Air compressor rebuild sounds like a lot of work to get it fixed up and running again Johnny bravo better than buying a new one for your shop
Nice!
Give the whole thing a wash down with some superclean!
Hahaha! Next video Arch! Looks like I'm doing an extended series on this thing already, so one more makes it morer betterer.
Back in the day, people used to ask,,,how tight do I make it,,,??
We would say, "until just before it gets loose again" lol
@@TheNovaJohn HAhaha! The trick, or experience is, where does it go just before it gets loose again ?? Been there many times. (that's why I have a LARGE selection of helicoils)
Highly discourage Superclean on raw aluminum. Sodium hydroxide converts aluminum into sodium aluminate. Same applies to Purple Power, and especially Zep Industrial Purple Degreaser. You know the reaction is occurring if the part starts off gassing (hydrogen). The surface will have a dull grey appearance after exposure. It is an exothermic reaction so it is possible to achieve burn level temperatures if a person leaves an aluminum component soaking.
That compressor isnt worth the money ro fix it. They were like 99 bucks brand new. Mine lasted like 15yrsbefore it would labor to pump up. Take a trip to harbor freight and get an updated one
