So... Fuck... It's pointless to empty my thoughts here, on youtube, I mean. Fuck. This is a new low to go to not just RUclips but any kind of social media as a sort of public diary but I just... Need to get my thoughts out and maybe there'll be someone who cares. Idk. Anyway... Lets start with.. February 4th this year, 2016. I got together with my girlfriend, Ashley, we honestly rushed into a relationship, it wasn't perfect, neither of us had had enough time to get past our past relationships.. But idk.. It worked. Beautifully so actually, up until the Monday after valentines day, (I had taken her to Olive Garden for valentines day and got her some flowers and a gushy card and a stuffed deer cause she likes deer, if anyone cares..) when her ex was about to I guess run away or some bullshit, scared the hell out of her. I could tell by the look in her eye and her body language she wasn't... Over him. Completely at least.. Anyway. That night I had to stay on the phone with her till pretty late to make sure she'd live to see that next day, I've dealt with suicidal people before but I hadn't dealt with her like that before...
But that started a change in me.. It took a relationship that didn't feel that serious, it felt kinda like a bit of a hollow infatuation into so much more for me. I found deeper feelings for her.. She didn't. She left me that Thursday, on our 2 week anniversary. I was devastated until about Monday. She was always on my mind though. Never left. Just persisted, she was all I could think about. Then my worst fears were realized, her and her ex (Who broke her heart before, never takes her on dates, hardly took the initiative to see her, and whom her parents have a pretty passionate disliking for) were going to get back together, first it was two weeks if they still had feelings for each other, then it was next week, they got back together this past Wednesday. I know I can treat her better, I know I can take better care of her, I know he's going to break her heart again... As if planning when they were going to get back together isn't bad enough they sent nudes to each other the day before they actually got back together. It pisses me off so much. They want to do stuff together now, not sex, but just about as close to it as you can get and it just, it's tearing me apart. This song is a perfect description of how I feel. The worst part in it all is this is all her idea. It's not him. I can help him, I am a guy so I know how they work, I thought he was gonna pull a slam and scram and leave her devastated and then I could swoop in and play the good guy role... Idk if they'll last but.. Lord...
I just want my Ash back... I want something real, I want something better.. I want something different than whatever the hell it was before, I'm okay with starting at square one again, hell I'd prefer it. But. Christ... Shes not a slut for anyone who's wondering. Idfk what the hell has gotten into her. I spent all morning trying to convince her someone would get hurt, and that if anything came out she'd fucking regret those decisions.. And I know it, I went through that before, I know what it's like to have all your secrets and personal intimate interactions exposed and spewed around to everyone you know. I just want to protect her even though shes not mine to protect. I'd cross the ends of the earth for her, but as far as shes concerned... I'm hardly even a friend.
Before you go commenting I need to move on, trust me, I know. I've tried, I've tried a lot. I've tried occupying my time, getting busy, taking my mind off of it but god damn it it just keeps coming back, it just doesn't work that way for me as much as I want it to. I know maybe I'm not as muscley or carming, fuck, whatever it is her ex, Nathan, has that I don't... But shit I love her. And idk about him but I would take a bullet for her. I'd do anything for her. I'm not sure Nathan can say the same, but then again, I don't know him that well. And Ash, if you ever read this which I highly highly highly doubt, you are the most important person in the world to me. I would seriously die for you. I don't really have anyone else there for me. You are my better half, you always have been and you will probably continue to be. I wish you could open your eyes and realize you're making a mistake. I know you're happy and that's great but... This is only going to cause you so much more pain in the long run. I really just.. I want you back.. I want to fix anything I broke.. You still own my heart..
Sorry for the complainy whiney story good viewers of the youtubes and music enthusiasts. Read that wall of text or not that's been my past week... This song is a good representation of that.. Sorry for the bother, I'll take my leave..

I wouldn't deal with that if I had the heart to remove her as a friend and block her... But I just can't bring myself to do it. Campfires, sleepovers, slip n slides, hide n seek, weekend movies, and real friendships. Then on to first cars, girlfriends, and bits and pieces of REAL life that kids these days will never know.
I was 17yo when I was shopping at Hollister with my gf and they had this song playing. It was the first time I've ever heard it. She knew right away that I loved it by the way I was holding her even closer to me. When we got to the car she told me to stay right there as she had to run back to a store real quick. She went in and bought this CD for me. I'm 36 years old now and married to this women. As for the CD, sadly it got too scratched up to play, but we still both love this song. Just a great memory, to me, that I thought I'd share. Good day, everyone.

My 1965 (yellow) mustang was used in this music video. My older brother woke me up late the night before the shoot saying a "muscle car" was needed for a music video the next day. The both of us were washing and detailing at midnight to drive down to LA for a 6am call. Was a little bummed when the production said I had to remove the tint because the steamed up windows weren't coming through on camera. I removed the driver side tint for the shot, got paid to re-tint the whole thing. 👍 Wish more of the car was seen but no complaints for what they shelled out for me to basically sit around all day with free food (basically a week's pay at my retail job).

What a great video! This is back when music videos actually had concepts! Not like today where it’s just the band performance on some cheap set.
