    Omg. The question was “Did he offer to you to open the doors of Hollywood?” Not “Did you take his any of his offers?” She asked what HE did. There was no reason for her to storm off like that.

    I understand that Rose was offended but the same time, because we are going across languages here sometimes things when translated in English can be a lot more direct and harsh than what the Italian speaker actually means. I just know this because I can speak both Italian and English languages. Often people speak more directly and may sound ruder than they actually intend because they are speaking a second language not because they actually mean to be rude. And the Italian woman was kind and not rude in my opinion: all she was asking was what types of ploys did Harvey use, if any? They're bonding over their shared experiences, right?

      I think McGowan's mental state has been very messed up by the media attention that being a spokesperson for MeToo brings ...
      She's like a deer caught in the headlights ... she's become overly suspicious of anyone who comes forward to support the cause accusing them of not doing enough, she's put herself in the role of a judge above anyone who wants to join the movement, innocent people like Natalie Portman was unnecessarily over scrutinised when she wanted to chip in for the cause ...
      I think McGowan should just slow down and re-organise her thought process and put things into perpective. She could use her charisma in much more productive ways than to nit pick the wrong targets, she could have focused more squarely on the big executives and the overall cultural biases ..
      She do deserve a lot of sympathy for what she went through ... but I worry if this media blitz can potentially destroy her mental state instead of helping her mentally ...

      @@88feji Well, of course she's overly cautious of those saying they're supportive of her. Weinstein's people literally hired a former Mossad agent to pose as a female activist to gain her confidence. She only appears to be overly sensitive to people because they're not fully aware of what she's actually been subjected to over the years. I mean, she's in this clip with Asia Argento, who ended up having an accuser of her own. Whether you believe it to be true, or merely another smear tactic to discredit a woman accusing powerful men...there it is. It seems nearly impossible to know who to trust in all this and trying to navigate that on a daily basis has to be maddening and exhausting, to say the very least. It's easy to sit in judgement of a person who's struggles we can't actually even begin to imagine.

      Thelols x Getting raped is not a minor event. It is life altering, and traumatic. You feel helpless, and as if you aren’t in control of your own body. Your boundaries have been violated, and afterwards it feels as if a part of you has died. Even with therapy, getting raped is hard to overcome. When you claim that rape is a “minor” event, it lacks empathy towards people who have experienced it. Please be more empathetic when discussing about rape/rape victims in the future.

    She has NOT been talking about this for 20 years. She kept her mouth shut until someone else stood up for these women and she decided her voice was louder and took it over because her story is more important. She accepted hush money 20 years ago! She didnt talk about it...SHE KEPT HUSHED JUST LIKE HE TOLD HER TO. she didnt open th2ia metoo door...someone else did and she pushed her way through the line to get HER more important story out to us. So she looks like a hero. She is not my hero!!! She is a follower dressed like a leader.

    BS Harvey didn't open anything for her, that happened in 1997 (which is why she might not of been in Devil In The Flesh 2.) She was in Devil In The Flesh 1 in 1996 as well as a movie as huge as Scream also in 1996 and she had the lead in Jawbreaker which was 1999 and finally Charmed. Rose is really a brilliant actress, watching her I swear you'd never think anything happened and her real personality is so different than how you'd imagine by how she acts on screen. She is a great actress and people need to appreciate her talent.

    Rose McGowan is starring in her own film that is taking place in her own head. I hear so many of these women speak and I genuinely believe they're fighting without vanity or self-righteousness and self-martyrdom but I look at McGowan and it seems so artificial and exploitative. I could be wrong but it sure feels that way. She has become a symbol of indignant outrage, but that alone isn't going to solve much. Rather than stay and explain her emotions her first instinct is to make a fuss and walk off. She is using being offended as her statement rather than engaging in actual dialogue. Being eternally outraged might seem like strength to some, but honestly I don't think she's accomplishing nearly as much as her counterparts engaging in the actual conversation.

    To ask whether he offered to open doors for her is an offensive question because it suggests that there was some semblance of a "consensual" business exchange. It perpetuates rape culture with the suggestion that the victim invited it or was to be blamed because she (or he) "asked for it" in exchange for roles, fame, prestige, etc. Rose already stated over and over again that she was raped ie. his advances were UNWANTED, so those kinds of questions are more for curiosity than for support or understanding and shouldn't have been asked in the first place. (Why does it even matter whether or not he offered??) Doesn't matter if you like Rose or not, that question was offensive because of what it insinuates.

      She's said openly that she asked for the money so all that you've doesn't really factor in.
      Also, it's not rape, it's a really desperate person doing something for money from a crummy guy. If he got in her way, grabbed her, anything else THAT would be rape. I know plenty of women upset that this is treated the same as they were in dark alleys, terrible homes, etc. Stop blaming everything on tape culture, you can't empower women by victimizing them, especially the ones who are semi-insane.

    Rose is honestly the only person who’s spoken out that I really follow & deeply admire. It sounds dumb, but a big part of why my ears prick up whenever she speaks is because she’s not “poor women this, poor women that” even though I’m a woman myself. She’s so awake in that we are all human & gender doesn’t matter, she’s a strong human being, not just a “strong woman”. She even exposed how women in the circle aren’t all innocent & controlled either, how it’s often the women that actually trap these young upcoming people & are just as bad as the men. I’m a female myself but I’m so far from a feminist, feminism actually makes me cringe & I don’t know why. I think probably because I understand oneness. There’s some bad humans out there. Maybe that’s why I’m so glued to listening to her cause it’s not ever going to be a filtered, poor women speech, but it’ll always be the truth, unfiltered, without gender being the main story. Anyway, I just bought her book on Kindle but then had to move, think I’ll start reading it today. She’s an amazing human being!!! 💜💜

    I don't see how what she asked was offensive. Rose is either playing it up for the cameras or taking things in a context it isn't meant. She's asking if he made these kind of promises trying to understand what things he said and did. Alot of women were afraid to tell anyone out of fear that they'd ruin their careers

    • @anthonycharles1185
      @anthonycharles1185 6 лет назад +2

      Kalinna Vyacheslavovna - The women (& men) who have spoken out about these experiences have stated what methods men in power have used to assault them. Then there are the many people who have spoken up but choose not to speak openly about the experience. Rose seems to want to be both outspoken and “Brave” yet she is not willing to have an open and honest conversation.

    • @kalinnavyacheslavovna2760
      @kalinnavyacheslavovna2760 6 лет назад +3

      That's basically the same thing I'm saying lol I'm meaning that there was no reason for Rose to be offended by what was asked because they're trying to bring a better understanding to others how it happened or what was said as a learning tool for people in the future. Everyone hears about the "casting couch", before all of this blew up it didn't go past being a dirty little secret. People were ashamed of what happened and thought if they spoke out it could ruin their careers. If she want's to bring about any change she should have no issue speaking about the subject yet whenever someone says something that can be misconstrued she has a fit and walks off camera. It's not the first time she's done it. It's gone far beyond the "me too " movement and now turned into something that they are trying to gain from

      Kalinna Vyacheslavovna- I agree with you! It’s really annoying to see her not only make the conversation all about her, but to be rude and childish to someone who is trying to have an open honest conversation. You can’t teach people if you are defensive and make someone look bad just for trying to understand or ask a question when you have an open discussion. But isn’t Rose always saying that she’s sick of people not being honest and direct and asking tough questions?

  • @paperplains7285

    Her anger clearly shows she has not dealt with her trauma. She needs to forgive and heal so she can live a happy, stress-free life. Anger and bitterness will kill you. Forgiveness is for you, not some pass for the person that abused you.

    Rose said in previous a interview that she requests a level of understanding from those who interview her, " I'm not on the outside looking in." In this circumstance the women's question could of been suspicious. Rose does comes off unsettling in this clip. It's a subliminal question and not a question I would of asked unless I was her lawyer

    I don’t blame her for walking away. I was bullied for many years to the point where I became suicidal and there’s people who told me they don’t believe bullying exists. They say it’s just playful tease and that it possibly could be because I provoked them with my “gayness”. Of course I was angry. It’s very hard to be honest about these things and then there’s people who don’t believe you. That’s quite heartbreaking tbh.

    • @CallmeXtina80
      @CallmeXtina80 6 лет назад +1

      yeah, but what people are saying in here is you probably didn't willfully hang out with your bullies for years and then accused them 15 years later. I'm not saying I think the same too, it's a really difficult topic, but this is the big criticism. I know Asia's story and I have heard her side, and she replied to this same question a trillion times in Italy. I think answering that might convince a lot of people with mixed feelings, whereas running away just lets the doubt linger.

    It’s crazy that you can literally sense the tension in her body and how she’s actively searching for an opportunity to get offended/defensive. If she was as smart as she thinks she is, she would be able to empathize with people instead of getting angry at every turn. Child.
