    ❤ Hi... Is the density and length of the hair determine how many pieces you feed in becasuse i made attempt on my 9 year old hair and they came out decent but i felt i needed to add more hair but she also has short hair i felt three to four pieces was ok..

    • @ChelseaAlexa
      @ChelseaAlexa  Год назад +1

      Heyyy, yes density and length definitely matters! You basically want to match the client’s thickness with the added hair. You don’t want to make it look too unnatural so for people with longer and thicker hair, you may not add as many pieces because it’ll get too bulky. But if someone has thinner or shorter hair, you may want to add a few more pieces so they don’t look too thin. It’s really about finding the balance so it’ll be different for everyone

    • @aletajones3760
      @aletajones3760 Год назад

      @@ChelseaAlexa that the thing my daughter hair is thick but short but in a afro to make puffs and the cornrows came out bumpy when adding just two strands but I did bigger braids not anything small.. it won't ugly but I should of used more bigger extension strands two pieces to make the big braid as not bumpy.. I see bigger braids need more bigger extension strands and more jam.. I see why people feel more comfortable with small braids and medium less hair to used .

    • @ChelseaAlexa
      @ChelseaAlexa  Год назад +1

      @@aletajones3760 yeah there are a few different ways to go about it. One thing you can do is just add her to her ends for length if you feel like adding them to the base of her braids makes it too thick. But it does take some time to kinda figure out how to adjust your technique to density and things like that
