I like how some of these villains are just: "Yeah this guy is kind of a jerk." and others are. "And this one tried to overthrow the monarchy and seriously harmed people."

The most evil villains being the ones trying to take over the kingdom and the lesser evil ones are just mean ppl in the more modern Barbie stories lol
Poisoning seems to be common theme in the older barbie movies, also justice for Clive.
It was indeed one of the most popular killing method back then, since before the medical field expanded it was almost impossible to find out if someone was poisoned or not.

7:35 most Barbie movies when I watched them, I thought were fever dreams, but esp this movie. Like the most feverish dream I’ve ever had and it’s real??

I respect that fact that the princess being kidnapped couldn't be revealed earlier, given that the plot-twist would be expected, but I do wish Gothel's relationship with the king had been more fleshed out.

The first film she poisons all of Fairytopia, including her twin The Enchantress (Basically the Queen) and kidnaps the Guardians to steal their power for herself.
The second film she gives her minon (Max) a vial of poison that can choke all aquatic life to threaten the Prince of the Merpeople to reveal the location of a berry that can make her immune to all magic.
The third film has her try to destroy the first blush of spring dooming Fairytopia to 10 years of winter, (The clip you showed!) plunging them into an ice age.
The woman tried commit genocide on multiple occasions!
How is she only 14th!?
Yeah, Laverna is definitely Menace to Society tier. Dare I say, she's worse than Gothel.
Gothel just kidnapped a baby to spite the daddy cuz she didn't get picked.
Laverna nearly committed genocide on three separate occasions just to become fairy queen!

She wanted a berry that would make her all-powerful in the second but that was a missing steps plan since we never found out what she was intending to do with that power. And I'm pretty sure the first blush of spring was just revenge
@@toony1232 she wanted to be a powerful fairy queen on all three accounts. Putting her sister to sleep and then poisoning the fairies to then "help" them with a cure she just so happened to have to have them pick her for their leader cuz she was there and her sister conveniently wasn't.
Second movie, she wanted a berry that her all powerful, possibly to overthrow her sister.
Third movie, it only became revenge AFTER she got her sister to agree to step down, essentially it was a hostage plan that worked until she decided to kill the First Blush of Spring and Elena got involved.

5:07 The real villain is the cloud guy. He was tired to be alone so he create the virus instead of talking to the players or characters. Sure the virus is evil but won't exist if the cloud did nothing.
Villains likes poison in this universe; Caligo, Queen Rowenna, Queen Ariana. Henna the fairy. A useful method to kill your enemis and rule their kingdom 🙂

I couldn't agree more! I NEW who the top best villains were gonna be (who are also my favourites, especially Rothbart and Odile🥰) and notice how most of those "Who even is this?" villains were the modern Barbie villains because let's be honest they are 🤢🤮. 2nd think I noticed was how most good old villains had the same concept, to kill/overthrow the royals and some were just executed differently 😂😂😂❤❤
The royal villains should be stripped of their royal status, as punishment!

How is Constantine a 'who even is this' ? His name might be hard to remember but that movie was very much liked by me and my sister and he is one of the main cast

Thumbelina was my favorite Barbie animated movie, and Myron's anger just makes it better.
This might sound weird, but I appreciate the amount of poisoning, subtle and ruthless manipulation, and scapegoating being done by the nasty female villains
It's accurate to how women tend to 'take care' of things and people and I like that the Barbie franchise is not sugarcoating how nasty women actually act like. Sometimes I just re-watch some Barbie movies to watch some good female villains who also explicitly feel FEMALE in their villainy.

How is Gothel that high? How you describe doesn't even mention the actual reason why she was a menace to society (her evil action kept two kingdoms at a kinda cold war). I agree with someone else saying that Laverna was way higher in menace level

Let's not forget that Gothel is a master manipulator and a hypocrite. She claims she hates liars but has been lying to Rapunzel her whole life.

Dame Devin should be higher. She tried to murder the entire royal family, INCLUDING AN INFANT, and she did succeed in murdering Barbie's parents. Devin also manipulated and abused her daughter.
I also think the villain from the Three musketeers movie should have been higher on the list because he tried to kill his own cousin (who was a minor, might I add) MULTIPLE times.
PS. The villains in new Barbie movies all suck (obviously), but it's because nowadays, children's movies are made to be less scary, and they don't have such dark themes. Villains aren't murderers anymore but just mean people and the punishment for them is just a punch in the face, falling into a pile of poo or going to jail instead of dying or being turned to stone etc. Therefore, the new movies never stood a chance against the classic ones.
Most of the movies i watched until like dolphin magic and after that i just stopped. i prefer the older barbie movies. I dont even recongize the first one.
