princess and the pauper is really good, but honestly the hype it gets does not match what i think about the movie, it's just another barbie movie, unlike barbie diaries or fashion fairytale
Back when i was younger, i would watch some of the movies on this tv channep which broadcasted them at times. I would wait for my mum ti get home while watching swan lake or princess of pegasus and liking those movies.... Another few of the movied i liked where barbie and the musketeers, barbie island princess, barbie's Christmas carol, the fairytopia trilogy, the OG barbie Mermaid tale and recent addiitions like barbie star adventure (i frogor💀 how its called), barbie and the dancing shoes, the dog adventure barbie movie thingy (forgor 💀 how its called again) and barbie spy squad...... (If i had the chance to, i would torture my young self for liking barbie video game adventure) . If you were lucky, Barbie and the Nutcracker, barbie Rapunzel, princess and the pauper or any other barbie movie would come on.
Here is my unpopular opinion: i would rank The Nutcracker, Princess And The Pauper, Diaries and Pony Tale as medicore or worse. • The Nutcracker is exceedingly ennuing despite the overabundance of action sequences. I felt like sleeping throughout it. I also do not care much for the characters, principally the nutcracker, whom everyone has a crush on, and the villian was rather forgettable to me, although i do appreciate that he manages to achieve the majority of his goals. I find them uninteresting. The story was decent enough though, and i think The ballet sections were astounding, so it's not a movie devoid of redeeming qualities. • Diaries is.... Diaries. It IS a horrendous movie to me. The motion capture animation simply does not suffices considering the budget in which they work for. The characters have an immensely exasperating way of communicating and are uncompelling. The story was generic, and I wasn't a fan of the antagonist. Racquel was... a high school bully and that is it. Also, did we actually require a high school Barbie movie full of high school cliches? I don't think so. • Pony Tale is again, so boring. It is packed full of horse girl cliches, and the villian is an utter joke. I cannot name any defining aspect of him. There is also a blonde, Harry Potter wannabe kid, who merely exists to whine and slip into the "UrM AckThUlLy" persona once. Bad character. I also don't think the plot was peculiar, although certainly not as horrendous as Diaries' was. • Princess And The Pauper is nothing special to me. It receives unmerited amounts of adoration due to the character that i dislike the most: Preminger. No, i am not fond of this character, i do not care that he is voiced by Martin Short, he switches tactics too often and is wholly unthreatening. I do like the scene which you've exhibited, in which the camera rotates around him while he is sprouting memorable facial expressions. I even generated a gif of that, but that's it. I also do not comprehend why Wolfy is pretending to be a dog. It did have some memorable scenes, but I wouldn't rank it as the "best thing in existence". But aside from these, i love all of the other Barbie films. The classic ones are 👌🏻 excellent movies with fun characters, soundtrack and stories. I particularly feelattachment towards villians. The newer Barbie movies are extremely generic and i detest to decision to put emphasis on modern technology, although there are some movies i adore, such as Secret Door. My favorite one overall is 12 Dancing Princesses. It is a gorgeous movie, the bad guy is among my favorite fictional characters, the musical score is beautifully composed, and the characters are spectacular. Nice story too. ❤️💜

The 2000s were a great time for Barbie. My favorite is always Princess & the Pauper. I like the idea of the movie being about 2 Barbies 🩷💙
