The cable could be the “premium optical fiber cable” that Oculus is supposed to release for the Quest later this year. It’s intended purpose is to wire the Oculus Quest to a pc, so it can operate similarly to the Rift S. It could probably be used in Linus's situation. EDIT: The replies to my comment suggest that the cable could be from other sources, or may simply be an adapter. I'm only offering my own opinion, so feel free to make your own assumptions. :)

I've had systems pull close to a 1000W. I have a 1200W now and I pull about 700-750W at full tilt, Radeon 7 severely overclocked, 3900X mild overclock and 16 fans 2 CCFC tubes, 2 UV strips, and a pump.

There is a big difference between 10% memory performance and 10% CPU performance. For most games, neither make a huge difference but for something like ANNO you would probably notice the bump in CPU performance. Extreme RAM isn't worth it imo unless you are going for an overclock record or you have a specialised application for your system.

On the other hand, they often had features that no more expensive motherboard would--I had one once that supported both DDR and DDR2 RAM (albeit not both at the same time), so you could put your crappy old RAM in it when you upgraded, then later upgrade the RAM as well.

On the other hand, they often had features that no more expensive motherboard would--I had one once that supported both DDR and DDR2 RAM (albeit not both at the same time), so you could put your crappy old RAM in it when you upgraded, then later upgrade the RAM as well.

Another German RUclipsr also reported on these defective blocks a little before all this. But seems like linus experienced the leak first. He just didn't realize its a design flaw at that time.

@@HPerrin I like Linus, but he does this a lot. I mean, it's his stuff, so it's cool. Anyone else would just drain and refill the loop, then test it. Instead he needed a separate person to hold an expensive graphics card just to make sure water didn't get into sensitive components.
It's just funny to me. It's a shortcut that can bite you in the ass (as it has in the past for him). I'm glad it worked out for him at least. It just made the whole process needlessly complicated.

My thoughts precisely, Shadow had to touch everything!!!!!! I also realized he had to hold it for probably at least 30 minutes during the switch out of the boards and the talking..... Which it gets harder overtime... Especially since it didn't look like he could prop his arm on anything. It looked like the table was further back.
