We’ve been watching game reviews for many years and yours my friend is the clearest explanation to date. Thank you keep up the great work.
Thanks! Really appreciate the kind words. =)
@@OldManGames your very welcome I like to give credit where it’s due.
I think the betting total in the scoring section was wrong and should have been 24 (15 + 5 + 4) and not 39 (30 + 5 + 4). Regardless a very good clear and concise video.
You are absolutely correct! I'm not sure why I multiplied by 6 instead of 3. Thanks for catching that!
Seriously good video! Clear, easy to follow, very well explained... here, have a thumbs up for this one.
Yessssss! Love to hear this. Thank you!
Fantastic & easy to digest instructions. I was having a hard time learning the game from other channels, and they have way more views. Subscribed.
Thanks, really appreciate that! Glad I could help you out. =)
Really nice explanation of the game! Thx!
Nice how to play video. Thank you for making it.
Thanks for this video. You explained it realy good.
Thanks! I went through the rulebook meticulously to ensure I didn't miss anything.
Is there a hierarchy when more than one player wants to buy the same horse on the same turn?
Yes. After the Horse Movement, each player will take one action in turn order. So it'll just go clockwise around the table, starting with the active player (who rolled the dice).
can i mark on a helmet after that horse passes the no bet line?
Yep, you can.
I'm fascinated by Kevin's hair
I was in desperate need of a haircut when I shot this video. 😂
Can you cross a horse over the finish line using a horse ability?
Nope. The rulebook states "Horses can only pass the finish line from a dice roll or secondary movement".
How do you remember that if a horse has crossed the no bet line and you HAVE NOT helmeted it but then in the future you DO helmet it (for the extra $5) , how do you remember that you cannot bet on it but it is helmeted? Does that make any sense lol
Well the whole point of the helmet is to allow a player to bet on a horse after it has passed the no bet line, but obviously before it crosses the finish line. I'm fairly certain that even if a horse crosses the No Bet Line before you acquire a helmet, that doesn't stop you from betting after you have the helmet. You don't need to get the helmet first.
@@OldManGames good point! I think we were overthinking it when we played last night. Thanks for the reply
I’m confused. At 12:32, for the yellow horse, you wrote 30. Shouldn’t it have been 15 (5x3)? Was it a mistake or am I missing something?
That was a mistake. I'm just bad at math, apparently. Good catch!
@@OldManGames appreciate the response! Keep up the great work!
So what if, due to secondary movement, two horses cross the finish line at the same time.?
you always go from lowest number to highest so whoever is lower crosses 1st
cool thanks @@ES-yc1tp
Sounds complicated. Nice video, though.
Thanks. It's really not too complicated. There's only a few things you can do each turn, so once you understand each of those things, it actually feels pretty straightforward and simple. I would highly recommend the game. It's a lot of fun!
@@OldManGames , I saw a group of 4 guys playing this at a local pub. They too said it's a lot of fun. Going to buy it, I think. Thanks again!
