🤣...Having had one of these with the 510 tremolo I can attest for the tuning issue, UNTIL, I had a "professional" do a set up. 1.) Make sure the nut is cut properly! 2.) Use one of the lubricants out there for the nut! 3.) Staggered locking tuners and ditch the string trees!...4.) High Filter Tilt mod on the pickups....Other than that, not to be an a$$, sounds like a case of buyers remorse...For what it's worth, you'll miss playing on that neck!! 🤘✌️

Those are some good tips! But that would solve only 1 of 3 issues unfortunately. I looked at the coast for fixing everything and yeah it would be about the same if I got something different. But I will say that might be hooked on the tele style/shape 👀🤘🔥🔥🤘

@@mcchurch118 That being said, I would definitely check out some of the Tele shaped guitars that Schecter offers. And from what I've read/heard, the quality control Schecter has is much better than Charvel's. 🤘✌️

I also do not like the open cores, I think they’re very lack lustre aside from the neck pickup. I love the blacked out tele vibe, I’ve always wanted one of these but I could never find an opportunity. Just out of curiosity, what is that black LP style guitar on the wall mount? Just in front of the heafy 6?

Yeah I’m sure some people will love these pickups but not I. Oh it is something that will be revealed soon 🤐

I have the exact same guitar. I had tuning issues too. Once I removed those string trees it stays in tune fine.

I’ve heard of that, but I might try and upgrade them when I can. I did recently mod it and put the Fluff Fishman pickup in it 🤘🔥🔥🤘

I wonder if the reverse headstock contributes to the tuning issues. I would think having strings trees for the thicker strings would be an issue for tuning. Maybe roller string trees would help.

Maybe, I’ve heard a lot about replacing the string trees so I may do that when I get the chance 🤘🔥🔥🤘

I agree, volume knob and tuning stability are deal breakers for sure. Last thing I wnat to happen is feel like I got a good take only to realize the volum knob slowly turned down as the take went on.

For sure, or when you start riffing out and only to learn you were out of tune 😅. But I did decide to keep it, currently getting 2 or the 3 issues fixed and we will see what we can do about the pickup. I did email Fishman about it and what they recommend so we will see 🤘🔥🔥🤘

@@mcchurch118 It looks sick! Maybe play around with different boost pedals to see if you can get that oomph out of those pickups.

Man, at this price range an instrument should not be having issues like not staying in tune or weird button positions. Too bad because otherwise - the finish, the contouring, the neck, etc. - make for a GORGEOUS guitar.

how can this be a review...with all that distortion on the demo, it could of been any guitar and it would sound the same..no clean tones ?

Well a review is a reexamination of something, but stay tuned cause I am going to show the difference between the Modern and Open Core (it’s the shop right now getting a few upgrades)🤘🔥🔥🤘
