    .... and Open Source. So forward thinking. It's stunningly admirable that Scotty has shared the printable parts. Future is friendly after all.
    I will buy the pro version as soon as I purchase the handheld stabilizer ( too many options - hard to decide ).

    Hi there, I think the z-axis stabilizer is a really good idea and there will be a big market for it in the coming months. Just some constructive feedback, however, I think it would be more effective at dispersing the weight if the spring section of your z-axis gimble were to attach mid shaft, or near the top of the stick, instead of at the bottom of the 3-axis gimbal which used in conjunction. I saw your dgi pocket 4th axis stabilizer and I feel that design works better because the fulcrum is closer to the dji pocket.. This would not only make it lighter but I believe would help improve the 4th axis stabilization greatly. It also looks so much more supported and less of a balancing act versus having it connected way down at the bottom of the handle. Suggestions for how this could be done (since most 3rd party 3-axis gimbals have got varying diameters) is to have an adjustable dual or triple ring cage with adjustable knobs which can be tightened at various points on the shaft of say, a zhiyun or dji or freevision vilta-m. (It's hard to describe, but as the name implies, if you search for a penis / cock cage, it sort of gives an idea of the design I'm talking about).
    I'm also hoping that you would come out with one for the movi freefly. I'm pretty sure a lot of vloggers would be keen to get this if a more organic method of connecting this z axis to the 3-axis gimbal could be developed.

    Is there a possibility to attach it to my Mountainbike because when I use my Osmo it can not cope the awful lot of movements and then it stops stabilizing?

    Hi. Looks pretty good. Let me ask you would you be selling one for de Dji Osmo Mobile since it has the rosette mount on the side and not on the bottom. How would you fix that? And when would you start selling them?

    • @ScottyMakesStuff

      Thanks Urroz!
      I've made a mount for the DJI Osmo's rosette mount. I'm about to release a new Pro Model of this stabilizer... In all the testing done so far this stabilizer rocks and I can't wait to get it out there! When I do there'll be a DJI Osmo rosette mount as an option. Here's an image of the original mount but the new one will be a bit different thingiverse-production-new.s3.amazonaws.com/renders/2e/30/cb/f4/06/b91e5ab12d87702bf9b17e73e4553069_preview_featured.jpg

    Hello Scotty.. I would really much like one for my gimbal.. I don't have access to a 3D printer.. How ca I buy one?

    • @ScottyMakesStuff
      @ScottyMakesStuff  7 лет назад

      Sure Nick. This is the previous version though. The current Compact Pro version is around 30% smoother than this model and available for sale at my website scottymakesstuff.com/
      There's also a playlist of videos relating to it here:- ruclips.net/video/smD-RTGe4J4/видео.html

    well done on a simple yet effective z axis stabiliser - i hear your aussie accent - so how much to get one delivered to perth?

    • @ScottyMakesStuff
      @ScottyMakesStuff  7 лет назад +1

      Hey Jerome Trutmann , yes, I'm in NSW. I use Aust Post and you can choose either standard or express at checkout so it's definitely cheap for you :) This model is now superseded by the Compact Pro model that has at least 30% better stabilisation ruclips.net/video/smD-RTGe4J4/видео.html
      My new Compact Pro and the full size Pro 2 are available at my website scottymakesstuff.com/

      can it handle the Crane2 with a nikon D3200 as well? is this what the heavy spring is for?

    • @ScottyMakesStuff
      @ScottyMakesStuff  7 лет назад +1

      The compact Pro tops out at 1.7kg using the heavy spring which is not enough to handle your rig... but no problem :D there's a full size stabiliser that's perfect for it here:- ruclips.net/video/ydT-I7Mbt4o/видео.html

    will this fit on the DJI Osmo handle?

    • @ScottyMakesStuff
      @ScottyMakesStuff  7 лет назад

      Hi Anzelle, yes, it fits and there's a couple of ways to attach it. The Osmo doesn't have a 1/4 - 20 hole in the base like most gimbals so it can be attached with the rosette on the side of the Osmo. That's the most secure mounting but if you're not jumping around too much then there's a sleave that the base slips into which is also available. Note that the sleave can't be used in inverted mode as the osmo will just slip out. You can choose one (included) or both for an additional $15.

    That dog clip was so horrible..with tons of jitters in it....

    • @ScottyMakesStuff
      @ScottyMakesStuff  7 лет назад

      Yeah, totally right there... but at the time I only had a full size gimbal to test and because the phone is so light (well under the minimum rated for that gimbal) the gimbal keeps jumping about... not to mention that it was tough shooting such a heavy rig with one hand. But I did mention that in the video ;-)
      But you live and learn... I've since got a compact gimbal and the footage is a lot better on that stabilizer. But, I knew I could improve on that stabilizer so after a few more months of product development I've only recently released a completely new compact stabilizer and my estimate is that it's at least a 30% improvement on this original model comparing the same compact gimbal... so 50% better than this above :)
      Well, you can see for youself here:- showreel ruclips.net/video/YJ4jBCNqeLs/видео.html and a features video ruclips.net/video/smD-RTGe4J4/видео.html
      All the new footage was shot with phone stabilization off and on a fairly inexpensive Moto G5 plus. Put a Pixel 2 or iPhone X on there with stabilization on and you'll get some truly cinematic footage :)
