Now for the encouragement… well I hope at least… ever just struggling to be in a good mood? Like this morning I have been really fighting the urge to just be annoyed and frustrated with every. Little. Thing. I don’t know if I slept wrong, or if it was that spicy food last night haha or if I’m allowing the things I’m worried about to dictate how I feel. Probably all 3 lol anyways, I just wanted to open up about the value of resisting those negative thoughts. It doesn’t mean you have to go from EVERYTHING SUCKS to EVERYTHING IS AWESOME. It just means that you acknowledge that negative/frustrated spirit and you are fighting against it. We need to hold the line. Life is not all perfect and so there will be times when we have to dig our heels in and refuse to just submit to our feelings but submit to the word of God which says “This is the Day the Lord has made. REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT”. Psalm 118:24

also! I love what y’all said about callings!! Our purpose isn’t something we have to “find out” our purpose is to love the Lord and love His people! And our calling is just how He chooses us to do that! We have several callings at each stage of our life. We just have to focus on how to love Him and others better where we are right now. THIS is a calling!!

100% on how you share Jesus with an unbeliever; i made a good friend in sophomore year when i wasn't close to God, and then over lockdown with COVID i really got saved and went back to school for junior year and she noticed immediately the difference without me ever mentioning God to her, and i noticed how she started to become more interested in Christ and all, she stopped saying His name in vein, got a cross necklace for herself, etc. All i did was represent God as best i could and it affected her in that way :)

On the topic of “situationships”, my husband was in one shortly before we started dating, and I think the girl was completely unaware, but it was so weird because all their friends and family kinda acted like it was an awkward post-breakup situation. Meanwhile the “ex” had no idea, so it was nearly impossible to enforce boundaries that made any sense at that point. Everything eventually sorted itself out but it was a lot of anxiety and tears, so just a warning to everyone out there, a situationship has the power to be just as dramatic as an actual relationship, sometimes even more so because people aren’t on the same page about what’s going on.

If it feels like everyone around you seems to be getting what you are currently praying for, in this case, a pregnancy, then that means it’s happening near and around you and your hearing about it because it’s close to you and you are NEXT.
This is how I felt when I was in desperate need for a job and I was applying and getting rejected left right and Center and I didn’t give up and I was hearing people tell me their testimony of how they got their job, and they would share it in a groupchat and encourage us all. And then I suddenly got a job after surrendering my life to God. And so don’t be discouraged guys, I really do think you guys will get pregnant soon! Praise the Lord❤️🙌🏾 God is still using you guys! And your faith will never be in vain.

Weirdly, I grew up in a Bible-reading Christian home where we knew God made sex (as in the FIRST chapter of the Bible - how do people miss this?). Talking about sex was pretty easy at home, but I do remember some people at church thinking it was a bad word. Never really understood why.

Kudos to you Tori for meeting his love language by getting out of your cozy spot to serve him 🥰… I can relate! My advice to you, Chad, would be to return the favor especially once she has a little one… As a mother of five, I can attest to how amazing that would be to not have to get up while nursing a baby. Unfortunately bitterness can grow. Thank God for forgiveness and healing!

Fantastic advice on sharing the good news of Jesus - my amazing friend/ mentor spent months investing in me and my family in a volunteer role at a charity that helps young/ vulnerable families! I could see the difference in my friends life, how joyful she was and how much she enjoyed serving others! I eventually asked my friend about her faith, then she would pray with me, counsel me, support me and she had her prayer group praying for me. I’m so lucky to say that I now class these women as my family - they are holding me in prayer through one of the hardest seasons in my life so far!
