In my experience both Japanese and Korean girls are interested in westerners. And its pretty easy to get into short term relationships. The problem comes when you are looking for a long term relationship or marriage. This is when culture and family will be the deciding factor. The parents usually decide who their daughter will marry. If the family is very traditional then there is no chance of her marrying you does not matter how much she loves you.
