I had a lapse of judgement and watched the gildemander eat every pikmin i had and die from eating all the whites... I was down to the 1 blue pikmin that happened to carry something back to base. I'm never underestimating that thing again
@@Tozito911 The boss found in the Dopplegänger Den and Cavern for a King that has large chunks of gold on its back. It is a larger version of a gildemandwee and uses its tongue to attack. It also appears in olimar's shipwreck tale in the Hero's Hideaway level.

I only ever used the rewind feature once. I wanted my run to be full of consequences. Felt like Pikmin 2 tbh. Haven't lost this many Pikmin in a game in a long time. Kind of relieved it's harder than three.
tbf pikmin two had the same feature, just manually lol. Most kids just hit the reset, and it brings you to the start of the floor. This is just more convenient to use.
i played the game rewinding a lot of times because seeing a lot pikmins dying was cracking my heart, but at a certain point i stopped caring (like in the fifth zone) and got 314 deaths for the results lol i feel like the rewind option shouldn’t be there, too much players use it because they have the possibility to rewind and get all the pikmin that they lost.

Gosh, that purple and blue blimp boss (forgot the name of it), I didn’t take any chances when I encountered it, knew that if it shook off any pikmin they’d just go right into the abyss. Used a spicy spray just for it.
I think those are puffy blowhogs? I could be wrong though, but they're not that dangerous unless you've got the abyss nearby or an environmental hazard?
I just had oachi repeatedly die and respawn over and over again and sent him to single handededly kill the final emperor bulblax the pikmin devs are merciful most of the time but when they aren’t the create abominations that will wipe out all 100 of your pikmin in one wrong move
Encountering a pikmin that's new makes oatchi able to find it yellow and red can't be found in oatchi,s smell cuz it's already easy to get on the flowers
Just use one lightning item and a bitter spray, then charge all your pikmin at her. As long as you have enough Pikmin, she will run out of health before she gets a chance to move.
by the way, part of how I lost pikmin to the puffy blowhog was because i was genuinely wondering if it was like, a joke enemy, and the real boss would fall from the center of the room or something. i personally dont care much about losing pikmin either and this was a first playthrough no reset/rewind run so i just wanted to enjoy my time with the game

In the room with the conveyer belts and the Bouncy plattforms i wanted to release all pikmin and instead sent them forwards. 45 yellow pikmin fell to their death.
I remember an enemy once shook my pikmin off of them into the pit in one of the caves killing like 10 or 20 of them. It was early on so that was basically half of the pikmin i had.
A little tip for that Empress Bulblax fight, she only attacks when you attack, so you can very easily head to the back of her, get your attack off, and flee through the exit with no casualties.

I thought it was going to be easy like the last one you had to face…I had to restart my game like 3 times
I just wound up throwing bombrocks at it until it died, I was like "nope, not dealing with that.
I think that fight was a cool concept, but the arena was way too small
After a good few attempts I just left the cave, took a moment to collect some stuff in the overworld, then went back in with an army of 100 Rocks

Yeah I had a few resets to figure the best approach. A couple bombs then spicy spray rush. Instant kill, no loss.
I didn't want to cheese it with bombs so I reset a few more times than I would like to admit.
