Great review. Just FYI, when the tone knob is pulled and it enables voice #3 ( all the single coil options), the toggle switch for voice 1&2 are disabled. You went through 1&2 with the tone knob engaged and there was no difference. Just wanted to point that out before people think there's 6 different tones within voice #3 alone. There isn't. Only 3 tones. I own this guitar before anyone says BS
Using the same guitar for multiple guitar parts, changing the amp rather than the guitar, is always the way to go because the intonation remains identical.
Glad to hear someone got one that wasn’t a mess. I had this exact model and it was horrible QC. Awful frets, terrible wiring.. Truly happy to see there were good ones out there
Man, very good review! I want to buy this guitar, it's on my short list and I keep an eye on every review I can find about it. Your review is great! It's genuine. Thank you!
One of my favorite guitars I own. I swapped a Ryan Fluff Bruce Fishman into the bridge. Kept the open core and put it in a Les Paul. The open core classics are probably Fishmans most well rounded pickups!
Great review, especially with the mix and tone demos. Definitely learning towards getting one myself! I only have one issue with this vid..... LIVERPOOL? C'mon man hahaa
I've come full circle with mine. Liked it at first then was gonna trade it in...but now love it for how versatile it is. Beautiful guitar and the smooth neck and body has spoiled me into never wanting to buy any sticky lacquer guitar again. I love my modified American Standard Strat but so wish its neck was roasted or caramelized like this charvel. Anyway this guitar is great for everything Metal to jazz and experimental and really everything in between. Only thing I'm still iffy about is the 12-16" neck but hey it's not a several thousand dollar custom so I can't cherry pick every detail. Overal Charvel's are amazing quality and specs. I'm thinking about trying a G&L for my next addition to the collection for similar reasons.
I have to admit I've gone back and forth, listed it for sale to see what else is out there, but every single time I pick it up I'm reminded of why I love it! :)
"Just take it bro, it's right there" I don't know why, I had to laugh at that. I'm gonna get me one of these. I'm just struggling between this and the Robin's egg. I have a black guitar already, but this looks so slick in black.
I own a Charvel joe duplantier the natural one with the Fortidude pickups from Dimarzio and I love their sound and the sound of passive pickups in general. Can you get a nice passive sounding voice out of these fishmans? How would you describe the output of the fishmans? Good review by the way, was the best one I have seen for this bad boy.
Thank you, man!! That model of the Joe Duplantier sig is killer, love the fortitude pickups, and I would put the sound of the open core fishmans to be very similar to the fortitude bridge definitely!
since Fender not only own Charvel-Jackson, they basically *revived* the company, i think it's fine to call it a Telecaster. the headstock might be upside-down but it's still a Tele head because it's a Fender guitar, made by Fender Mexico (THAT one is, once Charvels get past a certain price-point they are made by Fender Japan with the top tier Jacksons. the entry Jacksons are Chinese, the mid-tier Indonesia). it's a Fender. if a guitar manufactury can be judged by the *finest* instruments that they produce, then Fender Mexico is really Charvel Mexico. the worst MiM Charvel is better than the best MiM Player Fender. EDIT, i *think* the particular finish used is kinda supposed to wear faster so it starts to "relic" pretty quickly by design. it's a cool feature, if you like that sort of thing, but often it isn't made clear in the specs that's intentional. that particular guitar, in the black, i think would would look rather good as it starts to show through wood in places. it would reveal the simplistic beauty of the black/woodgrain colorway.
@@williewiss6944 Compared to the Wizard? I think it's a bit fuller on the sides so it feels closer to a Music Man style D. Though it feels super comfortable and great for fast playing!! All in all, I like it more! Thanks for the love man!!
O kadar gereksiz cocaphony yaptın ki , hiç bir tondan birşey anlamadık, kıyas yaparken humbucker - single, gain-normal geçiş yapsaydın anladık, metal göre ile gitar test edilmez. 👎👎👎

Oh that's sweet dude! I'd love to make a change for some covered fishman's and see how they stack up

Great review!! I liked the little absolomb groove at the 13:30 mark :)

I’m surprised how good that neck single coil sounds!

Thanks for watching!!
I put an EJM volume pot. "Love it!"and hipshot tuners on my rgd7521pb. That's all that was needed.
Love those clean tones. What were you playing through?

Love my style 2. Very underrated guitar. Has more in common with a DK24 than a Telecaster or a SoCal style 1. Amazing neck.
The neck is just amazing!
i hate the cut out in the pickguard. id take it off
How’s tuning stability with this model?
Great! I think the locking tuners help a lot.
How do YOU HONESTLY, like the neck against a ibanez wizard?
Neck IS ALWAYS FIRST! The bridge lay. Gibson is waaay to choked up.
