As an added attraction... I toss some cornmeal out. Lights, any white or green light works with white bass, crappie, skipjack, or bait fish in general. Those in turn will draw in the bigger predatory fish. Suspended lines, all night, for ALL. 😁 GET'EM, DAVE !
Some of the best Crappie fishing I ever had was under a bridge at night w/ lights in the water..... lol, the minnows/smaller fish will start circling around the lights & the bigger fish will move right in under them. We used cane poles & filled an ice chest UP doing this. You're a master class fisherman so I expect you'll be reeling them in soon. I'm here as a witness - thanks man
Nice one! I just made a trip to the Tennessee River last week and was burning them up right before dark at the Kentucky Dam. They were nailing the foley spoon.
Hey big Dave, been a little bit. . ill haven’t been able to watch you lately. I’m back show me some big ones. I know you can. You’re a beast like you shows a lot. Keep them coming. I’ll keep watching till I die.🎉😅
Ole Dave I bet there was some monster crappie down underneath that light this is just me, but I would have put a jig on and got some great big crappie Could’ve got a few because the fall and winter time they are great bait . Big blue cat prefer crappie a lot with these cooler waters. I am back quiet you stay safe up there.🛟
Does blue light work for this as well? I've got a couple blue LEDs I toss out at night bc I like how it lights up everything around me/enjoy the color it makes the water. However, people say green is better for attracting fish. Opinions?
Way to adapt to the specific fish your targeting. Try different things get different results. Always entertaining and great content. Thank you for your hustle and grind.
I had a very good day, caught some nice blues this AM on yellow bass and caught about 25 good size yellow bass for more bait on Loudon. Water temp 65ish
Hey Dave you know they ship eels around the country. I remember when you said it was the best cut bait you ever used. I'd like to see you use eels this time of year and see if it's still as good 👍 thank you
If you like deep-fried catfish you can't beat a flathead. That one you caught was an eater and 7-9 pounds is perfect. Cut the fillets up bite-size for "popcorn catfish." You will be glad you did. That was a really good channel cat for East Tennessee. It counts 100 percent. Nice one. Once again, thank you for taking us along. I always liked night fishing. Hardly any other boats.
If the bait comes to the light. Catfifish come to the bait. I used to flathead fihsh at thr edge of the light. Carching crappie and catfish same. Time. Just used white car headlight on end of broomstick. Sealed beam.
Bro, Do you like fish to eat, or a certain kind. My wife only likes Black Bass. I'm not that picky! 6 or 7 lb Bass filet cooked whole is awesome. Tia..
.squid lights..............we use them for night fishing for stripers........i drop the light about 10 ft under the boat ,the bait schools circle around the light then you flyline sardine or crawlers just a couple ft under the light and all bait tjat gathers.........a.nd you wack the stripers ..........in the ocean them lights attrack the squid and you dip net them......
Real fisherman could tell, thats your first time doing this at night. The experiment worked, good way to catch skips. And loose those big Christmas tree balls.😅
@CooperJones777 I said it was his first time trying to catch skipjack like this. You not being able to understand English is the dumbest thing ever. He's a great content creator.
I wouldn't say catching bait is half the fun. Yet it is. Thanks for taking us along, Dave.

You should have coordinated this video with Halloween! Title: The Green Goblin. 😂
Ha!
Seems like a pretty good way to catch skip jack...got some cats too.
Was wondering if you could use more than one hook on the line? Yes might tangle but might start a feeding frenzy. It works in the ocean
Hi Dave.. I have a single question. Do you take any stock on fishing during a full moon phase for Cats ? Curious what your thoughts may be.
Thank you
Funky grren light fishing lol
I am gonna have to try it!
Do you freeze the skipjack? Or refrigerated them?
Bait and kittys, yes it was a very good day.
What a great idea !
What cat rods are you using in this video?
Excellent idea

Use a cast net?
I don't like using a cast net
Nice job 👍
We use to catch crappie with a green light or any light as far as that goes.

You saying Catfish Dave isn't a real fishermen is the dumbest thing I've read since " Kamala is going to win the election."
