I joined royal engineers,1960,aldershot was the base for the RE band .l became combat engineer Signed for six years.l used to play cornet as a kid in brass band.was introduced to captain of RE Band .he wanted me to sign for nine years! To take me on. Went on to have fabulous six years service ,Oman Yemen Brunei revolt, Dhofar region. Having listened to these modern day musicians, did l make the wrong move? All of you are a credit to the British military! See you in the next life.
