    It should be noted you cannot save the “exposure compensation” setting in the settings menu. You have to manually dial that in with the exp comp dial.

    Hi, I'm new to Fuji, bought a used x-t5 and I noticed previous own has amazing recipes/simulations saved to the camera. Is there a way to save those recipes to the computer and/or sd card?
    I'd like to back them up before I do a fresh camera reset and reset all settings then re-load the recipes.

Everything seems to be working just fine, but is there an easy way to jump back into your "standard" settings after using one of the custom settings? I believe Saul used Kodachrome a lot so the Kodachrome simulations come close but he was often known to use expired film too, a lot of his work has a magenta cast so you can tweak the profile's white balance to add more magenta tint so achieve that effect

    • @CraigPitts
      @CraigPitts  2 года назад +1

      You could modify either of those, reducing the contrast on Velvia will make it less saturated and conversely using the tone curve to add contrast to Astia will make it less flat 👍🏻

  • @sclogse1
    @sclogse1 3 года назад +1

    Just have a measly T2. Looks like my 7 custom settings are already occupied with Velvia, Astia, Provia, Classic Chrome, sepia etc. I'd like to keep them, so I don't see where else to save a new custom setting unless I override one of them. A cool custom setting would be Kodak VPS, which added a fat rich brown warmth and was heavily prescibed as the film to shoot weddings with.
    You can get a similar effect if you light your whole neighbirhood on fire, and let the smokey air warm up your shot, but that's kinda pushing it.

      it is no related to film simulation slots. it is additional settings you build based ON film simulation. Even after choosing your settings saved with such parameters as film simulation, WB, color, noise, grain, shadow and highlights - you can easily change any of them after selecting custom settings. Again, you edit custom settings (also called as film receipt) based on film simulation settings
