So i get the impression your a Trump fan for pointing out Clinton? Can you make a video on Trump being a narcissistic psychopath? Because he is and close to 200 psych professionals have pointed it out. Also are you aware that the Americans with Disabilities Act protects psychopath, narcissist, sociopaths and those with BPD and allows those types to basically be president of the U.S.., or CEO's of major corps, all the positions that give them power and something should be done about that so that people with those types of disorders are regulated to jobs that don't give them such power. What do you think? Should those types of people be allowed to work in positions that involved making important decisions that affect the general public?

These are all BS as many factors contribute to that kind of body language. These arent hard and fast rules. You prolly doing everyone a disservice with this vid
ok: Yes, that's true for many of us. It's a natural human thing to feel a bit awkward looking at someone in the eyes for more than a few seconds at a time. I remember taking an acting class where the acting teacher made us all pair off with a classmate, and to sit facing each other and just looking our classmate in the eyes for like 5 minutes, without saying anything. It was very hard to last even 5 seconds, let alone 5 minutes, without feeling uncomfortable and looking away.
Agree! I have social anxiety and trust issues due to abuse as a child...I slump because of spinal ddd...I think most of these are just someone's opinion
Anybody can lie. All you have to do is take advantage of someone's trust; That doesn't take skill or savvy. It just takes being a piece of s***. That trick only works until they find you out
These "signs" could also be for people who have a fear of public speaking or are just generally awkward around others. It doesn't mean they're liars. Lol. I'm guilty of some of these because I have issues with public speaking and my self-esteem.
Usually liars contradict themselves even in the same sentence at times. It's easy to spot these contradictions if you're paying close attention. But usually you can tell because their actions speak louder than their words.
The best way to catch a liar is not to depend on them for the answers to the questions. I've told everyone I've ever dated that I never ask questions I don't already know the answer to, and I've stuck by that. Each and every last one of them (well, except one) thought I was kidding and would then proceed to lie to my face. It's a fascinating exercise in human behavior, actually. Almost everyone lies. Constantly. It's a function of human egocentricity. Side note: it's also WAYYYYY easier to find out people are lying when they don't suspect that you think they're lying (seems obvious, right?)... That's another reason why I don't even bother asking for information, I only ask to gain confirmation. I generally don't care about the action that precipitated the lie either, I care more about the lie. It speaks far more about someone's character and how they characterize the relationship. If someone is completely and entirely upfront with me about their intentions and actions, it means that they trust me with their internal truth about who they are, and at that point, who am I to judge? I have awful thoughts and am tempted to do bad things all the time. That's the nature of the human condition. People are self-contained sovereign consciousnesses with the self-ascribed right to choose their actions and paths. When entering into a relationship though, there is a contract that is entered into - one that supersedes personal sovereignty because it affects the sovereignty of another being. That contract is one that demands mutual respect and maturity. That is why it's only when someone decides to insult my intelligence or risk the relationship by intentionally hiding information they think will make them look bad or 'hurt' me that I take issue. It's a direct violation of that contract and amounts to a breach of the underlying construct. It's not necessary to always appear perfect in a relationship, and while all people make 'mistakes', lies are NOT mistakes. They are intentionally selfish and protectionist CHOICES. I don't judge people for their mistakes but will ABSOLUTELY hold you accountable for your choices. You should never be in a relationship with someone who lies to you, or that you feel you need to lie to. That, in fact, is not a relationship at all. It's a war. A battle-less, cold, diplomatic yet potentially devastating war filled with much pomp and circumstance between allies, where beneath the generous lip-service roils mistrust, resentment, and subversive espionage, just beneath the surface.
When asked a question, if they repeat the question back to you before they answer, they're going to lie. They use that extra time to come up with an answer.
PSYCHOLOGY 101: An easy way to tell if a person is lying is they also have an answer for everything rather than saying "I don't know" and will make often something up as to get you to think they are superior and you are inferior. As well, liars will also test you by making something up (another lie) and if you don't know the answer they'll continue to perpetuate their lie because you're unsure if what they are saying is really a lie or not.
if you did nothing you get nervous from what people are accusing you of . That's common sense. Some people get scared or mad dont mean they did it. They just dont want to be blamed or pay the price for something they didn't do.
Lying creates a distinctly different emotional vibration than honesty does! It can clearly be felt by a truly honest person... because it noticably stands out from one's own personal emotional energies!
Boi there is a time and place in finding out if someone is lying. Its not like he said that everytime someone bite or lick their lips they are already lying. And it is said that it also not 100% right
You better not use this too much. Aforementioned Allan Pease has also told that ordinary people tend to misinterpret these signs. Most of them are about being stressed and feeling uncomfortable. Have you ever seen a professional liar? He is confident and has great oratory skills. At the same time, you'll find thousands of people with social anxiety, awkwardness in communication and those who are just excited. You can undeservedly identify them as liars! Don't let your astonishingly accurate assumptions about body language hinder you understanding REAL people.
This whole thing is just a "well, it works sometimes" sort of thing. Even lie detectors aren't fool proof. A naturally nervous person can fail a lie detector. If you are being accused of killing your best friend in court, you could fail a lie detector (as they work on nerves and sweating) and go to jail for years for something you didn't do. On the other hand, a psychopath that isn't bothered by such things could pass the test even though he's guilty. That's why they aren't allowed (unless you say sure I'll do it, but then you're stuck with the result) in most places. So I wouldn't take the video's word for anything.
Odd, I do many of these things whilst telling people things they don't want to hear - which are 99% of the time factually accurate. For example, I usually shrug my shoulders when telling someone bad news about themselves. Doesn't make me a liar.
I get cotton mouthed in interviews not because I am lying, it is because when a panel stares at me I feel ashamed to be in this desperate position to basically beg for a job. Lots of these points are just speculation... usually you will SENSE when someone is lying, especially when a person you know well suddenly behaves odd. We all lie sometimes and most hide it very well.
It has been inferred to me a few times in my life that I was lying when i wasn't. I am glad you kept saying may be instead of is because not all of these things are necessarily accurate.
These are all signs of nervousness, not specifically lying. Bright Side, could you make one on how to determine if someone isn't confident but still honest?
While many of these are true you have to take into consideration that the person you are dealing with may have a neurological or mental impairment which can cause all of these body language signs. Fore example, someone with social anxiety disorder may portray all of these signs even if they are telling the truth.
I'm a bad liar... I don't have poker face... I don't like lying (it depends...) I lie sometime/rarely (it depends on the situation...) I cannot eye contact, cuz I'll laugh and/or feel unconfortable, but it doesn't mean im lying...And I had enough of people calling me a liar when i'm not... Edit: Sometime people lie for being polite...
Sometimes while committing an act of wrong, a person can make the decision that what they're doing isn't wrong from there perspective. When confronted, they can lie without showing any signs because they've already sworn to take it with they to they're grave and not show any sympathy.
My body language has always been hard to read because of social deprivation throughout my youth until i was 22. I don't relate or empathize well. Now I'm 30. I've practiced changing the tones in my voice and to mimic the body languages of others. But nothing's genuine, so everything is a lie, except the info i speak.
Shy and introverted people look down at times but you can usually tell the difference...shifting eye contact...avoiding eye contact...deflecting attention...nose rubbing...hunching...observations
I can't read body language very well, so I use logic to expose liars, I let them carry on digging themselves a whole so they think I'm buying their BS and they just keep digging.
Something that we often over look is tell signs. We can ask the person to simply tell you three truths 3+3=6 then then tell them to say 3+3= any answer they want to they will show their sign.
I usually take on a cocky attitude when I lie, which isn’t often. I feel like if I’m ‘telling the truth’ I shouldn’t be worried with what I’m saying, so I’m usually not. I just take on a cocky attitude to seem as innocent as possible.
Those of you saying these are standard gestures, you are right in normal circumstance I think when a liar is being exposed they would tend to do these things and some may be out of character, as such you must use your brain to determine what the body language is saying
💖You forgot that you can use the word "totally" it is a word i sometimes joke or prank my friends for an example when im playing games i can use it like when i joked in a game about poting a friend in oven in the game i said totally then i was like saying i was pranking i dont remember all the details but it was funny i think. Also i love your videos💖
Can't most of these actions be explained by other factors? For example, anxiety, ADD, cultural differences, etc. Nervousness, fear or embarrassment don't signify that a person is lying.
If may say spotting a lie differs. If you're talking with extraverts the rules you put in the video applies for most of them. But for introverts it's different. For example introverts are using their eyes to search their words in order to express their feelings. they are also nervous. You'll think that they lie when in fact they are telling the truth. Most of introverts look straight at the person in front of them while lying to this person. So be careful using the rules to spot a lie. If you feel someone is lying to you, speak short sentences and make long pauses between them. Often liars become uncomfortable or sweat or they are trying to run away from the discussion. And this rule applies for both introverts and extraverts.
There is great variance in nonverbal behavior from person to person. Therefore, lie detection of someone who is not known by the evaluator, based exclusively on nonverbal behaviors has extremely low reliability and validity rates. However, nonverbal reactions can be reliable and valid indicators of lying, providing the evaluator knows a person well and is very familiar with their typical nonverbal reactions.
true but some shy and low self esteemed people that are unaware of how to speak or act with body language or act on this poorly, can also display some of these signs so it would be quite difficult.i often feel normal inside but then some say to me why are you angry and meanwhile I'm normal so yeah it is that some people just don't act or think like the others but yes none of the less this video is accurate but with a few exeptions as mentioned above.also they could also be thinking of past events or might gain fear because of possible false accusations.also if a police officer questions you even when innocent, that tends to make one very nervous ,especially shy and nervous people or paranoid or fear of cops ect
After decades of playing a violin/fiddle my axis is tipped, making my head tilt just a little. Music was a form of controlling a disorder I have that causes one to often have excessive saliva, causing me to wipe my mouth multi times daily. My eyes are naturally wide eyed, but not googlely. So where did these experts go to build their info???
I've always felt like people won't believe me and it doesn't matter how truthful or even more important, correct what I'm saying is. Watching this I think I actually do most of these things. It's not because I'm not being truthful but because I'm sure they don't believe. me. Maybe that's why they respond the way they do.
What if a person’s medication causes dry mouth? I think these body language visuals are helpful, however there are exceptions that will cause an unfortunate consequence....
My cousin did all of these and always doesn’t keep her promises, and always lies to me and tries to make excuses and ignores me when i tell her she is exposed and i tell her again and she says in a uncomfortable tune: “Fine, You win!” And mumbles saying ugh.
Hey man I found your duplicated channel with the same videos but random time aded . It called "Jasna Strona " in polish but in English is "Bright Side"
I have dry eyes- so I blink more. I also at times have to speak in spurts due to a lung disease, and have a dry mouth due to being on oxygen and side-effects from medication.
Why can't I stop lying? I mean it's like when someone ask me about something I didn't think to lie but the words that comes out from my mouth is not what I want to say
No offense: Thats what we call 'pathological liars'. You just cant help y/s. It might be out of trust issues. Like you dont trust me to handle what you say honestly. Also a bad habbid that is now in control of YOU. To avoid negative consequences. To protect your privacy coz you feel vulnerable or exposed. To watch how others fall into your manipulations and trust your word. What makes them your prey. Power games
I have noticed that I cannot keep long eye contact with blue or green eyes. Basically any eye color other than brown 🧐 also if the eyes seem playful or intimidating.
Ok, so what about people who have health issues that cause them to do much of theses things on a regular daily basis? How is it determined whether they are a liar?
Which of these do YOU do, while being dishonest?
But isn’t some/most of this also apply to nervous people who aren’t necessary lying?
I do all these things I am just lying
I have a friend when he lies he smiles and he sometime laughs

Not really
My take away is that is you move, you're lying and if you stay perfectly still, you're lying. Yikes!
Its more about the change in movement when they start lying, from open to stiff or from standing still and starting to move more
If a person has open body language, they are probably telling the truth.
The worst is accidentally smiling while telling the truth, and then everyone thinks you're lying.

Usually liars contradict themselves even in the same sentence at times. It's easy to spot these contradictions if you're paying close attention. But usually you can tell because their actions speak louder than their words.

Essentially, according to this video, everything a person does during a conversation can be construed as a "tell" for lying.
PSYCHOLOGY 101: An easy way to tell if a person is lying is they also have an answer for everything rather than saying "I don't know" and will make often something up as to get you to think they are superior and you are inferior. Lying creates a distinctly different emotional vibration than honesty does! It can clearly be felt by a truly honest person... because it noticably stands out from one's own personal emotional energies!
Being questioned or accused of lying is very uncomfortable. People may do all of these and be telling the truth. Be careful in judging someone.

Becoming rude or very defensive is how I can spot a person who is lying.
I CAN TELL IF SOMEONE IS LYING...
WHEN I ALREADY KNOW THE TRUTH!!!🤥🤥🤥🤔🤔🤔
Exactly
My grandmother always said "You can catch a thief but you can't catch a liar"
Ahuh..wise granny
If you only try.
Well what are you going to do with a liar if you catch them nothing you can do
Just because someone is fidgeting doesn't mean they are lying. It means they are uncomfortable . Most likely..an introvert!
or someone who is hiding something that might not even be a lie, but maybe an insecurity....it's called a baseline for a reason.
As an introvert i agree
Also a variety of conditions can cause voice variations. Medication, gurd, injury. Ect. To say it's a notice of someone lying is reckless .
Sometimes my voice is funky due to allergies. It has nothing to do with lying.
Does this work with pathological liars, psychopaths, and sociopaths?
I do some of these things because I've got anxiety, not because iam lying.. Iam confused now haha
Yeah, anxiety is really a bummer. Akin to panic attacks, at least with me.
This whole thing is just a "well, it works sometimes" sort of thing. Even lie detectors aren't fool proof. A naturally nervous person can fail a lie detector. Lots of these points are just speculation... usually you will SENSE when someone is lying, especially when a person you know well suddenly behaves odd. Dry mouth is also caused by meds/health conditions
I hold my head down, play with my fingers, twist my hair, and talk in a softer voice when I’m lying . I often stutter too

The tilting head and playing with the hair things, are also said to be that a woman is into you and turned on. How are we to know the difference ?
Yes
Thanks for telling me all this.
Now when I feel the need to lie, I can learn to do it better.
I do often the tilt of the head but rather to express my suspicion/disbelief about a topic than lying.
I saw a few factors that are also anxiety symptoms as well. I also spaced out several times during the video and don't know if they mentioned it.
I can't read body language very well, so I use logic to expose liars, I let them carry on digging themselves a whole so they think I'm buying their BS and they just keep digging.
I request that you guys extend this topic and use some US politicians speech and body language to check whether they are lying to people
All those signs could also mean the person is being uncomfortable or nervous, not necessarily not telling the truth.

When a person is lying they're vague and try to use language that distances them from the subject.
Sometimes liars look down to the left.
I had an ex that yawned when he was lying. Every time.
This all goes out the window and is moot if someone being interviewed suffers from anxiety, and or panic attacks
psychopathics can hold contact alot longer then those who are simply just afraid of false accusations

You simply ask them if they are lying, and if they say no. They are lying! Yep...
true but some shy and low self esteemed people that are unaware of how to speak or act with body language or act on this poorly, can also display some of these signs so it would be quite difficult.i often feel normal inside but then some say to me why are you angry and meanwhile I'm normal so yeah it is that some people just don't act or think like the others but yes none of the less this video is accurate but with a few exeptions as mentioned above.also they could also be thinking of past events or might gain fear because of possible false accusations.also if a police officer questions you even when innocent, that tends to make one very nervous ,especially shy and nervous people or paranoid or fear of cops ect
I don't interact with many people, so I don't fit the catagory. No, I'm no hermit, I have not abandoned society, I just do my job, go home, and chill.
With this knowledge it would be more difficult for them to identify if I'm lying or not.
Simple strategy to avoid having to conceal the truth ie "If you can't admit it, don't commit it".
This was very helpful. Or am I lying?
My cousin did all of these and always doesn’t keep her promises, and always lies to me and tries to make excuses and ignores me when i tell her she is exposed and i tell her again and she says in a uncomfortable tune: “Fine, You win!” And mumbles saying ugh.
What if a liar is watching this to avoid being caught👀👀👀
Wow so basically being shy, uncomfortable, timid , or having a a bad habit (biting lips) are all ways to get misjudged
Folding arms and leaning forward is also a sign.
Hey man I found your duplicated channel with the same videos but random time aded . It called "Jasna Strona " in polish but in English is "Bright Side"
4:01 I mean I have a fidgeting problem and I can’t help it so does that mean I’m lying to myself??
Or a person telling the truth is nervous of being wrongfully convicted
The title should be how to lie without being caught
1:53 why they do Chris Brown like that😂
I have dry eyes- so I blink more. I also at times have to speak in spurts due to a lung disease, and have a dry mouth due to being on oxygen and side-effects from medication.
Why can't I stop lying? I mean it's like when someone ask me about something I didn't think to lie but the words that comes out from my mouth is not what I want to say
No offense:
Thats what we call 'pathological liars'.
Power games
Would you be able to see they're lying if their pupils shrink or their pulse speeding up?
Also when a person changes the subject, trying to take the attention off of them by focusing on something other than the matter at hand.
I don't know how to lie so I wanted to learn so I am learning 💖
Hey thanks for your video👍👍👍👍
Is this apply to person with Narcisistic?
I have noticed that I cannot keep long eye contact with blue or green eyes. Basically any eye color other than brown 🧐 also if the eyes seem playful or intimidating.
My experiences would have me conclude this...lying inevitably leads to the realisation it doesn't really work.
Ok, so what about people who have health issues that cause them to do much of theses things on a regular daily basis? How is it determined whether they are a liar?
I do some of these and I struggle with social anxiety.
Title: "the easiest way to spot a liar within 2 mins"
Duration: 9 mins
Well played
Same I can say that I’m a truthful and loyal person I can’t say I haven’t lied in the past
My manager show all of these signs every day at work 😂
What if a person wants to talk about other people never about themselves is that considered telling a lie?
