we need comedy "Beverly Hills Ninja" in 4k Dolby Vision.....though if too expensive is bluray is fine since It is more about a good quality transfer and color pallet. They need to Release 4k remastered "Revenge of the Nerds" all of the series, and "Police Academy", "Porky". Also Some 80s Action, Adventure flicks were also kinda Comedy "Romancing the Stone" "Jewel of the Nile".
I am happy for old/no release comedies to get 4K transfers even if they are not exactly 4K quality. They will have better bitrate and sound which ensures a quality playback. If I had to wait for one of those sale events to purchase, I would because there has to be value for the collector as much as the studio. No studio is making comedies like they did back in the day. Spend your money on remastering Mr. Studio.
That's discrimination every movie deserves a 4K no matter the genre. Comedy fans want their laughs on 4K too. I have little in the way of comedy but they're only on VHS or DVD as I don't care too much for them. But as a horror fan I welcome movies on 4K even if I only buy my very favorites. Good rant and cool video Mike!👍
@megamikethemovieman to me every movie deserves a 4K because it's someone's favorite. If it wasn't that I began with VHS in 1984 and then DVD in 2005 I would buy everything 4K. But it would be insane and co$tly to upgrade all of my horror collection to Blu-ray or 4K. So I just upgrade my very favorites.🤑
I agree that we don't need everything on 4K. As long as they have a bluray that looks good, I'm fine with that. Many I'm ok with the older DVDs but some are terrible. For me Galaxy Quest was a great jump from crappy DVD to 4K, as I never got the BD.
@@megamikethemovieman I think the comedies need to be more affordable to entice buyers to pick up. But hard to tell the way things have been going lately.
Before we even start talking about films getting a 4k release. We should be talking and asking the studios & small labels why are there not more first time catalog titles being released on bluray or 4k before all these catalog titles being released on 4k. That already been released on bluray but now are getting an upgrade to 4k. And if the studios & small labels want to release comedies on 4k. Then they should also release more first time catalog titles on either bluray or 4k along with all those re-release of films. And that is what should be done in 2025 if we want bluray & 4k to be number 1& 2 on the market chart sales & by doing that maybe 2025 will be the year that we will finally see DVDs format start to decline & fall in market sales charts as bluray & 4k format start to over take in market chart sales as number 1 & 2 & DVDs start to fall to number 3 on the market sales charts

I love John Candy! So looking forward to Uncle Buck and Summer Rental.
I know right!! What are your top 3 favorite John Candy movies of all time?
@ The Great Outdoors, Uncle Buck, and probably Summer Rental. What are your 3 favorite movies of his?
@ Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Uncle Buck & Career Opportunities(even though he has a small roll in that one).
I don't need my yucks in high definition....
Like not even on Blu-ray’s? You ok with DVDs?
Do Comedies deserve 4Ks?
I think its unnecessary.

@@megamikethemovieman My preference is for releases, especially OOP movies.
