Next Video Teaser - Radio Gaga by Queen - On Roland Synths

This is a quick preview of the next song I will be releasing a cover/re-construction of. I may also follow up with a tutorial video on the sound design and how I put it all together. When I first heard Radio Gaga by Queen I was a small boy, listening to it on vinyl through my parents hifi system. I was blown away by the synth sounds, it was so powerful and left a lasting impression that sparked my interest in synthesizers.
Now, 40 years later I have re-created this classic track using my Roland System 8 and Fantom 6, including vocoder with some Linndrum samples for that hypnotic beat. The original featured a Roland Jupiter 8, VP-330 vocoder and a Linndrum LM1. My System 8 in JP8 mode has done a pretty good job at replicating that rubbery Jupiter 8 bass riff, a secret to the sound also lies in a technique used in the mix which I will reveal in my upcoming tutorial.
