Many Scothis mercenaries were involved in wars in Eastern Europe. So Irishman is not so unexpected to meet in XVII century Polish Lithuanian Commonwealth for example.
There was a substantial imigration of Scotmen to Poland in the period the game takes place in- hell one of the characters in Sienkiewicz's Trilogy is a Scotish artillery colonel. Also there's Bernard O'Connor - an Irishman who was the physician of king Jan III Sobieski so the idea may not be that exotic.

And while I'm here, I'd also recommend that you allow players to perform *spin* attacks as a *sidestepping* dodge and counter technique, and a *jump* attack to avoid an attack to the legs and counterattack while the opponent's vulnerable; it doesn't have to be *anime* shenanigans like we see in Soulcalibur (that'd defeat the purpose of *this* game), but certain flashy techniques *were* in fact used in real combat when the performer thought it'd give them an advantage in the fight. *Another* thing I'd recommend is to allow for the possibility of *ring outs* when fighting on an *elevated* stage like the gallows; knocking someone off a high ledge, *especially* onto hard ground covered in jagged rocks or something similar, *would* in fact incapacitate them, *ending* the fight, and if the opponent couldn't *swim* , or was wearing clothing or armor that was too *heavy* to allow them to swim, knocking them into deep water would *also* end the fight. So whaddya think of my suggestions; it'd defeat the purpose of this game to do everything *exactly* like Soulcalibur, but not *everything* in Soulcalibur is completely unrealistic. Swedes have stolen lots of Polish sabers from Poland btw.
@@ChillDudelD Ok? Explain more.
Also if you look at Swedish sabers they are often straighter and used differently. Disclaimer i practise 1845 swedish military saber. Earlier once might have been different. But this game isnt to worried about historical accurasy I think. Right?
@@SvampMamma During the so-called Swedish Deluge (1655-1660). Well nice. Why you think that? I think HQ tries to follow the 17th century era historically as faithfully as possible.
@@ChillDudelD I get the sense that you take some offence by wanting a swedish character? Sure i think that they try aswell, I might be wrong but isnt sabers and longswords very far from eachother timewise?
@@SvampMamma What? No. Well longswords were not as much used in the 17th century anymore, maybe for few exceptions, at least in Poland where the sabre became more popular.
Really interesting fighter!
What weapon does he use?
Ciupaga
Bartka, shepherd ax
Góral's ciupaga, aka shepherd's axe.
It's actually a weapon of North Iranian descent, called a fokos in Hungarian
hey!
You should add a guy with a Halberd wearing full plate armor for a real challenge
