It's a big reason my primary method of learning Japanese is by watching anime as I have found that I learn way more from listening with subtitles than from a classroom
Hololive is great too. But it depends how much you know. You have to learn vocabulary first and Anime isn't good for that. It can be done but it isn't efficient.
@@Jordan-Ramses on the contrary because you learn by listening just like how you learned your first language and the more you hear words you pick them up but again to learn languages faster you need more than one method
I could only remember the ones that I heard very common like いただきます("itadakimasu", let's eat) and ご馳走様でした("gochisou sama deshita", thank you for the meal!"), but it felt helpful.
Hello again Mochi Sensei. Thankyou for today's wonderful lesson! I have a question about today's lesson. My question is about *saiaku da ne* As you may already know dear Sensei, the phrase "that sucks" is a slang phrase in English and some people (although I wouldn't say most people, but mainly older people) might consider it rude or even vulgar. So my question is that I would like to know if the Japanese translation you're teaching us in this video is also slang in Japanese or would it be considered impolite to say in some situations?
That's a good question ! 😊 I hope Mochi Sensei will answer. In French for instance, "it sucks" is translated by "ça craint", or "c'est nul", which is not considered vulgar or impolite, even if it's very casual. That's because we don't have this idea of "sucking" in our expression, (involving s*x) in our verb. I'm looking forward to know what it's like in Japanese
I can tell you google translate brought it back in English as "That's the worst". But googling it has brought back just "saiaku" as: "that's terrible/that sucks".
@@vesper8450 In order to answer the question, the best thing to do would be to look for the definition and real meaning of saiaku in a uniligual dictionnary...
I’m just starting to learn Japanese; still working on hiragana, but I laughed at native speed being faster than normal speed! Thank you for all your great videos! I will definitely sign up for your class in the future.
The Hiragana on Duolingo is great I learned the basics in a day. Hololive is a good resource too. They're a Japanese Vtuber company. A lot of funny Japanese clips are translated into English. They also have an EN branch and some of them are very fluent in Japanese. My personal favorite is when the Japanese Vtubers do Duolingo for English. It's the same lessons I did but in reverse. Gawr Gura is kind of amazing too. She doesn't speak much Japanese but she sounds so cute. She could do voice acting in Japanese.
A big muscle black guy for you my dear not a white boy we black guys are coming to Japan we going see of the white boys don't worry Japan is our playground now I am planning on bringing a million black guys to Japan and Korea to take many Japanese women as possible I know you love us black guys more then those white boys 😂 @@mochirealjapanese3430

Hi mochi sensei...I am from Sri Lanka..I have a bachelor degree in Business Management .I need to come to Japan for a job visa..But I'm 32 years and I don't have any knowledge about Japanese .Will I be able to come to Japan if I passed JLPT N3 level for a job visa? Hello Mochi sensei, why 変わりないよ is used instead of 変わらないよ?
変わらない is doesn't change (negative form of 変わる)
変わりない is the phrase for "same as usual" 😊
