Quiet luxury existed way before all of this in Europe. It's not a "club" or anything, that's how rich people always been wearing cloth. What you see with big brand etc, are new rich or extravagant with 0 taste.
How crazy, i did a research about this of my uni. Thanks for elevating this message of the urge to find a good quality and good craftmanship in a fashion rather a loud logo to emphasize richness among the surrounding
From the get-go, brands that are marketed way more than the average consumer could afford, heavily relies on marketing and branding. Because generally from a critical standpoint, clothes have the same function with some subtleties in the materials (e.g technology) compare it to something like an expensive watch of car, where the price often justifies from the sheer amount of engineering and materials used for a more pleasurable experience.
Agreed. A solid marketing strategy is all you need sometimes. Most of these luxurious brands start/ed through connections, think Chanel who was a mistress of many wealthy connected people, making her rise into a luxury brand quite straightforward. Same still happens today, one way or another.
Quiet luxury is a lifestyle. It is not marketing strategy until recently in social media era where many people on the platform are longing to look rich. Quiet luxury has been style in Europe since many years ago esp france. It is not just about some people who think they are elite n exclusive, but also the locals in europe who want to separate themselves from rich foreign tourists who wear all the label n monogram. These locals wear different things, more low key, created by local designers or less popular expensive brands with heritage. It can be those super expensive stuff or mid range prices
Two objections: 1) quite luxury doesn’t have to be normcore. 2) What’s with the focus on other people recognising brands, and the „right people“ recognising your luxury pieces without logos. People give less of a fuck than you think, I enjoy buying quality when I can.
the funny thing most of the time with luxury is the the price to quality ratio. you need to be educated to know if something is high quality. because a piece cost a huge amount of money doesn’t mean it’s high quality or worth the money. most luxury exists beautiful rich people want to spend money to spend money

Here also I do not buy flashy tech things, just what I need for either my work or to make my life a bit more easier.
I personally think that Quiet Luxury is just a movement that aims in quallity and not logos. So instead of buying a Dior Tote Bag for 5 THOUSAND DOLLARS (wich they spend just US$57 to make) just for the logo, you spend the 5k in a purse that has real quallity. Of course is a marketing trick, but it's a movement that is leading us to value more the quallity of everything in our lives.

Cucinelli pronounced wrong. Hermes pronounced wrong. Le Labo pronounced wrong. If you're going to do a video covering luxury brands, shouldn't you at the very least research how the brands are pronounced to add credibility to what you're saying?
Cucinelli sounds fine idk abt le labo
thank you! That pronounced ‘H’ for Hermes was driving me crazy.
