Outrigger looks best! 👍
Looking from my listening position, yes it has that "stanced" look that I like too.
Make sure the label faces forward. Very important step. Based on the measurements I have conducted it reduces harmonic distortion and bass drone by a factor of 10.
Wow. thanks for sharing!
Why is that
True.
Great video.
Can’t comment on but aesthetically I dont really care for either. Adds visual bulk and clutter to what is a very clean design.
Thanks for the demo on these, I am interested to try a set. I think they need to do away with the knurled locking nut and just use X2 normal locking nuts with the slim spanner.
Yeah, accessing the knurled locking nut is a pain.
Other then promoting the brand, what possible reason does facing the name forward have?
Will these be your end game? For me, it is lol, sound demo soon please ty for posting here on youtube, maybe I only can afford the monitors
It's looking like it, at least on speakers and amp. Sources like preamps, dac, turntable - oh no, pls don't let my mind wander into "what if I..." cravings again :)
I think you are correct that the outriggers doesn’t look as nice but the stability gain is good if there a children or dogs. But I have carpet and I’m not too sure I’d spend that on some feet! Do you have a big room for the 700’s?
My room is just 13x20ft but opens up to the dining room on the side and hallway and stairs behind with high ceilings. I don't think Gaia needed for the A700. It's already so good as it is.
If I would buy A700's, I most certainly would use outriggers.....if I knew how to get them here in the EUropean Union. I am sure there are plenty of other brands and models for this, but searching for them is proving to be a bit of a problem.
In my current listening position, my ears are above the speakers. Do you think it's worth getting feet like Gaia to level them to my height, or did your tests show that the dispersion is good enough also without being on level with the speakers?
That's actually one of the reasons I liked the Gaia - to level the mids to my ear while at couch. But that's just the OCD in me. I can't hear the difference, even standing up or down.
@@NoStereoNoLife Yeah, they have great dispersion, but the Gaia does give them a more premium look, so maybe I'll add them later.
They also look so small in my living room. I feel a bit ashamed when I look at the pictures that buyers are posting on the community FB page. They all look so big. I have to "biff" them up ;-)
@@Mr.Grimble Before I settled on the outrigger+gaia, I was actually looking into getting a granite platform. But then I saw the price I ran away lol. Maybe a nice cinder block.
@@NoStereoNoLife Wait, I thought the ears should meet the tweeters not the mids. Btw my ears already at the tweeter level, so that is why I have not considered Gaia yet.
Hey, I am wondering what is the best way to install the GAIA on my Monitor Audio Bronze 500? Am I better to fix them directly to the base of the speaker or with outrigger ?? Thank you !
I would use with the outrigger included in your MAB500. They look really nice and seems that's how they designed it too. Your manual says the speaker is using M10 threads. The Gaia comes only in M6, M8 and 1/4" adaptors. I think you get more flexibility by using the outrigger too.
@@NoStereoNoLife Thanks for the reply. I used it with the outriggers and I'm very happy with the look and the sound! :)
Gx 200 gold here, wondering the same thing..... time to look at the manual lol
I like the sound better without the Gaia.
With the original rubber feet the soundstage is much wider and taller it's almost like surround sound.
I'm not sure if you are comparing to the last demo (Sarah McLachlan). If so, that music has really more "live" sound to it. And with that voice it just echoes more into the room.
@@NoStereoNoLife Yes, the last demo.
is adding the Gaia improves the sound a lot ?
To me not a lot on the A700. The base and feet were already well-designed with nice isolation pad between the speaker and base. On my previous 705s2 setup, it was more noticeable.
Wow, what is your microphone model ?
Shure MV88
So what's going to happen to your precious gears
I'm not rich, so I have to fund the next gear by selling current/old ones. I think it's a good thing, I don't have a big house to store them :)
I know you already have
Actually no Gaia looks best, but I guess you already bought the assessories.
Yes. I have to use them :)
@@NoStereoNoLife that's no hardship. They look to be fantastic speakers. When my divorce comes thru . i am going to upgarde my dynaudio 110 active speakers to either these same Buckhardt a700s or Dynaudio XD 60s, so am interested in how you get on.
@@gaycha6589 The Danes knows how to make speakers.
