Zhiyun reached out to me about my concerns, they took the feedback very well and reported it to their Engineering team. They also reported that none of the other reviewers complained about fan noise or the Bowens mount....so it's sounding like I might be unlucky and received a defective unit.
Overall, the product has a very unique and cool design, it's lightweight, powerful, color accurate, and affordable. If my unit is faulty...and there truly is not a fan noise or Bowens mount problem, then this light is a good buy. Great for beginners and Creators on a budget.

Look perfect for me. I’m a solo interview filmmaker. I film indoors and II transport everything in pelican cases. The more weight and space I can save the better.

Just got three B200’s … the lights and reflectors can fit in the space of two of my older lights and they weigh less.
11:30 in my case, this is a perfect for gaffer / content creator in indoor situation with many electrical outlets available (cafe/restaurant/house). we still move, but indoors, and have to pack it all up at the end of the day. Portability is a plus.
Yeah, good point. I think if the light is >10ft away and you have a pretty directional mic, you’ll be fine with the noise.
Great balanced review! Do you know if the fans are significantly less noisy with the B100 version?
Edit: I hope Zhiyun will send you another unit to compare the fan noise of the B200. To know for sure if it’s improved over your review unit. I have a feeling it’s not..
What are the dimensions with bracket folded?
I am more interested by the compact version G200, as a solo filmmaker it would be perfect, this one looks weird in terms of shape
I am as well. I like to setup book lights and the G300 looks perfect for that….i just hope the fans aren’t too loud since it’s such a small package
