- CHAPTER 1: BODIES FOUND ON GILGO BEACH
It was a regular garden variety day in December, when Eyewitness News reporter Josh Einiger and his photographer, Tony Saturno, were shooting in Suffolk County.
"We were on our way back and we got a call from the desk - saying 'there's a crime scene, there's a maybe body discovered', way down south on Ocean Parkway. Go check it out," Einiger recalled.
When they arrived at the scene, it was cold and pitch black. There were four crime scenes along the beach and spotlights set up.
"It was clear at that point that it was something," recalled Einiger.

In the fall, I took a commercial flight from Myrtle Beach to Stewart International Airport in Newburgh, NY. We flew up the Atlantic coast, but we made our final descent over Gilgo Beach on Long Island on a bright, clear sunny day. There were long, straight roads with no cars, no lights, nothing. Just dunes. Knowing about the recent developments in this case, it was especially eerie.
It would be helpful if you posted the links to the rest of the series.
Just because a woman doing everything she can within her life to keep herself and child alive does not mean it is open field time to abuse moms and children to play out some sick fantasy!! I am saying WTH, get some help!! Please, do not hurt our families And children! Please, please!

I remember before this story broke,the mom of the girl who was found behind his house in all the bramble mess ,was telling her story,that she had left a house which was close to this guys gated community..was saw running down the road being chase by a car,went into this gated community and was never seen again until years later when they bull dozed all the brambled mess behind Huermanns home and found her body,it took years for the mom to get them to look for her,the police had even found one of her earring in his front yard and i believe some buttons or something off her clothes..that was long before they started finding bodies out there.😢

I think you're thinking of Shannan Gilbert. She disappeared and her Mother, Mari Gilbert, was convinced that an Oak Beach resident, Dr. Peter Hackett, was involved. He weirdly inserted himself into the investigation by calling Mari Gilbert with odd declarations involving himself and Shannan and then later denied that he ever called. Shannans body was later found in the marsh land behind his house

You're thinking of Shannan Gilbert. And her mum Mari. And Shannan's body was found behind Dr Peter Hacketts place. He was a suspect for awhile .
It was Mari's tireless work that helped lead to Rex's arrest.

I’m Confused why no one is saying anything about the Driver and the John.ive watched every documentary. On LMN the Driver and the JOHN ARE TALKING VERY DIFFERENT UNTIL THE DRIVER REALIZED SHANNON WAS ON THE PHONE WITH 911. The Documentary with LMN the Driver says He passed the polygraph with Flying Colors But Give Two Very Different accounts of what happened that night. A little ways into the video he comes on and gives a account of what happened. Near the End of The same Documentary He gives a much Different account of what Happened That Night! On the 911 Recording In the Beginning Of it you can hear the Driver telling Shannon to go back and talk to the John That is Until the Driver realizes She’s talking to 911.
Sorry, but I’m seeing the dark side of journalist. They’re hunger for blood seems beyond normal.

I don’t believe there is yet. I think at this point one would be premature as not much about the case is known publicly in the pre-trial phase. But for sure there will be, and I have to say I’m looking forward to reading the entire story, depending on the author of course! The eventual trial will certainly be fascinating!

Agree. The delivery is also inappropriately upbeat. Imagine knowing one of the victims and you end up watching this Josh guy gesticulating and grinning about his moment in the sun.

This criminal,is colder than the Beach itself,no heart,sick individual,his face alone is very scary.
