I’ll forever support the hellcat because not only I fell in love with it once I bought it but it saved my life and now me and that gun will have a bond like no other
Got this Hellcat Pro for my wife (she’s on the smaller side) and she absolutely loved it! 500 rounds so far with no issues. Cheers from CA, worst state for gun owners ever.
I just rented a Hellcat Pro at the range on the 4th it ate rounds beautifully groupings were good at 25 yards which overall it’s a great gun I had no problems with accuracy!! And you can’t compare it to a another gun that’s twice as much that’s a tad bit rich
Funny, I've only been shooting for a few years. The first time I picked up the Hellcat my accuracy went up considerably right away. I think it's because it seemed to fit in my hand so well. I bought it right away.
Because of you I bought the hellcat pro and it was one of the best decisions ever. I carry it every day.. I have many guns but this by far is just the right in size, capacity, accuracy and weight. I added the holosun sights and is even better. Thank you 🇺🇸🇺🇸💥💥💯💯🍺🍺😎😎
I absolutely LOOOVE this gun. I've got the 43x and the p365 and I would grab this over both of those but everybody's different 🤷♂️ I actually had to buy two because my girlfriend didn't want to carry her 43x anymore once she started shooting the Hellcat
Great review! Thanks. I honestly enjoy my Hellcat. It is snappy but if you put in the work then it becomes second nature like anything else. I love my Glocks, I love my smith and wessons, I love my sigs and I can’t lie, I love my Springfield armory firearms as well.
I want to go with the Sig, but the highlighted u-notch rear sight on the Hellcat makes it so much easier to aim quickly. I've just always had a problem focusing with blacked out or 2 dot rear sights. The hellcat overcomes that issue with the highlighted u-notch rear. A person can adapt to a heavy and long trigger pull, but if they can't focus when they aim, the system is useless. I'm thanking Springfield for helping me acquire my target quicker and easier.
I am a women. I am not a skilled shooter like you guys. But I have had not had any issue shooting this gun. Accuracy is excellent. No issue with anything at all.
Any time his wife was missing was low left. It’s definitely shooter error on her account. I’m not trying to offend but she also limp wrists in a lot of the videos I’ve seen where she shoots. It’s a great multi-tool gun. It’s not the best at anything but good at everything.
Been thinking about getting this for my mom. Right now she has a 6 shooter S&W and she loves that firearm. How is the recoil? Do you have a hard time pulling the slide back? On my Walter PPQ she has a hard time pulling the slide back. Thanks!
@@MrReddog1970 I tried the gun at the store today, and I could easily rack it; no problem. Of course I could tell it was oiled up real nice. I have more of a problem holding on 9mm recoil management than I did racking this one. So, if a gal doesn't have the strength or the gun is too hard to rack, it might be too much to hold during recoil - my experience - good luck!
He didn’t like the accuracy, attributing that, “possibly” to his “big old bear paws”… My hands are huge, I’m a double distinguished marksman, long range NRA certified High Master, and for the first time in 28 years… I have a new, hands down, absolute FAVORITE 9mm handgun. Mine (Hellcat Pro) is stupid f’ng SCARY accurate!!! Extremely compatible with my shooting style. To his credit, he admitted to possible “shooter bias”. All boils down to what gels with your “vibe” as he also admitted. If YOU try it, and like it, buy it. You will not regret it.

Waiting for mine to come in also with all the same features. Lucky for me my friend has a FFL and got mine for $502.( Dealer price) Use the difference to buy 350 rounds of different ammo to break in. Enjoy the gun
Crazy how people shoot different pistols differently. I’m more accurate with this hellcat pro that I’ve had for a month than I am my Glock 19s I’ve had for over a decade.
I literally could insert most modern quality firearms into your sentence and I would be more accurate with them than with my Glocks I've been shooting since the 90's.
I havent shot the pro yet, but that's how I felt about the original hellcat. I was able to hit a 1.25" group at 20 yards first time ever touching the gun
Try a Gen 5 19. They shoot way better for me than the earlier gens. I shot the pro as a rental and accuracy and snappiness just let me cold. Glock 43x and Shield plus shoot the best for me in this segment. 365XL ain’t bad but the trigger is mushy and kinda unpredictable for accuracy for me.
Just finally got my hellcat pro. Have the original hellcat but it isn't optics ready and wanted a red dot. Threw a crimson trace micro rad pro on it and have shot 300 rounds through it today. Great shooter running well. Love the hellcat pro. It's a mix between my original hellcat and my glock 19.
I’ve had my Hellcat Pro for 6 months now. I’ve got around 1,500 rounds through it so far. No malfunctions yet. I’ve been carrying it every single day since I got my holster. It’s more comfortable than my Glock 48, I carried for a little over a year. It took me around 750 rounds until I got used to it.
@@Who_am_I_to_judge1overall, any micro compact is going to be some type of snappy. The Hellcat Pro handles better than my Taurus G2C. They’re similar in size. I get a better grip on my hellcat pro, so I’m able to handle the recoil better. It handles similarly to my Glock 48. If that helps
Not long after it was introduced, I shot both the Hellcat Pro & the original Sig P365. I chose the Hellcat hands down, it's still my EDC. I can't explain it. I just shoot it better. I have since shot the P365 XL and Macro and my feelings have not changed. So as most enthusiasts already know, it all comes down to personal preference and obviously you should always test out a few options before just jumping into a firearm purchase.
I absolutely love my Hellcat Pro. Having said that, I wholeheartedly agree that the trigger leaves a lot to be designed. Thankfully they are now a few companies out there making some decent trigger tips then I will be adding to my Hellcat Pro. I threw on a tlr7 sub and a 407k and it shoots great. I think the little bit of extra added weight from the light out front mitigates the muzzle flip a little bit. But I'm really anxious to get that powder River precision trigger kit installed.
Got my Pro in a trade came with the MCarbo all in one pro performance bundle, upgraded flat face trigger and titanium striker set up. Feels so much better its awesome.
I particularly appreciate Ms. Outlaw's views, for several reasons: she has extensive shooting experience, but closer to the average Joe's compared to Mr Outlaw; her hands are smaller so modern gun ergonomics are more accommodating to her rather than to Mr Outlaw; and of course, she's a charming lady. In short, despite being a grown man, I cherish her inputs and would like to hear more from her. Again, thank you both for the best channel on the subject matter. It must take a lot of time, effort and resources.
Agree 100% with this review. I rented a hellcat and recoil seemed heavy, trigger seemed a bit gritty and heavy (not bad) overall. Enjoyed the shield plus a lot better so that’s what I went with. We are lucky enough to have access to such good carry guns. Truly in the golden age. Bless capitalism and the competition it brings for bringing us such great guns.
Interesting. I had the opposite feelings for the shield vs. the Hellcat. The shield felt so blocky and clunky and didn't feel good in the hands compared to the Hellcat. Different strokes for different folks always
Personally, I carry a P365x or a glock 43x BUT that Hellcat Pro I shot was excellent, EXCEPT the trigger could be about 1lb lighter. My friend has one, it has never jammed on factory or reloads. I really like it being thin so it carries real well. The stippling is better than any factory glock out there. The one my friend has gun is accurate enough. I personally like the sights better on the hellcat over the P365 or any factory glock. Thanks for the video.
Just picked one up with the gear up package. Veridian green dot and 5 mags. Great deal at 5 and a half. I was shooting it great at the range today. Very happy with the purchase 👍
I just picked up my hellcat pro this week. After 500 rounds I can easily say I am WAY more comfortable and accurate with this than any of my other handguns. Traded in my p365 and my XD 9mm and my 9mm ez shield for this one.... sooooo happy I swapped this thing is a bad ass!
@homeostasis4me485 yes you know how cash and bartering work right? I have no need for the 2 guns I don't like.. I trade for a gun I do like and end up with .... yup cash in my pocket!
An alternate view. I’ve tried glocks and sigs and don’t like them at all. The hellcat pro fits great in my hands and shoots well. I also really like the sights. Trigger, a little mushy but not terrible. Certainly not a CZ p10 trigger or aftermarket trigger. It’s the first carry gun I’ve owned that I sometimes forget I’m carrying it. As he said, if it works for you, go get
A friend of mine talked me into buying the CZ TP9 Sub Compact, It shot well but it was cumbersome to carry, very thick slide with ambidextrous slide locks/releases also snagged up in the holster. I traded it in for the Hellcat FDE which I wanted to buy when it first came out but I didn't want to spend what the dealer was asking for it. I loved how the Hellcat fit in my hands, just perfect! Close to the Taurus TX22. When my friend visited from out of town, he checked out the Hellcat and he said he was going to try and trade in his Canik. He has the Hellcat now.
Very interesting. My experience with the Hellcat Pro was pretty much exactly opposite what you've experienced. I tested a number of carry guns like the P365, Equalizer, 43X, and I easily shot the Hellcat Pro best of all. I'll grant ya that the trigger ain't great and I felt it was snappier than the others, but in my hands, the Hellcat did absolutely awesome. Interesting, guess it goes to show ya how personal a choice it is to pick a handgun.
that's hilarious because i'm looking at buying my first gun, and want something to conceal. Went to a range where i got to try all (ruger, sig 365,shield plus etc) and this is the gun that i can put on the target most accurately and frequently. By far the one i liked the most, specially those sights. I get it if you're used to something and not liking, but from an impartial opinion this was the better one by far. My nephew felt the same way.
Been carrying my hellcat OSP with a rds for about two years now and love it, not sure if I'll replace my G19 with the Pro but this video sure makes it compelling.
Love the honesty, i love my hellcat micro and pro, hit center mass shot after shot, used my friends glock and was all over, just comes down to shooter comfortability, i have big hands, bought the 13rd mags feels great! As long as we all love guns who cares what we shoot, as long as we band together and don't let anyone take our guns away, so we can continue with the friendly ribs 👍🏾💯 stay safe yall
I just got the hellcat pro today. I was trying to talk my wife into the p365xl but she held the g2c and liked the feel of it. I’m not a fan of taurus but I’ve watched several reviews and it seems to be a decent carry gun and fits her had great.
The G2C is one of those guns that you can't say are bad. Experts, new users all agree it's just decent and does the job. Are there better, yes, but bang for buck and under $300 at pawn stores, can't beat it. I've daily carried one for a year with an in waist holster, and being a skinny guy, can't tell. Put on optic on it and flashlight on it for fun, no complaints, great little gun, especially if she already liked how it fit
The Hellcat Pro , I got more or less the same results ! 3,552 rounds later ,really dirty ! Only oil - up ,and dry - up she was ready for another round ! She did get a bit hot around the barrel , but continued to perform rather well ! All and all ,pretty good for the price ! Peace ! 😎👍✌
@@HeadShotPR I would recommend always putting some gun grease/white lithium grease (or atleast oil) on the slide rails before shooting a new pistol. I didnt think to when I first shot my m2.0 compact, and it quickly chewed the black armornite? coating off the rails. But I use grease cause it works much better/lasts longer for protecting & lubricating high-friction areas, like where the slide meets the frame.👍
Got to say, on a different video, you recommended it to me, and it’s been great. I can hit from anywhere. It’s been over a year and I have zero regrets.
I'm surprised you didn't outright hate it like you usually do with Springfield firearms. I'm definitely interested in a Hellcat, just need to shoot one. Once again thank you for your honest take on it and looking forward to more. You're one of a 2-3 channels I trust when considering a firearm. Have fun and stay safe!
Only bought my hellcat pro because it was 250$ at a local shop but it is my every day carry now. It’s one of the guns i trust to function like i do my 870 rem.
I got a "Lock Leather" holster from Urban Carry for my Hellcat Pro. The holster was very tight at first but they provide a bag to put the gun in and then in the holster. Loosened the lock all the way. A week later it was beginning to shape. I also used mink oil on the outside of the holster and after a month the gun fits.
Had a 3rd gen Glock19 which was my edc for years, bought a Springfield Hellcat liked size/capacity, but few months ago picked up a Sig p365xl Spectre Comp that is my new edc absolutely love it! 👍🏼
Didn't like the Hellcat over my P365, but this Hellcat Pro, the feel was great in my hand. So i bought it, and ran it this week!!! Awesome Fireram, was hit steel at 100yrds!!! Mag Dumps Flawless, not a single jam!!!
I’ve had the pleasure of shooting a lot and I mean a lot of various rifles and handguns, never been a big springfield fan, that being said I purchased this gun today I’m going to give it a chance, the look and feel is great, the options are great for the price, milled slide for a red dot, tritium front sight, 15 round capacity.
Bought one last weekend. Note for those looking to buy hellcat or the Pro, Springfield has the gear up promo going so you get 3 additional factory mags and a range bag at no additional cost. Takes like 8 weeks for them to ship the promo goods but hey, its free. I like the grip size and ergonomics despite my XXL glove size. Obviuosly, the overall size considering the capacity is great as well. It is snappy but let's be honest, splitting hairs there. If your are buying a micro or microish 9mm it's time get over its like shooting a .40 cal. Nobody had issues with a .40 cal when it was all the rage. Generalizing there of course. Okay, jumping off my soap box. The trigger was a big change for me as i have been carrying Ruger SR9 for years. The trigger on that thing is insanely good and i am glad it has a thumb safety for how light the pull is. Honestly, it was between the Pro and the Shield Plus. For what ever reason the Pro just felt better in my hand. Also the cool factor weighed in for me a bit as I like the look of the Pro more. Like anything else, train with it and things will fall into place. Definitely looking forward to training up with the Pro to make it my everyday carry. Really enjoy your reviews. Keep up the good work!
Slipnslide. You are incorrect. I entered my serial number on the springfield website on the promotion page and it was approved. Got a confirmstion email drom springfield and notice that it takes 8 to 12 weeks to ship. The Pro Model is included in the promotion.
Not at all a professional, but tried out the Hellcat OSP and Hellcat Pro while at the range. Stacked them up against my mainstay, the Canik TP9 Elite SC, an M&P Shield, and Taurus G3C. Annnd...despite actively wanting to like the things, since they look good and are way slimmer than the SC: The Cats came in last. The OSP was surprisingly accurate. Nailed my first few shots. Then promptly set it down. These things are snappy AF. Like, unpleasant. Even the Pro, which I flat out didn't understand. Shield was a good deal less so, but for some reason, was harder to get shots where I was aiming. My Canik and the Taurus were a hell of a lot more workable. YMMV, obviously.
I really like this gun. I have a problem with guns with thick grips because my hands are very small. The weight for me is good because I apprendix carry. My only complaint is the trigger. If this had a trigger like the Canik TP9 which I previously had I would be able to say I love it.
Just got back from the local range. They didnt have a hellcat to rent. I did shoot a p365xl and shield plus. Both didnt feel good in my hand. The p365xl left a ringing sensation on my trigger finger and palm. Same with my brother. They did have a hellcat pro for sale. I didnt get to shoot it but it feels way better in my hand than the p365xl and shield plus.
Thats crazy, I just got the pro for my wife and she isnt even strong enough to pull the trigger. I shoot it extremely well and i just love the size and capacity
Picked one up last week and put a 507k on it. About 500 rounds through it and the more I shoot it the more I don’t like it! My dislikes match up exactly with yours, which is funny considering I just complained to a coworker about the trigger and accuracy yesterday then you come out with this video. Great (and honest) content right here! Keep up the hard work 👍🏼
One of the best micro compact weapons I have ever shot...then they made the Pro...easily the best recommendation...and it takes 2 clips to learn how it fires...the Pro is so stellar I went from the OG Hellcat to the Pro
The pro looks pretty appealing although since I have a P365 and a P365XL I feel like I’m set. I can shoot them so well despite being small. Sig did a good thing with them even though I’m not too happy about the consumer being their guinea pigs for first run issues. I’ve got about 1000 rounds on the 365 and about 600 on the XL. No failures of any kind with various cheap ammo up to testing ammo i actually carry.
While I understand that Springfield entered the compact market with the Hellcat Pro, I think they had done that indirectly with the RDP. The RDP in my opinion is the better option of the two because; 1. It's 3.8 with the comp. 2. Can be reduced to 3.1-3 if you remove the comp and cap it 3. Threaded barrel (for those of us that have love for the suppressor) 4. Can provide the same 15 round capacity with the new mags, which also help reduce recoil I own the Hellcat, the RDP and have shot the Pro, and I'd have to settle on the RDP - flexibility along with better accuracy (for me personally). Between the comp and the extended mag grip on the 15, the recoil is still there, but groups are much better and follow up speed with accuracy is quite effective. Great video and love the honesty/reviews - keep up the great work! One of my favorite channels for gun reviews without all the political BS and vendor fanfare.
That’s what I was thinking. I only have a regular hellcat at the moment, but I was just thinking “why don’t people just buy the RDP.” Also, I’m not sure if most people know that there is a 15 round mag out for it?
If this gun came out before the glock 48 it would definitely be my choice. Basically the same size and 15+1 out of the box. Now a year+ later and 1500 rounds through my g48 with the s15 mags I 100% trust it with my life. Definitely would’ve chose this if it was out at the time. Springfield knocked it out of the park with the hellcat series.
@@marlu6373 I have both G43x and G48 but for me the Hellcat Pro is MUCH BETTER! Much better trigger, better grip, better sights and gold more rounds than G48.
I did the same thing as you. Actually on my second 48 already. I sold an original silver slide and went with a 48MOS. To get the gun to the same level as Pro from the box, it cost me an additional $200. 2, S15 mags, metal mag release, talon pro grips, and better sights. Since I went "all in" ad an additional 2, S15 mags, Ghost connector, and a TLR7 sub, and you are at over $1000.
The P365’s trigger is forward in the trigger guard, and stops roughly half way. The Hellcat’s trigger travels to the rear of the trigger guard. A longer pull, obviously, can hamper accuracy, but I also think that a very short trigger-reach causes people with large hands and/or long fingers to pull shots. I love the trigger on the P365XL. The way it stops (physically in the middle of the trigger guard) reminds me of the VP9, and I’m very accurate with both pistols.
I am with you 100%. They keep trying to manufacture guns that fit people with short trigger reach, causing your finger to wrap around the trigger when the trigger breaks so far back. People with large hands get the short end of the stick. Hickok 45 talks about that, and made me aware of it. I love the triggers on the P-365s, mostly the flat triggers. They stop at a vertical point, in middle of trigger guard and forward of the grip.
@@BullseyeHTXyea some folks can’t shoot…he talking bout travel Wtf uses it u shoot and get back to the wall during recoil…they don’t train so they lost…control the gun the gun don’t control u 💀
Liked the feel of this better than the SW shield plus but it was still a little thin I did like that it had a rail and seems like a good all around gun for carry and home if it fits your needs
Newb gun owner here...I don't like the way the world is going right now so I decided to get into it. Started with a Remington 870 12 gauge pump. I like it and hopefully all you have to do is let that pump action sound through your house if you have an intruder to get them to leave. (I have a young son so I changed my views on guns in the house to keep us safe). Picked up a Glock 43X recently but haven't shot it yet. Also, from advice from my Marine buddy he suggested the Hellcat. It's his go to EDC and swears by it. So I ordered the Hellcat Pro with red dot and I'll be picking it up in a few days. They just recently came out with a bigger clip so mine is coming with a 15 round clip AND a 17 round clip! The more the merrier! I hope it shoots as well for me as it has for some of you all that I've read commenting on about it.
I love your honest criticism. I have yet to go to a micro 9. I regularly carry a G17/4 or a G19/4 (Love my G17 the best). However I will be 72 shortly and the weight factor, that might need to be looked into, The Hellcat Pro or G43X/48, or Sig P365XL, might just wind up being my EDC. THX for the great review!
I have the hellcat and I can see why some people don't like it. It is a snappy pistol. But with standard pressure ammo and a couple range trips I've gotten used to it. Just put in an apex trigger and it feels much improved over the stock 7-8 pound trigger that came on mine.
@@DesertTactical Yes just shot it today and it is nice. Still a bit mushy but it's a defensive gun not a target pistol. Made shooting fast alot easier than with the stock trigger.
Nobody will probably see this comment but from my experience carrying the hellcat pro, it's extremely accurate, dead reliable, is very light and carries very comfortably. The trigger on mine is about 5.5lbs which is perfect for a concealed carry but apex makes a lighter trigger if you'd rather have that. I only have one issue with the Pro, it's quite snappy and has a lot of muzzle flip. Probably because of how light it is, but even with a full grip it's quite snappy and definitely needs some practice if you want to slam follow-up shots on top of eachother, you really have to focus on grip and get high up on that sucker to manage it. I got my mom a 43x and after shooting the Pro for a while the 43x felt like a damn laser beam, so it'll definitely make you a better shooter if you can tame the Pro. I added some talon grip tape to the front of the trigger guard and it helped a lot with my grip. But overall I love this gun and it's very nice to carry.
Agreed. I recently bought the regular Hellcat version specifically for conceal carry in Cal. Very few of the comments mention the primary reason for this gun is to conceal well.
@kevinodlozil7073 I've spent more time shooting my HCP and I put a hogue rubber grip on it and I feel like I'm pretty comfortable with how it shoots now. I enjoy it quite a bit.
@@thasiccone651 Not yet but kinda. The apex trigger for the original hellcat fits but apex has said not to use it in the pro until they finish testing.
Just an FYI the apex Hellcat trigger is not compatible with the Hellcat pro. Apex stated against this early on and I trust they have a reason as to why.
Great review, I know everyone is different, But I really love my Hellcat. I carried a Glock 19 for the longest, and that was probably the best carry gun till (and for some still is) recently. I wasn't as impressed with the Glock 43. The Sig 365 was there, but the price point just didn't justify it, out of the three firearms in this class, the Hellcat is the beast for me, don't really have a problem with the trigger. Awesome gun in my opinion. Again great review. Thanks.
Just bought this today, went in to get a Hellcat OSP or Hellcat RDP for something easy to conceal carry because my Glock 19 was just a pain in the ass to conceal where it was better off OWB instead, but dude showed me this hellcat pro OSP ready and night and day as far as how it feels in the hand since it's a little bigger. Going to have a range day with it and send 500 rounds down and see how it is, I know it won't be like my Glock but it's one sexy ass gun and conceals so nicely appendix carry, side or small of back.
Prefer my P365X. The trigger is unusually crisp (compared to other P365’s) and is the perfect balance of capacity, shoot ability and concealment. I love my P365XL as well.
I absolutely love my Sig Sauer P365X and since adding the Wilson Combat grip module it's even better! I run it with the Magguts kits and their much improved baseplates and I've got 14+1 capacity out of a fantastic pistol that's so easy to carry and conceal, plus it shoots great!
We tried a regular hellcat out while shopping with my wife for her cc gun. It was the 1 gun she took 2 or 3 shots with and noped out on. Went with a shield plus, couldn't be happier.
The absolute best thing a person who is a new shooter can do is go to a range and rent a bunch of guns that they are interested in. Compare how they feel in your hand with how well you shoot them (and how good they look). Ideally they should all be in the same "class" of handgun (i.e., full-size, compact, sub-compact, micro-compact) and you can make a decision from there. Aesthetics are always secondary to reliability, dexterity, accuracy and concealability when it comes to a CCW.
I carry the OG Hellcat OSP and G19 interchangeably. I do prefer the G19 and more so after, and likely due to, the heavy titanium recoil spring and the lighter 3.5lb connector. The Hellcat is just as reliable and I would trust it with my life. I must advise STRONGLY if you want to interchange carrying these two you MUST get a LOT of time with them on the range! The grip angle is slightly different but makes a HUGE difference in how it aims and how you control the recoil. The Hellcat trigger is much heavier and the wall is quite a hurdle compared to the G19.I love them both and they will be my forever old faithful's.
Great review, good information. This makes me feel a lot better about opting for a Mossberg Mc2sc instead, despite the lack of aftermarket support for that platform in comparison.
Very good reviewer, excellent communication, succinct and thorough. I rely on the Honest Outlaw in making choices and recommendations. Along with Paul Harrel of course.
Been binge watching micro 9’s for the last week. I have a compact 9 but need something to carry while I’m out walking. We live in greater Seattle area and as many know it has become a criminals haven here! All drugs are legal to possess and there are huge tent camps all around the city. Very scary environment in Seattle right now. Thanks for all the reviews Outlaw!
Just carry your compact 9 , I carry a Canik Combat Executive with a Holosun and compensator on it in Chicago and it doesnt print . Carry the biggest gun you can conceal man ! Especially if youre un a liberal shithole crime haven
@@FL-Kaiman definitely recommend the sig p938 if you're looking at the 1911 style micro pistol. I'd still recommend a polymer handgun over one due to the low capacity but they do shoot nice.
I started with a hellcat (small one) didn't like it, got a cz p-07, loved it but it was too big to conceal. Now I have a shield plus, which is great. I recommend going to a range and trying some out. Federal Way Discount Firearms has a good selection. There are probably some good ones farther north, but I haven't explored.
Appreciate the videos! Been watching them like crazy the last few days. My wife and I just got back from being in Germany the last 3 years and now we are out in North Dakota for about a year. Looking to pick up a conceal carry hand gun and your videos have helped a ton! Currently torn between the m&p 9mm 2.0, sig sauer P365 xl, and now the Springfield hellcat pro. I’ve shot the m&p which feels really good in my hands and I plan to get to the range to try out the 365 xl and the hellcat pro. The Sig feels the best in my hands but I’ve yet to shoot one to really see. Keep up the awesome videos they’ve helped a ton!
I got mine for $499 with 6 mags and a free range case. I'm not a good shooter but as long as I can get headshots at 10 yards I feel comfortable carrying it.
Have the original Hellcat myself (since they first came out)...love it; and have no use and/or want for the"Pro". Have the 13 & 11 round mags that came with it, plus bought a 15 round after market....every day carry---I have 40 rounds available. Train at 25 feet regularly, and (as said) this gun will shoot EVERYTHING. If you could put a primer and powder in a Vienna Sausage; the Hellcat will send it down range.
I purchased a Hellcat Pro, liked how it fit in my hands, liked the sights, but loaded it and laid it on my nightstand for 9 months and never shot it. It's for sale! I don't like the trigger and that's the main reason for selling it. 🙃 As soon as it sells, I'll replace it with one of these 3 pistols..... CZ P-10, Canik TP9 SF Elite or S&W M&P Compact 2.0. I'm struggling with which one to purchase. 🙄 Your reviews are awesome!!! 😎
Tried all the micro stagger stack 9s and was between the Hellcat and Shield plus. The shield plus grip is more rounded and they have some sweet deals out now.
Only here after shooting the hellcat pro today only put 50 rounds through since i was mainly their to shoot my 1911 10mm. But i absolutly love the feeling of the hellcat pro and am really wanting to make it my next purchase outside of a rifle hopefully
I think that’s a good assessment. I carry the Hellcat, but enjoy shooting my G19 so much more (probably for the same reasons you stated). I’m going to switch out the trigger and see if that helps, or I just need to switch over to the Sig
I have been a follower now for a while. I enjoy your content, as well as your wife's. I own a Glock 43x and this Hellcat. It seems that the 43x is easier to carry. The Hellcat is easier to shoot and find a target. Steel mags vs plastic. I think that if this handgun was made by anyone other than Springfield, you would really like it. I got that vibe. I purchased a few guns because of your reviews and been happy with my choices. Keep up the great work you two.
The size and design are perfect for tucking. I personally like the smaller handle just in case there happens to be a struggle for control with an assailant. It's not the answer to every problem at all but you can comfortably take her places that you can't a DEAGLE
I'm excited about this and the PSA micro dagger (if/when it ever comes out). Will say this looks hard to beat with a $100ish drop in trigger (there has to be some).
I purchased HC Pro two months ago. Right out of the box it shoots slightly to the left the further you aim starting at 7yards and farther. At first I thought it was my trigger pull that was the issue. But then I used a gun rest to have consistent aim. After taking a good amount of shots, taking my time, it consistently shot slightly left. What was the worse part was the inconsistency on the vertical spectrum. You could aim it at the same spot every time and the shoots would vary up and down the target. I was shooting 115 Grain Blazer Brass. I read up somewhere that the potential issue could be the slide does not fully move back in fire ready position. It slightly sticks out on the back and that causes the barrel to slight aim up.
After shooting two of my friends' Hellcats, I purchase a Hellcat OSP. It fits my medium sized hands well and shoots incredibly accurate and to point of aim out of the box. I also purchased the Springfield optional 15 round magazine which makes the height 4.78" as compared to the Hellcat Pro 4.8". Yes the barrel is shorter, but the grip is nearly identical with the 15 rounder. For deep concealment, I have the ability to use the 11 round magazine with the flat base plate, which drops the height to 4.0". I also upgraded the trigger with the M*Carbo setup. This is a dramatic trigger improvement. GIK patreon

Got this Hellcat Pro for my wife (she’s on the smaller side) and she absolutely loved it! 500 rounds so far with no issues. Cheers from CA, worst state for gun owners ever.
Pray you are able to leave one day🙏 just don't bring anti-freedom crap ideas with ya😄
Definitely better than new york. Hellcat pro is awesome in CA though
Sorry but now in Massachusetts we have the worst laws in the nation! Thank God for Democrat run States......LOL
My dad got one and I love it. Very comfortable in hand, perfect size for larger hands and the sights are awesome.
I just rented a Hellcat Pro at the range on the 4th it ate rounds beautifully groupings were good at 25 yards which overall it’s a great gun I had no problems with accuracy!! And you can’t compare it to a another gun that’s twice as much that’s a tad bit rich
I did the same! Rented the pro and was shooting better than my .40 which I've had for a a few years now. Beautiful firearm!
yeah, comparing a $600 gun to a $1200-$1800 gun isn't really a fair comparison
Especially considering it has a compensator lol

I love my hellcat pro! Have about 500 rounds through it and it's been flawless. I have med to small hands and it fits great. carry it every day.
Been carrying my Hellcat for 3 years. over a thousand flawless rounds through it, and I shoot really well with this gun. I love it.
Funny, I've only been shooting for a few years. The first time I picked up the Hellcat my accuracy went up considerably right away. I think it's because it seemed to fit in my hand so well. I bought it right away.
I had that same feel with the Sig 226 when they first came out. (I’m old). I hit the bullseye first shot. Just the right “feel”.
Because of you I bought the hellcat pro and it was one of the best decisions ever. I carry it every day.. I have many guns but this by far is just the right in size, capacity, accuracy and weight. I added the holosun sights and is even better. Thank you 🇺🇸🇺🇸💥💥💯💯🍺🍺😎😎
Which holosun did you put on it?
I absolutely LOOOVE this gun. I've got the 43x and the p365 and I would grab this over both of those but everybody's different 🤷♂️ I actually had to buy two because my girlfriend didn't want to carry her 43x anymore once she started shooting the Hellcat
Awesome!
Great review! Thanks. I honestly enjoy my Hellcat. It is snappy but if you put in the work then it becomes second nature like anything else. I love my Glocks, I love my smith and wessons, I love my sigs and I can’t lie, I love my Springfield armory firearms as well.
Yes we know you prefer the Glock 26 🤣
Bro prolly shoot hi-points
Best micro pistol for hot weather carry. It never jams and the grip does not grind off your skin like other brands.
Agree love the U notch rear sight I focus super fast. Just wish more companies gave it as an option.
The rear site on the hellcat is a game changer for sure
I am a women. I am not a skilled shooter like you guys. But I have had not had any issue shooting this gun. Accuracy is excellent. No issue with anything at all.
Any time his wife was missing was low left. It’s definitely shooter error on her account. I’m not trying to offend but she also limp wrists in a lot of the videos I’ve seen where she shoots. It’s a great multi-tool gun. It’s not the best at anything but good at everything.
How hard is the slide to pull back for a female shooter ? Is it smooth and easy or hard for female that’s not very strong ?
Been thinking about getting this for my mom. Right now she has a 6 shooter S&W and she loves that firearm.
How is the recoil? Do you have a hard time pulling the slide back?
On my Walter PPQ she has a hard time pulling the slide back.
Thanks!
I identify as a "women" as well. I used to be a woman. J/k, glad to hear that it worked out. ;)

Love the fact you take your time to speak the important things but not rushing!!
I was able to hit a 1.25" group at 20 yards first time ever touching the gun
hand size and how your fingers fit on a gun matters
Try a Gen 5 19. They shoot way better for me than the earlier gens. I shot the pro as a rental and accuracy and snappiness just let me cold. Glock 43x and Shield plus shoot the best for me in this segment. 365XL ain’t bad but the trigger is mushy and kinda unpredictable for accuracy for me.
Bro im the same fucking way. I can shoot my g3c amazing groups . Let me shoot my 19 i be all over the place
Is it snappy I’m looking into one and I was curious
So as most enthusiasts already know, it all comes down to personal preference and obviously you should always test out a few options before just jumping into a firearm purchase.
excited to try it out, just got it today with a range package, 5 mags, range pouch and a gun bag for $549 pretty sweet deal couldnt pass it up.
Check out the Apex trigger and spring set for ~$85. Brought my Hellcat Pro to life.

This gun is extremely RELIABLE. The trigger really breaks in nicely.
Yes, took about a 100 rounds then a good cleaning after and it has improved.
My RDP has atleast 500 rounds with no malfunctions yet. Although I didn't really like the trigger, probably because I was spoiled by the P10C
@Nathan-jh1ho Same. I don't think I've had one malfunction in my ladies' Hellcat or my Hellcat pro with hundreds upon hundreds of rounds.

Peace ! 😎👍✌
Did you oiled it or cleaned it straight out of the box?
@@HeadShotPR I didn’t but after my first range run I did
@@UrbanEnthusiast Nice, i'ma do 200 out of the box and then do some clean and oiling

Not at all a professional, but tried out the Hellcat OSP and Hellcat Pro while at the range. Stacked them up against my mainstay, the Canik TP9 Elite SC, an M&P Shield, and Taurus G3C.
Annnd...despite actively wanting to like the things, since they look good and are way slimmer than the SC:
The Cats came in last.

No rust?
While I understand that Springfield entered the compact market with the Hellcat Pro, I think they had done that indirectly with the RDP. The RDP in my opinion is the better option of the two because;
1. It's 3.8 with the comp.
2. Can be reduced to 3.1-3 if you remove the comp and cap it
3. Threaded barrel (for those of us that have love for the suppressor)
4. Can provide the same 15 round capacity with the new mags, which also help reduce recoil
I own the Hellcat, the RDP and have shot the Pro, and I'd have to settle on the RDP - flexibility along with better accuracy (for me personally).
Springfield knocked it out of the park with the hellcat series.
glock 48 way better
Springfield definitely knocked it out of the park by importing than trying to make their own
@@marlu6373 I have both G43x and G48 but for me the Hellcat Pro is MUCH BETTER! Much better trigger, better grip, better sights and gold more rounds than G48.

@@pollock56th yup but by now have so much invested in it you stick with it
The P365’s trigger is forward in the trigger guard, and stops roughly half way.
You shouldn’t slap the trigger either way, for accuracy stage the trigger then stay in the wall with the reset.
I love my Hellcat Pro. It's my daily carry. Very accurate for me. Trigger, grip, and sights for me is perfection. My Glocks now sit in safe.
I have the hellcat and I can see why some people don't like it. It is a snappy pistol. But with standard pressure ammo and a couple range trips I've gotten used to it. Just put in an apex trigger and it feels much improved over the stock 7-8 pound trigger that came on mine.
Exactly what I did to my Hellcat. That Apex trigger is awesome! Made it that much more enjoyable and saw improvement in my groupings.
Truck Talk was hitting steel at at least 100yrds, which sparked my interest.
I did not like the 365xl feel or trigger. The hellcat pro was a great fit and I ended up adding an apex trigger and I absolutely love it.
Are the apex triggers out for the pro already??
@@thasiccone651 they sure are
Apex triggers changed my life
@@thasiccone651 Not yet but kinda.
My Hellcat has chewed through all types of ammo, even some cheap steel case that caused my Beretta APX to jam several times.
Thats cool but when will you ever be carrying steel case for self defense ?
Same, my hellcat fired steel ammo that jammed my other 9mms
@@redeye8526 - Some folks like me practice with all sorts of ammo!
Love my Hellcat OSP, it too has over a thousand rounds through it and has been flawless.
@@scottamy6496 😀 Get a room. 😉
@@xurx2838 Sorry about that, I got a little carried away, but she's so damn sexy and fits oh so good!
I need to go to the range and try both models. I love 1911's, maybe I would love a flat trigger.
We tried a regular hellcat out while shopping with my wife for her cc gun. It was the 1 gun she took 2 or 3 shots with and noped out on. Went with a shield plus, couldn't be happier.
Your wife is handling other guns than any of those trust me
Anytime I’m interested into a new firearm I look at your videos. The reviews are real.
Mine is very very accurate. I was surprised at the results.
Thinking about upgrading from my kimber micro 9 to this just based on capacity and attachment options. Springfield always delivers
I had been trying to decide between a sig p938, kimber micro 9, and a Springfield 911. I went with the 911 but i cant find one anywhere at all!
@@ninemimesleft - Been leaning towards the Shield Plus! And I agree about going to the range. I did that when I got my compact. Thanks for the advice!
365 xl 👍
Oh lord. Why not Minot? 😂
I got mine for $499 with 6 mags and a free range case. I'm not a good shooter but as long as I can get headshots at 10 yards I feel comfortable carrying it.
Longer distances and you may have a problem convincing the jury of self defense. 😢
I'll stick with my regular Hellcat. Have springfield 15 round mags anyway. It's a great shooter. One of my EDC. Apex the trigger and it's perfect.
Samee!
Facts once u saw no light or optic on it u knew it wasn’t full dedication
I absolutely love my hellcat, has become my edc 🙏
Black Arch Holsters makes a light bearing holster for it. So I got that with the light it supports, the Wild 1, and a Holosun 507k. Very satisfied.
GIK patreon
I truly appreciate your reviews, please keep sharing what you know
I like the Hellcat Pro, I’ve put 800 rounds through it and it’s in my carry rotation.
You are the only person that says thanks to other’s money you can buy all the firearms you buy
