  • We've ridden them on track, now's the time to argue about them in the studio as we try in vain to come up with a verdict. At the end of the day, all three bikes are incredible but personal preference does come into it.

    This video was so simple but right to the point and a very good one It doesn't matter how fast the bikes can go 95% of the time the Operator is going to be the limiting factor these bikes go super fast!

      POMMEY BIKER any problems with the shifter and anti-wheelie?

    • @pommeybiker
      @pommeybiker 6 лет назад

      shifter was rubbish because the dealer didnt spend the time adjusting the angle to my foot (so i did it myself). Quick shifter is very nice when in the right foot position. Gotta shift it with some meaning (new engine) but it works as intended if you do. Havent made any wheelie attempts yet, its a week old, but the power is very connected to the brain. It makes perfect sense. Pull it back fast enough and shes light at the front. This bike feels very fun and exciting on 2 wheels on the apex, not on one wheel

    • @lockheed08
      @lockheed08 6 лет назад

      POMMEY BIKER it’s my number 2 choice right now, but those two things have me skeptical. From what I’ve seen in videos, the wheelie control cuts the power abruptly, slamming the front wheel back down. They should’ve just made it like everyone else. I heard the up/down quickshifter is amazing when it’s working right. Congrats on the new fireblade!

    loved the comment about the gsxr being a bully before and now being "sophisticated".
    I drive a 98 750srad on track, me mate an 04 cbr600rr, my gearbox broke down and I got to ride the last session on his bike.
    WOW what a difference... the srad feels and sounds ruff, like a hooligan the rr sounded so gentle and was very easy to ride, engine so soft and sophisticated...
    the RR was definately a surprise to me and my mate, being that I drove only 2 sec slower than him...
    that with holding a lot of reserve, not wanting to crash it...
    I do however like more the kick, thrill the gsxr gives.
    one big difference between the two was ergonomics. the rr was a very small bike, sitting all cropped up, the srad I look like a dragster on it. The srads tank ends halfway the RR's seat...

    You don't need to choose which bike you want based on speed and track performance fellas. Comfort and looks will come before it's track performance. I don't want or need a track bike. I want reliability and masterful engineering. I want great breaks and a gas gauge. I'd like a beautiful display that is clear to read no matter the lighting outside. I want my bike to sound mean, but not obnoxious. I want it start up every single time year after year. The machine that you can't stop looking at. I need to have great performance that leaves nothing to be desired. That's probably why I'm gonna buy a Honda CBR Fireblade. Straight up though it's really close and I love the big 4 from Japan. Honda, Kawasaki, Yamaha, Suzuki make wonderful engine's. The reliability of a Japanese bikes really is amazing to me.

    Guys, lap times are important. I just came from watching the MCN shootout and there were significant differences in lap-times around the circuit they tested. Whilst I agree that none of us are famous fast riders and couldn't use all of the bike's power/capabilities, it's still fun to know how much you can get from it. If all the bikes are so close and so great, the choice we make apart from looks (which is totally subjective) and brand loyalty, is based upon their performance and speed around a track and usability around town as a commuter, or as a sports tourer. So whilst I always prefer a local perspective on bike tests, I'm always going to go with what MCN say because their test is just more comprehensive and detailed. I'd prefer it the other way around frankly. Gauteng has the altitude which makes tests important as we're dealing with 16% less power. Dyno tests, quarter mile runs, and fastest laps, including a tour to Mpumalanga would be awesome to see on your show. With tests like this one, I'm left wanting I'm afraid. We know all the bikes are epic. You're there to tell and show us why. You've got the best job in the world!!! I know budget will always be a factor with what can you do, but at least make it a little more exciting for us to watch. Just saying :)

    BJ from Fast Bikes had an issue with brake fade on the track. Apparently the OEM brake fluid couldn't deal with the temps, creating condensation in the reservoir, then sucked the the rubber down into the reservoir tube. Might want to check if you still have the GSX-R.

    Fast forward to 2022...which one would you still want, only one answer there, the GSXR...even cruise control available for it now, ideal for that ride to the Bol d'Or! That Honda barely won anything, was a disaster on the road racing circuit, BSB, WSB,etc(OK a Bol d'Or), Kawasaki, built for competition, did well in most things , I.o.M etc, but has aged terrible, where as the Suzuki still has it, and it won the senior straight out the box at the TT Races, SERT have proved it reliable as usual in the World Endurance championship, comfy all rounder as sports bikes go, so in it's 6yrs in existence, the clear winner(Honda are still all at sea in most race series,they've lost their mojo)? New Ninja is certainly a better looker, but cannot be said for the new 'Blade, one here was quite a looker. Buy a R1 for the noise, otherwise, a Gixer!

When I was at kyalami for the bike festival, I rode the S1000RR, New Gixxer, Fireblade and R1 and the Honda had the most violent acceleration, it's the only bike I couldn't hold the throttle down on the straight. Did you guys find the same? Where the Honda felt like it pulled the hardest.

    Looks like the Main Editor Biased towards Honda .But Kawasaki will rule this segment for some time As Honda FB has to prove its Value of Performance for next 2-3 years Honda should have done this launch a year earlier and that would have made some serious impact on Market for 1000cc segment They are now late in this party with this very ordinary performing machine hope many of us will agree & Sustaining the compitition in modern world would be tough task .Honda is no more a choice Hardcore riders it's for older and more for ameture riders ,As Kawasaki is for a Rider All performance What superbike ment for ,Honda for A investment Purpose and for tad older riders . Suzuki Trying impress everyone or Trying to do everything and achieved nothing ,Yamaha very close to Kawasaki but asking too much for same , BMW ,Apprillia and Ducati are for flighthy rich ,Does the same thing as Kawasaki does but at Cost of few extra organs .KTM is New boy here,So very Exclusive and mental.Another 2-3 years and it will at par or even better than many up here and ruled this segment.Anyway the review was bit like Publicity campaign of Honda.God Save Honda FB

    Lmfao these guys are so biased it’s crazy and they shouldn’t be creating reviews on any bikes. First off the motor in the GSXR is by far the strongest maybe they were riding in C mode because they are noobs. The motor pulls harder than the BMW but it’s all about how biased the reviewer is or what their skill level is. Get actual racers on the bikes and do a review, not three out of shape old dudes. This is a zero value review.

    Brembo lend their name to the brakes but they aint proper Brembos. Fit an authentic Brembo mastercylinder and see the difference. That Gixxa looks shite, dust bin muffler and the graphics look like they were designed by a 3 year old for a lego kit.

    The handling has always been a week point on the gsxr?????
    And then you ride them at half lean angle...

      sledgehammermessiah sooo true. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 they lost my subscription when they gave it to honda. Not saying the gsxr is the best bike but it def poops on the honda 😅😅. Id rate the gsxr better then the r1 also and the bmw has transmission issues down the line. Wont see that on a shootout and out the box the gsxr is most def better then a zx10
