Know theres only guys singing balads with girlie voices, and girls singing balads and trying to sound like divas... I think amanda really liked what she did, rock and roll songs with a lot of personality, and unique voice.. kind of american idol that you dont see all the time... Hope she keeps doing what she is good at!! And also waiting for her cd to come out! ill buy it in a second!! LOVER HER!

I'm sorry. I've watched American Idol since its inception - this is my favorite performance in the show's history. I feel fine that the show did not embrace her, she's awesome.
she's entertaining - likable, authentic. I don't pick her as the very top in this group but top 3 yes. Her performances are as entertaining as any though, upbeat, I like her

@santamara She was 11th. Since Idol, Amanda has started her own Label, Chile Records...made her first record, "Solidify" and just kicked off her 2010 tour. She wrote and arranged all the songs on her album...check it out on iTunes...It's GREAT!

Shouting has to do with pitch not tone, since Amanda was perfectly on pitch, SHE CAN'T BE SHOUTING. Her tone is rough and raw, if redrox mistakenly thinks this is shouting, he/she should check out Joplin, Armstrong, Tyler, Gray, Turner etc.
Shw was the most exciting performer on idol this season. The others all want to sing those high pitched ballads. They are so boring. All sound the same. Hope Amanda has a record coming out soon. Go Amanda Go, Love you, girl
Actually I liked this faster Rock version better as she created some new riffs and runs and powered her chorus lines better. It is actually a different sounding song the way she sang it ... I liked it better.
