@Kubold Great work. If I suggested something, it would be to replace the morale indicator with a graphical element. If it gets longer than 5, it unravels from the scroll, but if it's shorter, it gets tarnished, torn, and finally sets on fire at 1 and turns ashes at zero. So basically you can't harm Samuel when you hit his armor (makes sense), you must aim at the gaps. And hitting him multiple times (no matter where) will eventually anger him as well, leading to next stages. Great run, and a great idea for an arcade mode. Just needs a bit more... polishing 😃 Edit: also, after winning 3 rounds the part when Samuel just takes off his armor without any trouble after being crushed by a burning logs is a bit unrealistic. Maybe changing that scene for him taking off only his helmet would be a better Idea, so you must hit him in the head to defeat him?
I think the idea is that after the logs fall on him, the armor saves him from being crushed but the heat causes the metal to burn him, so he takes the armor off. If that’s what’s happening I think the cutscene could do a better job of communicating it, but it’s a tricky thing to get across with only visuals.
After watching MajorKade's videos, in which he treats Lazslo to many stabs, it was odd to see so many cuts :P This game always puts me in the mood to play Blade and Sorcery.

Yes, Samuel is playable, although with no amour. Everyone else on the entire roster isn't armoured either in duels (Other than Kalkstein (16th Century-ish German arming sword fencer) wearing a Fencing Doublet (Which really makes no difference in the game, it's just part of his attire)).
kubold, I am a fan with more than 300+ hours of playing time. I have some opinions, I think the action of pushing the enemy away with hands is unnecessary. Pushing away will cause the attacker to be unnaturally interrupted by the attack animation, I know that sword fighting can easily cause dogfights at close range. But I think it is enough to have a melee attack, for example Isabella's attack with Pommel and kick animations are smoother, and after the melee attack, she can match the next move by herself. Rather than just keep pushing away and dying as long as you get close. I absolutely love this game. This is art, please keep up the great work! Thanks! :D
CAN YOU MADE YOUR GAME FOR PS3 ? (and keep updates working on ps3 of course) ? ? And i was thinking about creating a character that is almost myself in the game - i would like kind of alot - i got Real personality i are remeberable nothing similar to others/ unic style - but i not rich - canot get because the money !?!
It looks really cool and promising. However, I think it is a real shame that historical accuracy was sacrificed in the design of Samuel Zborowski in favor of what looks cool. Wearing a cartridge pouch over hussar armour is a "reenactionsim", something invented by historical reenactors which weren't practiced back in the day. He also wears leather gloves with wasn't something at all popular within Commonwealth. Especially in combination with armour, at least not before mid-XVIIIth century. Then there is a problem with the hussar armour which is a Skórkowski type which, again, only appeared in the early XVIII century. If this part of the story isn't set during or after the reign of August II then I am afraid it is completely out of place. I suppose his armour is consistent with the saber he is using, but in such case, he still should not be wearing that ammo pouch and gloves.
@@douglasknupp4574 In the case of every other game this would totally count as nitpicking but in the case of this game, I think my complaints are justified. I mean, Kubold went the extra mile to ensure a lot of details are accurate. Scanning authentic clothing, making sure all weapons are not only historically accurate but also used in a historically accurate or plausible way (aside from obviously silly characters like Father Żera). The author of this game obviously cares about little details and history a lot. Although on second thought, you may be right, I am probably nitpicking. It is a game, after all, gameplay and the "cool factor" take precedence.
@@kamilszadkowski8864 I see both sides of the argument. But if you play Samuel's storyline it may make sense that everything that goes on isn't 100% accurate or realistic. Including the fact that villain Samuel is unusually tall. I don't want to spoil it here if you haven't done it yet but it seems like the "canon" storyline out of the bunch based on the ending.
I really like the new boss but Samuel's VA is very unconvincing as a blood-covered, battle-hardened man. He could do with his words not being so crisp and properly said, with more intention behind them. As it is, he sounds like a character, which could be what you are going for - this being a story from a book and all!
If the developer, the one playing the game the most, can't beat the boss, then how can anyone compete in a game like this? Is it just random who wins? This doesn't seem skilled at all.

Hey, that's totally wrong, I've seen lots of Hollywood movies and armor doesn't work that way! It's like paper, won't stop any blade!
Alex’s stance looks similar to capoeira
Would love to see a samurai character in the game, he'd be perfect, he'd have a semi unique weapon with the katana and a semi unique fighting style and overall standout
Jedna prośba - zatrudnijcie proszę kogoś żeby nagrał porządnie głos Samuela, bo niestety i jakość nagrania i dykcja, i sami brzmienie głosu strasznie boli :(
Can you play as the hussar? It would be really cool dueling a friend with the hussar while your friend also plays hussar
@@Zetboi thanks for the answer
kubold, I am a fan with more than 300+ hours of playing time. I have some opinions,
I think the action of pushing the enemy away with hands is unnecessary.
Thanks! :D
Jego zbroja jest strasznie twarda żadna szabla go nie przebije - właśnie szabla ... może by stworzyć postać posługującą się nadziakiem ?
Gedeon is the easiest one to beat the boss. You can still rush close and sucker punch him.
Can Marie finally get facial expressions?
Is multiplayer still not available?
Who was the winged hussars in the thumbnail
I almost defeated the boss on the 3rd difficulty, got him 2 times, then he got me 2 times and it was game over :(
bro please add a jannisary character or any ottoman character please it will bhi great as the game is from that era
i will be very happy
Please add flail and other medieval weapons, why ? because will be more fun...
I am sad you added a Hussar but he is not playable :(
will there be a 12th century samurai in the game?
Nitpicking.
@@Subutai_Khan Yeah, I've done it already and you might be right. Putting it in this context it actually makes sense.
I really like the new boss but Samuel's VA is very unconvincing as a blood-covered, battle-hardened man. He could do with his words not being so crisp and properly said, with more intention behind them. As it is, he sounds like a character, which could be what you are going for - this being a story from a book and all!
Few months late, but cutscenes have a tiny "placeholder voiceovers" written in the lower mid. So I suspect it'll be changed at some point.
If the developer, the one playing the game the most, can't beat the boss, then how can anyone compete in a game like this? Is it just random who wins? This doesn't seem skilled at all.
dev would surely play the game a lot but certainly not the most
it's players who play the game the most, and while I can’t speak for all players, I have beat Samuel many times
hard, but certainly not impossible
I almost beat him as Alex on the highest difficulty. I put it lower and beat him far easier just to see the outcome. Will his unarmoured outfit be added later as a customisable?
Hope this comes to consoles!!!!!!
