For those of you who don't get the joke from 1:31 to 1:53, Pikmin 1 has an exclusive feature that allows flower Pikmin that have died to occasionally reproduce using their petals. As you can see, there is an excess amount of sprouts next to the onions, implying that WhiteHawke lost lots of Pikmin during the battle with the Smokey Progg (the creature that came from the egg).

@@pikminfan6778 You can see around 1:30 the buildup before 1:50, where he is cracking the Smokey Progg egg. Pikmin 1 has a mechanic where battles that lose lots of Pikmin have a chance of leaving behind sprouts where the massacre occurred. There's a ton of sprouts in the landing site, implying that he lost a metric ton of Pikmin in the fight

No one sucks at this more than attackingTucans. He killed every blue Pikmin he had trying to get a ship piece.

I hate when the pikmin trip. And one time I tried the bomb rock thing and we stood too close to the fence, and all the pikmin I had with me died XD

Yeah, you'd think a shit ton of explosives would work at once but that's not how the game calculates bomb damage I guess.

I honestly found this game to be difficult -- I suppose if you have a strategy and all the locations memorized, you can get multiple parts very quickly, but I was never that good. I had to cheat and look up a player's guide on the ridiculously unfair final boss as well.
Here's hoping the third game is successful; the sound-bits though make me wish Nintendo would make a Star Fox game as well....it's unthinkable how their never was one during the entire Wii generation.

I don't know how many times I've thought that while I completed Pikmin 2 without losing any pikmins when I was a child.
Of course it was just a save reload, though.

Smokey progg will fuck you up no matter how good at this game you are. That black cloud around its body kills all kinds of pikmin instantly (even sprouts if I remember correctly)... and it makes a beeline for your landing site the moment it hatches. A ton of reborn pikmin at the landing site is generally a telling sign that somebody fought the smokey progg the previous day.
The Pikmin actually respawn where they died though, so because we saw him take it on at the egg site and not the landing site, it is a little harder to get. On one playthrough I found many sprouts where I battled Puffstool.
The Chicken Yodel is apparently how i learned Young Dumb XD

I had some stupid moments in Pikmin to.like one time all my yellow Pikmin died from water and then got squished by a wolly wog.
My pikmin was grabbed by an hermit crawmad then a bomb rock exploded causing it to kill the hermit crawmad then my pikmin went flying into the abyss

Here's what happened
If you don't know, Pikmin 1 *(and pikmin 1 only)* has a feature where whenever flower pikmin die *(and flower pikmin only)* they have a slight chance of respawning the next day. With the amount of pikmin deaths boosting up the chance. And seeing how there were A LOT of pikmin sprouts by the onion, I think you can draw out what happened when he faught the smokey progg...
