My first roll n write was Fleet: The Dice game, this was my second and from Frank West and The Isle of Cats, Explore and Draw is my third. I like how they each play and feel different!

11:12 you mention skipping a turn to open up your wild spaces. You can only erase 1 per turn passed not all at once.

I like your background! It’s nice to see some games and hobby collectibles. Makes it more personal and interesting.

Thanks for viewing this game! I hope you do a similar viewing of Wild Serengeti and Meeples and Monsters too!

I like your analysis, at the beginning of the odds chart! You made it more clear for me to understand how they are figuring the odds and not just making just a random call.
Also, do try or at least watch a solo play thru. I found them very satisfying and plan on trying it out soon.

We just played this game over the weekend and loved it. Hope to play it again soon!

9:00 you mention the sets of 8 horses. The Kickstarter actually has 5 sets altogether.
    Apple
    Fence
    Chain
L (which is supposed to be finishing line)
    Hand giving a flower

You mentioned you would have to remove a game if you keep this one. What did you decide to do? If you kept Long Shot, which game did it bump?

I ended up getting rid of Diamonds (since I had the new Faux Diamonds and like that one better anyway).

Thanks for the review. I love that you compared it to other games.
    I love Camel Up.
One clarification question: at 4 players, which one would you prefer Camel Up or this? I don’t think I have room for 2 in my collection

That’s a tough one. They are both great at that player count. If you want a little more control and play with mostly gamer enthusiasts I’d say this one. If you more often are playing with a more casual crowd Camel up will be an easier teach

Royal Turf is the best of the bunch!

Miss the good old times when your thumbnail is just a pic of the game and not some question or comparison. It puts the game into focus. Now it is getting too clustered and clickbaity

    • @TheGameBoyGeeks
      @TheGameBoyGeeks  2 года назад +2

Click bait is when you post a title hoping it gets viewers but it doesn’t really have anything to do with the video or you don’t cover that aspect. I clearly talk about the other games on the title the idea is to let people know before they spend time on the video what will be convered in it. For example manypaid love one or both of the other games in this thumbnail. If they weren’t there people that might love this games might just miss it due to the amount of games coming out. So it’s really there to help viewers most efficiently spend their time.

@@TheGameBoyGeeks I really like the part of the video where you talk about other racing games that you consider in the same class and compare and contrast them. That is super helpful.
