I agree. The M4 iPad Pro has excellent performance, but it is crippled by iPad OS to a walled garden ecosystem of mostly smart phone apps which is extremely frustrating for such an expensive tablet. If I could afford only one of these tablets, I would go with the Surface Pro 11 every time due to its all-round capabilities and no restrictions on the software you can install and run, ignoring any current arm64 compatibility issues which are improving all the time.
The Surface Pro with Snapdragon has compatibility issue with a lot of softwares and apps as well as drivers that are not optimised for Arm. Better research this before buying.
16:39 Your Surface Pro 11's 1646 single core score on Geekbench 6 makes no sense. Even Qualcomm's mobile SD 8 Gen 3 scores over 2200 points and the latest 8 Elite scores over 3100 points. The X-Elite and X-Plus scores around 2900-3200 pts. Something screwed up there.
If your going to to make a full comarison atleast have the full size keyboard for the tab s10, its much better in terms of functionaliy and it also can detach like the windows counterpart!
A fair assessment. I wanted to want the surface pro, but it lacks an x86 cpu and the screen is too small. I have a power laptop that can beat all of these, so the tablet for me is consuming and light production use. The s10 ultra was for me, especially with the free Samsung keyboard with touch pad that it came with made it cheaper. It also works well my my Samsung phone and other accessories. If just one device - I would prefer a proper laptop with the latest Intel x86 cpus.
Funny, as user of s10u and ipad pro. I would prefer ipads aspect ratio with samsungs software. Chipset ant brightness is ok only on papaer in real life , samaung is better on many levels ..... well ok, magic keyboard is good, but good keyboard can save weak ipad
@ based on my observation and also i've watched on some yt vids, when streaming videos, esp for picky ones like myself, the big black bars on ipad is kinda off but the natural really bright resolution of m4 makes it work well.. on the other hand, s10u is the best for multi tasking/ opening and using multiple windows or screens as its landscape mode is really wide
when you hold the S10 Ultra you actually feel like that it is even thinner than the ipad, just because it's so large. But let me tell you the magic keyboard and the Samsung book cover keyboard isn't aren't very good to be honest, especially if you use high quality mechanical keyboards.
I actually own the previous 11"pro ipad, But if I was to buy again? As much as I love my IPad, I'd buy the Samsung S10 plus, reason it's the same as the ultra but as big as an ipad, it's WAY Cheaper than all in this video, you get to upgrade the storage for a fraction of the IPad and something you didn't touch on the keyboard for the Samsung not only do you get a free pen saving $100 but the keyboard and case is frequently on offer for free saving another €350 that's a total saving of $450 And that's before we include adding your own Extra storage, if you add all this the iPad would cost double the Samsung plus or even for that matter ultra..... Best bang for the money it's a win for the Samsung when these offers are on, would I miss my IPad? 100% yes, but having a tablet value of $1700 for $800 apple has nothing that can compete for said price..... By the way great show
My phone basically replaced my PC. So, I'm fairly certain tablets would be a bigger version of the phone that would be even more PC-like. Sure, the compute capabilities of my phone or indeed the best tablets from all manufacturers, including Samsung - the company that made my phone - pales in comparison to my latest PC even though my current PC is nearly a decade old now. The reality is I don't need that power all the time. Yet, even when I do need that power, my phone can do basically everything my PC can do faster than my PC can using far less energy, outputting way less heat and still getting me through a day without needing to charge. PCs are great for unbridled compute performance when you really need it, but most times, you really don't, and even where you might, X86 is so much less efficient than ARM and Apple IoCs while the latter is pretty comparable performace wise in certain situations even when gaming.
Yeah that MTK chip feels like a downgrade. Edit: actually the 9300+ isn't a bad chip at all. It's better than the SD Gen 3 but it runs hotter. The MTK chip is a good SoC but the SDX Plus and M4 are just way better.
9:41 First with the LCD screen for the Surface Pro and now with the Samsung keyboard. Samsung, Surface, Ipad. But... as soon as Surface will be able to dual boot android, all tablets will be dead... ok, or android tablet to boot windows ( not very realistic) or linux like( which samsung already had many years ago)
Just got a Samsung S10 Ultra and love it. Am using it primarily for streaming and RUclips video watching, and it's great for that.
Thanks for the review! I would also like to see a comparison of the speakers. Has anyone compared it?

it also sucks on it's battery. I've heard a lot of complaints about it.

Been waiting for this for long time, thanks for doing it

Likely a different power profile (power saving, etc)

Great review.. thanks 🙏
Really well done.

Did you test the tab 10 ultra with natural mode on? Try that.... That's much more acurate, but i agree, the ipad Pro has the better screen still.
Only surface pro is real computer - other tablets are only expensive toys
tablet for entertainment and do some work. tablet is not a laptop.
Who say it’s the computer?

@@TonLopChanhNYApple used to market their iPad as “What is a computer?”
@basitkram don't believe apple. they are still sale macbook and mac os. pados limited than dex mode of ss.
The problème of windows is start to be slower after year of use
I wish Apple came out with a macOS tablet to compete with the surface pro.
It would have been nice to compare a Chrome OS tablet, such as the Lenovo Duet, as well.
it would just lose.
Both the tab s10 ultra and the ipad destroy the surface.
I can’t believe the Tab S10 Ultra is last in benchmarks… 😬

how in the world did Samsung Choose this shitty SOC for tab s10??
Samsung leading the industry in the art of "Cost cutting"
Microsoft is making a good comeback in the hardware game.
I will wait till 2025 before I upgrade iPad, iPhone or get air pod pro gen 3.
Apple disappointed me this year.
ipad pro is obv the best microsoft surface is plain sht and android tablets just plain suck
