      Lol that’s how I felt when I was teaching my kids about locking hair! I kept telling them to turn the hair clockwise, not realizing most of them can’t read an analog clock! 😂😂

    Thank you so much for this !! I'm a mom of a 6 year old girl and have started practicing with braiding hair for her and I can only do the over hand braids so this made it SO much easier to figure out how to feed in hair and do some cute styles for her !

      My trouble is while trying to follow what he’s doing- he is braiding over and I braid cornrows under. So I got stuck while trying to do my daughter’s head. I had to just refigure while braiding under.

    From someone who does this often. I have thin hair so I find adding a lot of small hanks works best for me. So lots of small. Take your time y’all got this👏👏👏

    I've been a hairdresser for almost 19 years, and I have to tell you, I STILL have a very hard time braiding other ppl's hair.... I can do all kinds of braids on myself, but could never quite master doing it on others. Sooo frustrating. Can anyone else relate? Lol

      Me!! I relate! I can do intricate braids on myself without even a mirror just by feel while sitting in bed watching t.v., and my best friend I think almost doesn't believe me when she asks me to do her hair and I just can't get it the same on her! Working on someone else's head just doesn't feel the same to me and I CAN'T explain why but I get sloppy and lost!

      I'm the exact opposite. I can do great braids on others but on myself 😅... but I've been working to don't better on myself. I can french briad my own hair but I have to really think about it while I'm doing it. Lol.

    You are a wonderful teacher. I used to know how to french braid, but I didn't do it for a long time, so I've forgotten how. I need a refresher course. Need to leave perms alone. Had beautiful long thick hair. I got I'll and it broke off. So now it's wigs and braids. I'm going to try box braids next.

    Honestly for me. Shine jam is the key to the braids turning out. I cant do anything with my childs hair without the shine jam first. Im so glad this video braids over lol.

    I watched this and realize I do under on others hair and over on mine. This won’t work on the human hair wear I just ordered but I can try with other type. This is going to take a good deal of practice on my own head!! The thing’s you learn here ... thank you!🙏🏿👍🏿👏🏿❤️😎

    Very very helpful video! Thank you for doing this on curly hair too! I see so many braiding videos on perfectly straight, fine hair and I feel like it’s just so different from my hair type it makes it hard to follow. Now I’ve just got to learn to braid on myself 😭

    🤯Shine and jam adds grip to textured hair not slip so use a texturizing wax-you just dropped a whole gem on me. What kind do you suggest for 4c hair?
