Y’all are really lovely, beautiful couple building together, adorable kids, animals interacting with each other as they roam in harmony. I look forward to every episode! ✊🏼❤️🇨🇦
I have been waiting to see this video!! This is so exciting!! I have been watching your progress since you bought the property. So happy to see those walls go up. Glad you made big windows! And great work on the driveway! Just amazing progress. Prayers that the roof rafter install goes smoothly! Thank you for sharing these videos!
I'm sure there are worry warts who will criticize, but I absolutely love seeing the boys on the construction site doing what they can. Keep it up even if someone shoots off their mouth.
man y'alls home is coming along nicely 💖 love the layout (& the stove) oh & I just wanted to add that I've been watching yall from the start & yall have come a long way & loving every second 🙂
Wow! It’s really coming together! You make it look easy! I loved the boys at the beginning! They are so cute! Yay for the gravel for the drive, too!! Can’t wait for the next installment!! Take care!!
We were there in framing summer of 2022. One day we had 7 in of rain. Standing water on our floor bc we didn't have a roof. We were so stressed out. We milled all our framing from trees on our land . It took months to get the wood and more months to dry it. Some of it got mold but vinegar kills it. We r now living in it. It's not finished but we r getting there. We have managed to stay morgage free but that means progress it slow. We do it as we have cash . People think we r nuts bc everyone wants what they want now. So do I but not w a morgage so I will be patient even when I hate it. It gonna be worth it . That ruff cut lumber is 100 xs better than the crap u get from Lowe's. What we milled is so hard u can barely get a nail in and that crap we bought is like hammering into a sponge it's so soft. Love your progress. Hi from Arkansas.
Amazing. Good for you and thank you so much for sharing! It is amazing the difference in quality of rough cut vs. nominal. I'm really coming to appreciate it
So much to love in this video 😍😍😍 The goats following you round was just everything 🤣 and wow .. how incredible it must feel to have those walls up and ya boys watching their home being built .. honestly this is beyond brilliant 😍😍❤️❤️ loved every second xxx
❤😊have been looking a ND waiting for your family, human and animals to turn up. So my morning coffee was very enjoyable. Congratulations on the progress, you are doing well. The boys are learning a lot and your setting a wonderful example for their future. Blessings. ❤😊
This is not a criticism at all. Been following y’all since the beginning, coming from someone very close to y’all (Presque Isle) you might want to raise those hay bales about to 3 feet above the ground. It gets very deep with snow and trying to dig them out during windy cold days is not fun at all! I have to do that with my wood burning fireplace. For wood, not hay….🤣 I lose the about 3 rows at the bottom every year due to the heights of the snow drifts that freeze the wood to the ground. Truly hope this helps you out. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us.
That's something that we honestly hadn't thought about. I figure we'll be snowblowing with the tractor to clear a path there for the tractor, that should help us get to it. Thanks for watching.
You guys have gotten so much work done. I haven't been getting notifications about your new videos, so I went looking for you and I am amazed at how much you have accomplished. Great job. 👍
You guys are awesome!! If I were younger, I would have done this in my lifetime. Good for you for all your hard work and self sustainability. We should all learn from people like you. Ty for sharing!! ❤
Looking great. When you patted your stomach and showed the gap thought you meant you didn't fit under there. Keep up the good work, winter is right around the corner
Impressed with all the framing you have done. As far as moving the stove…. Use you tractor pull the straps to put it into position not your backs! If you would hurt your back and be out of commission that can put you weeks behind in building. Work smarter not harder!
you guys are doing a great job! If you keep dragging that stove around soon you won't be needing those steps - you will be leaping into the house from the ground lol
Yes, yes, yes. Keep it simple so we can get nice long videos. Just put the camera out of the way, we see the children and the animals and the work in progress. Love the invention for moving the stove!! Patent that!! Also... you're not fat, you're a fluffy handful. Nice big windows for the views and natural light.
You guys are amazing so much done at this rate you guys will be snugs a bug in a rug 🥰 the road before winter is a big plus👍👍👍 I'm so happy for you guy's sending you love and light 🙏🙏🙏🙏💕💕💕💕🥰🥰🥰🥰 from your west coast 🇨🇦 friend. 🥰 you honey bugs are one mean building machine 😊 can't wait for the roof to be on here it's only 6 Celsius, 25th is supposed to be our first frost burrrrrr 😅 praying you guys have a late fall 🙏💕🥰
Glad to see you guys made alot of progress on the house and in the driveway enjoying your videos and the good sense of humor can't wait to see the the roof go up nice 😀 👍
So great to see the progress on your medium house. It is a lot of work, but so important. I am happy to see that you are able to get some road work done also. I am so excited for you, to see that your are installing a Wood Cook Stove. You will love it - Learning curve, but well work it. Except that it means years worth of making firewood every year. :)
WOW! You guys have been very busy..looking great, coming along nicely..think you will dried in by winter? ..obviously that is your goal..looking forward to being part of the progress 👍
Our cabin is made with rough cut pine too, love they way you two work together...what a nice couple you make, it's really looking great, cannot wait for your next video!
Being from the Pacific Northwest our haying season is pretty temperamental as well. you may find more farmers bailing haylage (big field marshmallows) in these times, might could be a good alternative for yer goats, I know cattle and sheep love it.
I see a lot of silage around here! And I didn't know what it was at first. I think I will be trying it in the future, but decided not to this year because (1) our tractor cannot lift that much weight to move it around, and (2) I was unsure if the pigs would learn there was food inside and prematurely destroy the wrapping before it was time to dole it out over the winter. I am very curious, though. Thanks for watching!
You've made great progress! Hooray! Glad you mentioned why you hadn't put all your 2x4's in because of the weight. So I won't get on you about the spacing.(However those brackets aren't really adequate for your stringers. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.)
There's a side door at the farthest point from the wood stove. Also 3 windows are big enough to be egress points, so far. We're also planning on a large one in the loft with one of those emergency ladders for the boys. Thanks for watching.
Y’all are really lovely, beautiful couple building together, adorable kids, animals interacting with each other as they roam in harmony. I look forward to every episode! ✊🏼❤️🇨🇦
Our home is made from rough cut lumber and it is heavy so I was holding my breath and mentally helping you lift those walls.😅

Wow, I know my back was hurting just watching you two erecting the framing on your new home. Kudos to you both! Driveway is looking mint!
Wow! It’s really coming together! You make it look easy! I loved the boys at the beginning! They are so cute! Yay for the gravel for the drive, too!! Can’t wait for the next installment!! Take care!!

Thank you so much! I'm so glad you enjoyed it
I see you have lots of fireweed! The flowers make great jelly for sometime in the future, when you have time for that sort of thing 😋
Stairs are a great idea.Us older people need them. Hi from Colorado Springs
Did you go to Palmer High School?

Thank you so much! We're chipping away at it, one day at a time
Big dude is looking 2lbs lighter in every clip. You're gonna be a beast by the time this cabin is done. Keep rocking.

Solid bridging should happen soon to keep those green studs from doing the twist. Thanks for the videos. They are truly bright moments!
Thanks for watching. We're planning on blocking when we put up the sheathing. That should be this week.
Y’all are making it look easy!! Now if we all just had a quarter of the boys energy we’d be good 😂
The view is amazing!!
you guys are doing a great job!
If you keep dragging that stove around soon you won't be needing those steps - you will be leaping into the house from the ground lol
Thank you so much! Hopefully it won't have to be moved too many more times, lol!
Very good job! So exciting to watch!
We moved our wood Cook stove with a floor jack.
Great to see your vision coming together. Blessings from Richmond, Virginia.
Thank you!

You guys are rocking it out! Great progress! Are you able to use the wind power from the previous owner for electricity?
Seems y'all have a lot on your hands!!

😊

It's amazing the difference in weight of rough cut spruce. That stuff is heavy!!! Thanks so much for watching!
How's the well doing?
Your getting the walls up you're ruining you're boys dance platform 😅😅😅
Lol!
Where's the back door? There should always be two exit points on a building. Fire codes.
There are two :) Dad's a firefighter. Would never let me build with just one, lol. Thanks for watching!
There's a side door at the farthest point from the wood stove. Also 3 windows are big enough to be egress points, so far. We're also planning on a large one in the loft with one of those emergency ladders for the boys. Thanks for watching.
Are you guys homeschooling your kids.
Yes! They are both in third grade :) Thanks for watching!
Why aren't you using RUclips as a resource to learn how to do things properly and to code???? This is too painful to watch!
