Cornstarch must be cooked in order to thicken. If you like yours thicker I would suggest a no cook thickener such as ultra gel which is a modified food starch. It can be used in hot or cold applications.

this is the best catalina i have ever tasted
This is also great as a marinate or in place of bbq sauce or my heavens a dip. My kids loved it because of the sweet and sour taste.
The only thing we used on bar-b-qued chicken!

We use Western dressing in our house. I’d never hard of it until I had supper with my future in-laws, 49 years ago! Can’t wait to try this.
Catalina and "Western" dressing are virtually the same.

Great with shrimp or crab in a crunchy salad.
This dressing is great smeared on grilled steak. Just put some on the steak a few min before moving off the grill.

I do not recommend subbing onion juice for the onion

Good dressing, but next time I am going to use a half cup Splenda one cup was too sweet, I also added pepper to taste. But a good recipe.😀
