out of your bosses domain you boss could and probably will sabotage that promotion to keep you right there feeding them ideas. Another harsh truth:
"Nobody really cares about your opinion, especially if it doesn't align with their own."
Humans can be fickle creatures, and many of the beliefs held by people are based on either faith (religion) or blind trust (politics) an opinion is simply a thought and doesn't really require a belief or fact to make it real in a person's mind.

The problem with school. 90% of the things that you get thought are 100% useless.
Taught* Clearly school is useful
@@hanihussein1264 Actually, it was that interaction that was useful. Human communication in real time. Not a mediocre education system that ejaculates obedient factory workers.
I thought I would like the challenge (before I got into this industry I had a job that barely taxed my brain power and was therefore low paying), but it turns out it's just frustrating.
if you attend a decent one youll at least learn the basics. and aside from that the environment is a lot like the society outside of school, so its kinda like practice before going out into the real world
Hmm... Like spelling?
True but my boss don't want to pay overtime so i do 5-10 hour max in case i miss a days, i hate when people owe me money so a do little as needed.
13. Harsh truth: Some thing said on this channel will not always be best for you and some things said on here should be taken with a grain of salt.

It not my experiance that people dont appreciate it when you help them.
youtubejoop Same bro. People may forget what you say but won't forget the things you do. Especially bad things. So the more good you do....
The truth doesn't care if you "agree" or not=)

It may or may not but then we can have our own opinions. You cant tell me that i don't appreciate what people do for me.
@@denishahaver7203 Yes very true I have to remember that they are only showing the highlights and I don't really know what they are going through. I try to stay off certain social media cuz I don't need to see what everyone is doing.
You sound pretty smart
@@jujumama Thanks😊
@@denishahaver7203 bs, as long as they are smiling with friends they're doing better than me
The fact you have to explain these truths is the truly frightening part
This is actually a good video. Most of these things I learned on my own
Thanks for demotivation 🙏
Best video on RUclips so far for 2019 and possibly a lifetime.
I see where you are going with that but its better to get to know someone for who they are instead of what they project themselves to be.
I thought the coffee segment at the beginning was an ad.
Always be on time and not just for work. Showing up on time shows that you care about whatever it is you are doing. If you go to work and mistakenly burn down the building, the first thing a manager looks at about you is ALWAYS attendance.

1: Always be the hardest working person in the room
2: Never skip leg day
Just because you’re the hardest working person in the room doesn’t mean you’re going to get a promotion.
@@Gamer88334 that’s what lazy people tell themselves
People shouldn't always listen to social media either, because it's not always right. Fact is everyone is different and they can be what they want.
Women who are 30 or are much older than 30 also look amazing.
Noctor Anjith lol nooo. 😂😅
I’m saying this from experience I know many beautiful women over 30.

dear, after 30 only makeup can save a woman's face. after 1 ton of makeup is gone, that's when men will run for the hills.
robicelus ah so harsh 😯😅 I don’t maybe it varies from place to place or culture etc but I’m not saying this to be nice but many older women look stunning too.
Woman 30 & above look so hot, it's unreal ❤ They also tend to understand better generally
Women after 30 are wise and hot

It's hard that I've just realized for a while that you can trust no one. I don't like to be that cautious so that I don't get harmed but from now I will be looking to have a deeper insight of the person I meet. I also think that everythink is a matter of experience.
Harsh truth: Being a manager is not "always fun." You're the person they send all the angry people to. XD
No-one said it was.
In fact it's a LOT of work, stress and responsibility.
It is not for everyone.
@@roserevancroix2308 some people believe it is a fun and easy job, especially when they're young :) I had my "harsh truth" about that learned the hard way xD it's always easy to idealize people in positions above you... until you get there
I was a manager for 22 years. At times it was like trying to herd cats.
@@roserevancroix2308
People at my work ask me when i will become manager. I tell them never because i never will have the personality for it.

Best way I see it, everyone start where they are, choose goals and ideals based on their greatest joy and greatest pain, and achieve their goals/ideals in synergy with the goals/ideals of others.
