CBR 1000rr takes my cake. Been through early 2000s Ninja ZX10r, GSXR1000R, four CBR 1000rr's. The last being a heavily modified, custom 2004 CBR1000RR, with aftermarket cell tunable Phantom ECU chip, yoshi full exhaust, drop two up one, and a continued list of upgrades. I'd managed to bypass the factory 175mph regulator and speed sensor. On an open highway here in Missouri, (new hwy 21) in 2014, I managed to break the double hundoes level to 209 mph. Red lining combined with tunnel vision, my shrinking balls, and concern for both the bike, and my own lives, called for a let out. Factory, I preferred the CBR over the ZX10r, and GSXRs performance, agility, ease of control, and felt maneuverability.
9:54 look how wide the Kawasaki is, looks like a dam zx14! The Honda looks like a 250 in comparison, The Suzuki is rite in the middle. My pick for sure!
I remember sitting on a 2016 zx10 a few months ago and it did feel very wide, even in comparison to the competition. To be honest that's the only thing I don't like about it. When you're not sitting on it though everything about it really looks stunning in my opinion.
The zx10r is the same width as the last model zx10r that didnt appear wide. The difference is the nosecone shape is wider for more wind protection. Doesnt work that well though as i find them just as windy lol. S1000rr is better than all 3 but not as pretty
+gsxrkz ...for sure the K5 was another game changer in 2005 but I was thinking more about the original bike that started sports bikes right back in the day, the 1985 GSXR750 & the GSXR1100 in 1986 .. Ball's out & give it the berries they were so far ahead of their time. GSXRS were the seeds planted back then for how modern sport bikes have morphed into the current missiles today.
+Space Jockey Who was talking about lire bikes? We were talking about the start of modern sport bikes in general, and you are a long way out with the R1 because Yamaha brought out the FZR1000 way back in 1988.
Who was talking about 'litre bikes? The video, Gsxrkz, me. Is that ok!?! The R1 is to litre sports bikes what the '85 GSXR750 was to racer replicas. The bike that changed the game. Sure there were Yammie 1000's, Zxr900s, Gixxer 11s and CBR 900s but the R1 changed the game. FZR1000s, YZF Thunderaces weren't nearly as race/performance focused as the modern 1000s because they didn't need to be, the 750s after all were the proddie race bikes. Early FZRs may have looked like their OWO1 brother but that's where the similarities end. They were different bikes with different design objectives. No-one is trying to diminish the legacy of the GSXR least of all me. Given I've owned the 85, 90, 91 and still own a beautiful, low k, spotless, first of the fuel injected 1998 SRAD Gsxr750, (and I've had a 1989 RGV250 for good measure as well) it wouldn't really make much sense for me to do so. I think it's safe to say I like Suzooks but my love of Suzzie doesn't prevent me from acknowledging the importance of other bikes. The R1 is the bike that re/defined the modern sports bike. It's not a controversial/bold claim to make. In fact it's kind of stating the obvious.
@@fnq-8890 if your talking about modern sportsbikes then it was fireblade that started it, speed, lightness and agility. Then it was the R1 that knocked the fireblade off its perch for abit.
stickloaf kawi has no issues either most of the youtube vids contain the zx10 or against someone who has one...manufacturers get their street cred by trying to be the zx10 especially in the aftermarket world
the amount of horsepower the new bikes deliver is insane and not needed for 99% of riders. You see it on the track every fuckin time. Me on the 98 750srad and me mate on the 04 cbr600rr constantly passing guys on 2008 and on literbikes.
Well what can I tell you the GSXR is back & just cleaned up the Oz Super Bike Championship first year in against a large field of well sorted seasoned R1Ms .. Live & learn buddy.
Inane Observations I love what bmw has done. However it has made everyone's 1000s get alot more expensive (at least where I live). I wish that they would have more versions like the r1s or naked versions that are alot more affordable for the rest of us like the gsx-s1000 so more of us could afford them. But if I ever get more fortunate and could afford a BMW I will get one. Too bad where I live the used bikes tend to be in such bad shape if they are sport bikes. Thankfully tho there are alot of more affordable middleweight nakeds for the rest of us as even the 600s have jumped alot in price and are fading away as a class anyway. But I can dream about the liter bikes, but with as much as I ride it will be a long time before one of them is affordable for me, and I have been riding on and off for 21 years
I try to find hold overs of bikes like the gsx-s750, z800, or fz 09. I got myself a hold over 2015 gsx-s750 (called gsr 750 elsewhere) for almost half off. I am gearing it down and modding it where I can. I know the liters are out of my price range for what I am willing to spend even after 21 years of riding, but I wish I could ride a liter bike (naked or faired) once. I might have to take a trip a few states away to go on a test drive sometime that is done by the manufacturers
Which in turn can thank the 05 GSXR1000, which can thank the 98 R1, which can thank the 92 CBR900RR. It seems every 6-7 years there's a big jump for the litre bikes.
Out of the three I would've chosen the gsxr. Of course that if my wife would firstly allowed me to buy one, second if I would've had money to buy one, and third if the local government would allow me to drive one on the roads. I live in China so no fancy bikes here.
Kawa very bad finish bike but fast and cheap, zuki ugly but very well built, honda is honda you cant miss, fast frendly quality wich is most important and expensive.in right hand honda is complete package
I love how Donnovan brags about how WSBK with Suzuki not entering a bike and Honda being at the back. So Donovan, where in MotoGP is Kawasaki? Oh, they didn't enter a bike? Right😂🤣. Oh, and what's that? Honda is in the top 5 for this season?
they are all fast enough to ride on the street were they belong few ever make it to the track most people ride on the street.too me 100 horses in plenty 600 size bikes are good and plenty
So imagine this, the zx10r makes all its power up top, but the gsxr makes comparable power down low. Where you're actually going to use it. Fuck a zx10.
Fireblade is the lightest feeling and the best looking to me; also more than likely the most reliable as well.
💯
Suzuki attached a motorcycle to that muffler. Clever.
Always....💯🔥Fireblade Rules🔥💯 The most, reliable, smoothest and forgiving liter bike around.

They remind me of the top gear trio from the old days!
Screw speed and performance, they're all fast. But looks... ZX10R makes it's presence known, it looks like a beast. A sexy angry beast.
ALL DAY!
I love GSX-R1000 L7, gixxer fanboi 4life.
I like the Fireblade lights.
Exactly what I was going to say. Looks like double the lighting.
Love the Nickey Hayden’s ride!!!!! Honda Fireblade.
I'm a Suzuki man through and through, but one cannot denigh the quality of bikes in this catagory.
1986 gsxr 750 the first race ready all aluminum 100hp Superbike. Suzuki started all.
1985 Gsxr 750
Space Jockey true, 1986 was the 1100.

For the looks gsxr for me, but zx10 is the fastest here
Always GSXR1000
Try ZX10R and you'll never want anything else.

Dude. Did you crash that day? Your gear looks roughed up really well.
Haven't started the video or read any comments. But I'm gonna guess they pick the Honda considering it was a top pick for bike of the year for them.
Lol! The shots throwing at each others bike in the beginning is so funny.. good video!

Very BOLD looking of the 3! My choice, of course.
And if wasn't for the GSXR in the first place back in the day the BMW would still be just a Boxer Twin.

I'm a Kawasaki guy when it comes to Japanese bikes 👍
Kawasaki ZX10R and Honda cbr 1000RR 💯👍👍👍👍👍
You guys always do weird combos of bikes. If you're doing all the Japanese manufacturers where is Yamaha?
yamaha is not having any trouble selling bikes right now so they probably had no inventory to spare or simply no desire
philtripe well it makes for a shitty vid lol

Yamaha R1 cannot keep up with the competition. So, no need to be included. I heard Yamaha makes great stereos, speakers and amplifiers! LOL

Did the fireblade sell well?
Didnt know frank zappa was still alive let alone a bike reviewing enthusiast
The cbr looks like the cbr600, and the gsxr looks the gsxr250 from India. The zx is beautiful
Kawasaki does not make cars, amps, stereos or speakers. All it does is focus on making the best bikes. Of course, the ZX10R is the best!
test rode all three and I have to say the fireblade is the best all around bike.
This is like top gear for bikes
