However, if a woman/man is toxic, and abusive a label or diagnose won't change a thing. This person should be left out of our lives. Impatience, is not a sign of narcissism, or npd. Exaggerated sense of self-worth, entitlement, hypocrisy, serial cheating (not all narcs will even cheat), manipulation, have multiple sources of supply (many different minions working for them), sometimes vanity, constant need to be in the spotlight etc.. are signs of NPD. You should make sure you choose a partner that is on the same page as you. Most women will want marriage at some point. But some women will not. If you’re not on the same page about something as serious as your futures together, then the relationship is doomed to fail from the start. It wouldn’t be fair to expect someone who wants to get married to let go of their dreams for a family and a stable relationship just because you do not necessarily want one. So simply pursue women that have the same intentions as you. That will break the cycle.

Most men don't seem to care about this but for me it's a huge turn-off.

Imo what you are saying was true for you, but in my experience it hasn't been that they wanted more progress, they wanted continuous effort and attention, Like it was in the first 6 months of the relationship (which hard to give continuously) but they want that just like you want sex to be how it was in the first 6 months of the relationship, but over time both of those things fade away.
